Caramel Black Milk Tea(Large)-Non Dairy with boba, tasted like very watered down milk and skimped on boba.

UPDATE: in reply to the owner's reply - my daughter and I came into the business less than five minutes after ordering online. It said the order would take twenty minutes to prepare but we came inside 15 minutes early to wait indoors for it and it was indeed ready. The caramel couldn't possibly have dissolved into the drink in less than five minutes lol. They just didn't add it at all :) First time trying , daughter usually likes krak about five min away. Decided to try something new since we got pizza next door. Ordered online, place looks cute inside but no one greeted us even thought there was a few workers in the building. Even when I went up, the girl didn't smile or had any type of greeting or customer service. Order was ready early which is a plus but they weren't busy sooo. My daughter who is 6 years old said thank you before we left and NO ONE acknowledged her. None of the workers or the workers filming a video. Rude much? At least she has manners! Now I see what the other reviews are talking about the missing customer service. Ordered her a caramel milk tea with boba and it came out to $7.00. but there was no caramel sauce around the cup like the website and toast photos. Tasted like watered down milk and skimped out on the boba. Will not be back because of quality, price based on quality, and customer service. Plenty of way better boba spots 5-10 minutes away such as Krak, Monster on woodruff (a couple dollars cheaper too), not to mention the dozens in Cerritos !

Yummy aesthetic drinks with great flavor. Tried this boba shop while visiting LA and it did not disappoint.

We were craving some boba and wanted to try this spot out since it was the closest boba shop to our current location! Location was clean, nicely decorated, cute decor. Service was great, we opted to order on self serve screen. We got the lychee, dragonfruit, mango slush with boba and I got the strawberry mango slush with boba. Both were good, boba was super soft and chewy! Perfect texture, a bit pricey both came out to be $16 total.

I tried Boba Bee and for the most it was a pretty good experience. We got the Thai tea slushie with boba and a taro milk tea with boba, both were good. They have a really cool self order machine so that made the order process quicker, and they have a pretty cool wall if you want to take any photos or videos. The menu is reasonably priced. Its your nothing cheap nothing super expensive. The only negative thing was the wait time. It took a lot longer than we expected for just two drinks. It looked like they had a lot of pickup orders, so I think those were being prioritized. Other than that the staff was friendly and it was a nice spot to get a drink if you just happen to be in the area.

(Please note, this is a review update posted so late that the promo mentioned is no longer offered at Boba Bee) I came on a pretty hot Thursday after spending the day out and about. I had run out of my one drink inside my car, and I needed another one. Even though the Lakewood Boba Bee is closer to me than this location, this one wasn't too far off from my last destination that I went a little out of the way just to give this location another go at watermelon drinks, which were half off. Boba Bee offers two watermelon drinks: Watermelon Wave and Watermelon Lemonade. The Wave comes with Lychee Jelly while the Lemonade comes with Aloe Vera, though either topping can be subbed out for a different topping at no additional charge. Though I was willing to give their Watermelon Lemonade another try, it was getting really hot outside that I wanted the slushie drink over the lemonade. Phone in hand with the "50% off Watermelon Drinks" email I received from Boba Bee, I asked the male bobarista for the prices, knowing they could be different from the Lakewood location, but I can confirm the prices are the same across both locations. This time, I wanted to have a little fun with my order. Instead of Lychee Jelly, I asked to sub that with the Aloe Vera, and then I asked for another topping on top of the subbed topping, which would then bring my total to an even $8. Except he forgot to add the promo code for half off watermelon drinks until I reminded him. I suppose just showing him the email didn't suffice; I have to verbally let them know my intent to use the promo. He handed me my receipt, which printed out a familiar name: Aerick. My very first Boba Bee drink was a Watermelon Wave from the Lakewood location, and Aerick was the one who served me back then. That could very well be the same Aerick, especially since an employee working in Lakewood one day could be working in Long Beach the next day. I have a feeling it was because his weakness at descriptive answers to my inquiries persisted. I had already tried chamoy on my last Watermelon Wave, so I was intent on getting tajin, which Aerick simply described as a spice when I asked what exactly it was. I still said yes to the tajin albeit dubiously. I noticed his female co-worker had started to make my drink even before my transaction was done, which explained why my wait was literally a minute. However, instead of saying my order number or my name, both of which are on the sticker over my cup, she simply said "Watermelon Wave" as she placed the drink on the pickup counter. I knew it was mine because there wasn't any other customer in the shop, but that maneuver threw me off a little. Hopefully, they don't yell out drink names in a full house, especially if multiple customers order the same drink! The first thing I noticed was how pink the drink was! I think that's because of my choice of tajin over chamoy because it looked more red with the chamoy, but since I'm not too familiar with the two, it's hard to say for sure. Also, the watermelon flavor didn't come out as strong on this one. It's still a good refreshing drink nonetheless that I was able to finish it before I got home. However, I'm not sure why the watermelon flavor was lacking here, and I really don't want to say it's because of the tajin being overpowering in taste. I'm more than willing to give the Watermelon Wave another try, but without the chamoy and tajin. I wanted to give the Watermelon Lemonade from this location another go, and guess who served me again? Aerick. Actually, he almost didn't have to ring me up since I was trying my luck at the kiosk, but unfortunately, I could not find a way to customize my order. I was intent on switching out the aloe vera for crystal boba, which wouldn't incur an upcharge. However, I could not find a way to do it on the kiosk, so I had to go up to Aerick to let him know. Aerick prepared my Watermelon Lemonade so quickly that I almost left without realizing that the bottom of my receipt didn't show my points balance. Aerick was happy enough to print out another receipt, which did show my points balance. That Watermelon Lemonade was much better this time around! There was more watermelon flavor here than in the Wave, but I think there could have been a little more. I still recommend nonetheless if you like both watermelons and lemonade. They also have some photos of their employees by the Boba Bee backdrop in the near corner. One of them even put their Pokemon Go friend code on her photo? lol that's a new one! The employees have been pretty cool for the most part, including Aerick. They'll make slip ups every now and then, but I've never seen them be rude or in a bad mood. And yes, the rhyme was intended lol. The verdict: Still three stars, but inching closer to four!

