We just left his office and we are very amazed with the experience. He was really knowledgeable and prepped with a warm massage bed. It was worth every single cent!!! My back pain was centered on the left side, have no idea how I got it, and he took care of the problem. He made recommendations and doesn't pressure you to return or take your money like other chiropractors. Will definitely return and recommend to my friends and family! I was the female client present who you claim was "singing all of the high praises of Donald Trump" with Bob. That is NOT what occurred. We were making sarcastic comments about Trump and Bob said he couldn't believe that anyone would vote for him twice. I kiddingly said to Bob, "So are you admitting to voting for him once?" He emphatically said, "No!" We were never singing any praises of that vile person. When I saw his client abruptly leave, I apologized to Bob. I thought he left because we were being too loud. After scouring Yelp for a good chiropractor, I reached out to Bob The Chiropractor (BTC) for an appointment. His receptionist is friendly and I like their appointment management and reminder system. Similarly, their questionaire is extensive and thorough. I also appreciate that BTC was able to fit me in when I arrived late (traffic on the way was nuts with Middle School graduations happening every 4 blocks on the way). Why 2 stars? BTC spent more times cracking jokes than addressing my problems. I love an inappropriate more than the average Joe, but BTC took it to a new, awkward extreme. The low-jab insults didn't help me like him or the visit any more. The kicker: When I was told that my alignment and muscular development problems were permanent and the best I could do was try to manage it. 3 visits to my physical therapist are proving BTC wrong. read more

I went to get a massage by Antoinette and BOYYYY when I say it's the best massage I've ever had, I'm not lying. I just recently moved out here and have been searching high & low for a new massage therapist and have been to many places not liking most. When I went to Wine Down Wednesday she gave a complimentary 10 minute massage and I felt better than the 90 minute massage I received the same day! So of course I had to get an actual 60 minute massage and the price is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! $50 for a 60 min!! I'll definitely be back! I hurt my back training to be a lifeguard and let days pass hoping the sharp pain would go away. It didn't. I knew I had to get help but being a recent college graduate and working part time I was worried about cost. I turned to yelp and found Dr. Bob. His prices were affordable and his 5 star streak is hard to find. Hopeful, I booked an appointment through his site. Which is supper easy. I got an email and text confirmation - good for reassurance that the appointment went through. Once the appointment day approached I got a text reminder and was excited to get help. I drove over and found a parking spot right in front. It is metered parking but I didn't mind. I walked in and it smelled relaxing, the kind of relaxing that reassured me that I made the right choice. I sat down and Maya helped me out. She is kind, down to earth and has a great smile. She gave me some paperwork, I filled it out and Dr. Bob came out to help me. Dr. Bob is a great people person he made me feel comfortable. This was my first time getting an adjustment and he was thorough in describing what happened to my back. Turns out I sprained it. He told me what I could do to maintain it. Good to know since I'm 23 and trying not to hurt myself again. I got some water and laid down on a warm mechanical massage bed. It felt so nice and as soon as I laid down my back cracked, HA! It was just waiting to release. Maya came in and checked on me, asked if i wanted a blanket - I did. I closed my eyes and before I knew it, it was time for me to get adjusted. 1, 2, 3, CRACK! CRACK! CRACK! The release in my neck and back felt a-maaaazig! I walked out of there and was so happy I came. Came in today for a consultation with Dr. Bob. I found him on Yelp and someone at my Jiu Jitsu gym had a sticker of his on the wall. I went on the website which was super easy to navigate. I booked my appointment and was sent text reminders. Parking is a bit hard but if you come early and park north of the office, there is free street parking. Office was super clean and spacious. Nancy the receptionist was super helpful and nice. They did have some products for sale such as protein and vitamins. I filled out some forms and had to wait a bit but was seen soon after Dr. Bob was finished. Remember he is only one guy. Don't let the cartoon logo fool you. He is totally awesome. Great sense of humor and knows his stuff. He gave me a lot of shit for wearing a dodger cap but totally in good fun. He poked me for a little bit and informed me. Dr. Bob recommended seeing a massage therapist instead of his own service. He didn't up sell me or said I needed