I was thrilled to find a boba place in East Mesa. I was super-impressed that the clientele was a mix of men and women too... typically you see a lot of young females in boba shops, but this one had all kinds of clientele. I also really loved the interior design, it's very upbeat and inviting. Love the artificial tree with pink leaves/flowers... But boba tea shops are about the tea, and mine, although it tasted good and came in that cute cup with cat ears, had very little boba in it. Maybe 1/8 of a cup at most. I don't drive to a boba shop and pay $7 (with tip) to get a small handful of boba. Might as well make your own tea at home for .30. I do hope it was an off day and that they're typically more generous than this normally. Otherwise, I won't return. Try the black sesame. It's delicious and amazing. read more

Great to see boba Cutea in east Mesa! First timer at this location. But I prefer the Gilbert one as the host and people serving the teas are super nice and friendly. The staff at this location seemed grumpy and didn't seem to care when they got my order wrong. The one man serving the pickup counter lacked patience and was annoyed when I gave him my receipt when he called out my number. He just walked away when I called him and said the teas weren't my order Would surely visit for the teas and bear the rude and grumpy staff at this location! read more

I've been looking for a boba shop close to home and this is less than 5 minutes but I'd rather drive somewhere else for my boba fix. This is my second time here and my first was a very pleasant experience so that's why I came back. NEVER again. When I first walked in, no one greeted us and it wasn't even busy. Just 1 couple sitting at the table. No acknowledgment at all. Whatever. It was only the girl with the red hair and an older man. I got the strawberry tea slush and my son got mango ice Mochi frappe. I give mine a 7/10. Very mid. But the crystal boba was good. My son gave his a 9/10 because he likes the little mochi his drink came with. The things like the boba plushies and little charms and humidifiers they sell there, I've seen online like shein and Amazon. Never coming again DUE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. The man called our drinks out and I wasn't sure if it was ours because I couldn't hear clearly due to my 4 kids talking to me. If you have kids then you know the struggle already. So I went up to the counter and asked nicely "is this mine?" Because more people were coming in and wasn't I wasn't sure so that's why I asked him so I don't grab someone else's drink. And his rude ass goes "uh yeah I called your order right?" In the most condescending tone. That was very irritating. I had to bite my tongue just because my kids are there. A simple yes would've been nicer idk why the attitude. But yeah never again. I had better service and boba somewhere else. And their health score is a C. I hope to CEE YA out of business or take some type of customer service classes. read more

Super cute, modern aesthetic with great vibes. The music is great - it's kpop but it's a good mix of artists, not just the trending songs - and the staff are really friendly. The service was fast, my drink was finished only a minute after I had sat down. The reason I only give this place 4 stars though is because I feel like the drinks are just average. We purchased 3 boba drinks, steamed bao , and a waffle pop. $30 worth . My children then spent their own $5 on plushie machines. We then asked to exchange 4 quarters for a dollar bill. The owner said he didn't want any more quarters and denied this favor to my children. $35 dollars later and a request to spend one more dollar left me feeling like this guy doesn't get it, and therefore needed a review of how to treat customers asking to spend more money. read more

Wanted to take my kids out to get some boba on our family day. Checked yelp for boba place close by. We have one that we always goes to but the kids wanted to try a new place. Found Boba Cutea just opened up very close to our house. When we got there, we were really excited. It's a cute place. Giving up that kawaii vibe. We ordered 4 different drinks and when we got ours, they were in those cute cups and looked good except one. I don't know how they can mess up an order. One of the drink we got tasted bland and just ice. Big bits of ice like it wasn't blended all the way through. I couldn't taste the flavor that I got. I went up to tell them and the guy was nice about it. He made me a new drink. The new drink I asked for a regular instead of slushy. 2 out of 4 drinks we liked. Super cute boba spot! Now that I moved to the area for school from CA, I have been concerned about the boba spots around here haha but after reading the stellar reviews about this spot, I decided to come try it out for myself! There's a huge selection for each type and kind of drink with 3-5 drinks in each category so it doesn't get too overwhelming. Every time I go to a boba spot, if they have oolong osmanthus tea, I always HAVE to get it. A lot of boba spots do not serve this tea so when I saw it, I thought that was pretty cool! You can adjust the sweetness level if needed but since it was my first time, I wanted to just try the drink how it is standard then make my judgement. The drink was BOMB. A little bit too sweet for my taste but now I know to adjust it next time. It also came with honey boba which was extremely chewy and soft - just how I like my boba! The drink also came in a super cute cup so it's fun for the kiddos. Overall 5/5! read more