Mama Bee or Ube Cloud?? The Mama Bee (Ube Crème Brûlée) is extremely creamy and overly sweet. The drink is also not cold enough for my liking. To put it in short words it tastes like drinking frosting through a straw. 3/10 Ube Cloud (Ube with Oreo) is a slushy so it is much colder and in my opinion tastes much better. 8/10 I have tried a lot of the drinks on the menu including: Boba Bee Milk Tea (Oolong Tea) & Thai Tea 10/10- you can't go wrong with the classics and you can adjust the sweetness Tropical Breeze 9/10- this drink is refreshing and delicious. I wish the dragon fruit flavor peaked out more Pumpkin Chai 8/10- this is a seasonal drink and it tastes like pumpkin horchata! I really enjoyed this drink. Pumpkin Cheesecake 8.5/19- I was blown away with how good this drink was. I wish they kept this on their regular menu. Finally, I have ordered from this place before on DoorDash and they did mess up my order and forgot to add boba to one of my drinks. Not a big deal but something worth sharing.

Walking in on a Friday night around 9 pm I didn't see anyone at the front so I thought it was closed. But as soon as we walked in, an employee came out to greet us. I really appreciated this as a lot of places with young teenage workers lack basic customer service. He was patient and stood there until we decided what to order. They were also playing Jonas brothers, which made me feel nostalgic! I got the Baby Bee which was really good, but some mushy yellow texture that stuck to my tongue threw me off. My bf ordered the brown sugar iced tea boba and his was really good too. I like the backdrop for the Ig photos!

I have had better boba at a better price and kinda a thing I've been doing since I first fell in love with boba and honestly they wouldn't even rank in my top 5 and probably not 10 either. Service was good and the store seemed like it would be great as the ambience was dope as well to each so I'm not telling anyone else to not try it it may be your top

My fourth stop as part of my "30 before 30" challenge/adventure to go to cute (preferably animal) themed tea/cafe shops before I turn 30! I was not disappointed. The theme is top notch here. I love love love it. I will be back to try other drinks because I preferred my partner's drink (the stinger) over my usual peach tea. Which just shows I got to try more of their top 10 drinks. They are top 10 for a reason!

I'm used to small Taiwanese tea houses, so I always get a little skeptical when I visit chains. I rate by service and taste, so first the service. When I arrived, there was a counter opening and 3 workers talking just beyond it. I waited to be acknowledged but had to wait till the conversation finished. It was something about a show and a prenup if I remember correctly. All 3 had locked eyes with me for a second, each at different times, but it wasn't until the last one noticed the other 2 did nothing so he took responsibility. He asked if I had any questions, which I did, about modifying drinks, but they were unable to accommodate it, so I just ordered my default, as I always do if a request can't be done. I was then told "I can help you over here" and he led me to where the register was. The counter I was currently at, I THOUGHT was where the register was, but it was more near the inside of the store. It would help if there was hanging signs that read "order here" and "pick up here" for us first timers. When I got my drink, I got a plain green tea and a milk tea. My milk tea tasted like chocolate milk at first, and that only meant, it wasn't black tea, I think it was oolong as the base. Which was fine. If I go back, I hope they prioritize customers over conversation since that's how the store makes money. And maybe treat all customers like first timers, so we aren't confused about where what is.

This is our second time here, we wanted to give it another try. But I'm not sure why both times- the drinks have been mediocre. The drink I got today was extremely disgusting. Had a horrible taste as soon as you drink it. And a distinct after taste. We didn't notice until we were half way home and we live 10 mins away. Not worth coming back to tell them how much the drinks sucked. And we had to wait 15 mins for boba. When our drinks were ready they didn't inform us. We had to walk up the counter to ask and no one was there but us. Not coming back! Horrible customer service.