something that I really didn't need. I have had recurring lower back and neck pain ever since I got out of the Marine Corps and I finally decided to meet with a professional and see if an alignment would help. I came here and met Bob. He was incredibly polite, informative and a pleasure to talk too. Most importantly, the alignment did wonders. I had an ache under one of the discs in my neck that's much better now and I'm feeling much less tension in my neck, shoulders and back. I have met with Antionette 3 times and this last time needed any available appointment the same day and met with Lupe for a 1 hour massage. Both women are knowledgeable in their craft. Let's just say that the 100% streak of 5 stars on Bob's Yelp reviews is a pretty accurate representation of him & his services! I went in for an extensive unilateral aching pain from my mid-lower back down to my lower calf that was exacerbated by driving and sitting/standing for long hours at work. I visited Bob anticipating that I would need spinal alignments for my mild scoliosis, massage therapy, & whatever other treatments to treat my aching body. Mind you, I was willing to pay a fortune for a better quality of life. After a quick but thorough evaluation & lots of questions, Bob diagnosed my pain as Piriformis Syndrome, which can easily be treated by sitting on a Lacrosse ball! Who woulda known! Bob stated that I wouldn't need any chiropractic treatment (bless his honesty) & that I can get massage therapy--but only if I wanted it. There was no pressure whatsoever, & I was laughing the entire time I was there. In the end, I stood at the front desk expecting to pay $45 for my initial visit, but Bob stated that I didn't owe anything (initial consultations are free) & to save my money and get a nice massage instead! I may not need any chiropractic services now but I'll def be returning in the future. All my friends and family will be hearing about him from me! Thanks Bob the Chiropractor! P.S. My review is for the massages. Front desk is very friendly they make you feel welcome! Parking enough around the block. Clean and super big environment. Warning! Get a massage with the massage therapists and you will get addicted! :) I've gotten a total of 4 deep messages with two different ladies and my favorite is Lupe. She cares about her customers and she takes time to listen to where you have pain. Very gentle- but gentle enough to get to all the stubborn knots you may have! Will book my monthly massages with her!!! I'm Planning on bringing my mom, my sister and my co-workers to her. The room is very relaxing. I've fallen asleep before whole getting a massage. If I could give Bob the Chiropractor negative stars, I would. I came into see Bob the Chirocracker on Saturday, October 30th following an over-enthusiastic bedroom accident with my fiance. I felt my back slide out (which happened once before and it felt the same, so I knew what I was dealing with), but my regular chiropractor was in a seminar all weekend. Being new to Long Beach, I checked out yelp, some doctor's websites, and my checking account before settling on this crack job. Total mistake. I walked into his office (not very well, but definitely under my own steam and without using a wall or doorway to support myself), filled out paperwork, and then stepped into his personal torture chamber. I cried, I screamed, I BEGGED HIM TO STOP, but he continued the adjustment to the bitter end. I wish I'd been able to get up and leave, but he drove the nail home in the coffin almost right away and I was stuck for the duration. Since it was Halloween weekend, he had a horror movie playing in the lobby and my fiance thought all of the extra screaming and sobbing was some additional soundtrack. When he found out it was me the whole time the poor guy went gray in the face and his mouth dropped to the floor. I couldn't walk out of his office. I had to hang onto my fiance, the walls, and door frame for dear life. A ten foot walk to the curb where our car was parked took 10 minutes. We immediately went to the ER where they gave me pain meds and muscle relaxers and told me to call my primary physician. I'm an unregistered student finishing my thesis in paleoanthropology, so I had no insurance...and no career in the field after my visit to Bob the Chiropractor. I traded office work with my regular chiropractor to get regular treatments. She agrees that "Dr." Bob pinched my sciatic nerve and probably caused a bulging disc. I traded organic produce with a massage therapist to get regular treatments. She also agrees that "Dr." Bob pinched my sciatic nerve. Months later I finally have health insurance and my primary care physician also agrees that from the sound of things "Dr." Bob pinched my sciatic nerve. As an added bonus I have degenerated vertebrae and the discs are compressed. Yay "Dr." Bob! Thanks for ruining my career in paleo-archaeology right as I was graduating after 8 years of university work. Thank you for the probable bulging disc(s) and the arthritis. You are the worst doctor in the world and I want everyone to know what you've done. Save the $40 people. He could end up costing you so much more by the end of one appointment. read more

I was looking on Yelp for a deep tissue massage for muscle pain I was having in my back and shoulders. I work at a desk all day and it felt like my muscles were gripping my nerves. I managed the pain, but it was constant and took away from my quality of life. Based on reviews and it's proximity to my work, I chose to make an appointment at Bob the Chiropractor. The masseuse was amazing! She spent the whole time working on the knots all over my back, neck and shoulders. I felt so relaxed I was disappointed when the massage was over. I wanted to lay there forever. The pain isn't completely gone but it's significantly less. I doubt years of improper posture and ignoring the problem is going to be solved in one or even two sessions, but I immediately scheduled another massage and hope to make it a routine in an effort to keep the pain away. read more

Nothing majorly wrong here, Bob is super friendly and nice (I believe the 5 star reviews are reflective of that) and if you get on their mailing list you'll find out more about what's going on in Long Beach than you ever knew before! Had my first massage ever here (don't remember her name, but it was wonderful!). As for the chiropractic care/adjustments, let me just say that prior to coming here (motivated by the low prices) I had been going to another chiropractor that I LOVED! But the other guy cost quite a bit more... and I moved downtown, so I switched. I never liked my adjustments here quite like I did with the other guy primarily because I would always be a little sore afterward and that never happened before. Also, I have a tendency to develop a functional leg length difference that the other guy always adjusts perfectly back in alignment and Bob never did, nor did he take notice that I had it at all. Granted I saw the other guy for ~10 years before coming here, but I still never understood why it wasn't addressed by Bob. So it's hard to write a seemingly negative review of a super nice guy, but there you have it, I'm back with the other chiropractor (just saw him today) and I'm never going anywhere else again. I've been coming to get adjusted and getting a massage here for about 2 years now. Dr. Bob is one cool dude. Very funny, easy to talk to and a great sense of humor. I love the way he treats the customer. If you're worried about the cost, it's not a big worry, it's very affordable. Probably one of the most accessible places I've ever known about for the service they provide. I've been getting my massages from Antoinette "The Queen of Pain" is what I call her. The massage hurts but you know what, it's totally worth it and you'll feel the benefits the next day. I've recently moved from Long Beach to Culver CIty and I still drive all the way down for their customer service and excellent work. I started going to Bob a little under a year ago, after I really hurt my back in a sports related injury. I could barely lay down without being in extreme pain, so I decided to visit Bob to see what he could do. After just two adjustments I was feeling great, and within the month I was almost back to normal. At $20 a pop, follow up appointments are a complete steal. He has never pushed for me to make follow up appointments if I feel I don't need them. For instance I hadn't seen him in about 2 months but my lower back had a slight pinch from running so much. I came in this morning and he adjusted me perfectly, and I left with a little bounce in my step. Did I mention he is HILARIOUS? Be All that you Can Be and you are Dr. Bob. This man is worth driving out of (my) way to go see for so many reasons... +1 Star - Parking. Easy and cheap. Yes, you have to feed the meter, but unlike my part of town, here the meters give you 1 hour for.... 50 cents! And there's always a spot just in front of the office. + 1 Star - Fruit chews. It's nice to be given a snack in the offices one has to (briefly) wait. But fruit chews! Thanks Dr Bob for giving me a new addiction! + 1 Star - The roller table. I guess it's S.O.P. most offices, but I had not had it before and I love it. Lay on this thing and it's like being part of the ocean, gentle stretchy waves up and down your spine. This alone is worth the price of admission. + 1 Big Star - Price of Admission. $40 for the first visit (he takes a long time to check you out through a detailed history), then only $20 a trip there after. What a pleasure to pay a reasonable price for such a great experience! + 1 Star - The adjustment. Dr. Bob did my back with me facing down, then my sideways facing spine, then the (dreaded) neck with me facing up. I have a hard time letting go (control freak much?!) but he managed to get into my C2 and even my C1!!! Awwwww the release and relief.... yum. And he showed me how to do some jaw relaxing stretches on my own at home.
