We brought our newborn here as a way to try to mitigate his silent reflux issues. Bottom line...overall, they weren't able to resolve it completely. But the duration in which my baby was there, Dr. Emma was very patient and kind when she was adjusting him. You could tell he was more comfortable. The five star rating is more a rating on the experience and honestly of the practice vs. the overall end result. Dr. Emma let us know when she was unable to help him anymore so I appreciated the honesty. The coordination for appointments was easy and quick and the front desk was efficient. I came to Dr. Broderick after trying physical therapy for pain in my knee and ankle, which was due to walking with a cast on for weeks. I have been visiting her clinic for over a year and have felt the difference after just a few sessions. Thankfully, after experiencing pain in my knee for years, now my knee pain is almost GONE, as well as my neck and upper back pain. The solution was a combination of chiropractic care and physical exercises that helped strengthen the muscles. Dr. Broderick is kind, knowledgeable, and willing to explain. She also recommends various solutions to aid in the process. The staff members are friendly and organized. Finding a suitable appointment was never a problem. I was seeing Dr. Emma for pre-natal care all the way up until I delivered. Dr. Emma was incredibly knowledgable in pre and post natal care and would email me all kinds of information afterwards. Her adjustments went above and beyond; she would also include craniosacral therapy and belly massages that relieved a lot of pressure. She even saw my 18M old son for a couple of adjustments. I did have a very successful, natural birth with no epidural with my second, and I really believe seeing Dr. Emma helped in the success of this delivery. Shame! I really-really like Dr. Broderick and was a long time patient. BUT, I called to make an appointment today for my daughter and was told they needed a credit card. Excuse me? It's unethical for a doctor to ask for a credit card. My "medical" doctors don't ask for one, yet appointments are missed all the time! If Doctors can't bill medical companies for "missed appointments", then they should not bill patients either. One reviewer said she was never reminded about her missed appointment before or after - just got the bill for it! The lady that took my call said since my daughter was new they would need a credit card. Well she doesn't have one...she's only 18, now what? They are denying service without a credit card now?Imagine a medical doctor doing that! And so much for them appreciating me even referring my daughter! What about my credibility? I have never missed an appointment. I've seen this unethical request from certain doctors (dermatologist and chiropractors) and I'm not going for it. I work in healthcare and know better. I have medical insurance so why do I need to give you my credit card? And in the event that I did become human and "miss a holy appointment", is that one miss worth all the medical insurance payments you have to potential to collect? Everything seems to be a short-term money grab these days. Now, they will miss 30 visits per year from myself, my husband, son & daughter worrying about securing payment for ONE appointment that hasn't even been missed! Dr. Emma is amazing. I started seeing her for prenatal chiropractic care and she not only adjusted me, but had so many resources for pregnancy and prenatal classes. I also had a couple of visits for my baby with her, where she was gentle and assessed for tongue tie. I continue to go to Dr. Emma who is so intune with the human body and is able to know what your body needs. I have been sick for several weeks now and going to the doctors hasn't been as helpful as going to Dr. Emma who always has natural remedies and stretches/exercises that can help. Best chiropractor in Long Beach. Great staff, fantastic chiropractor and very clean office. She asked for my credit card which is no big deal because I call to cancel like an adult so I don't get charged a fee for no show. Also to the people who complain about giving this office there credit card number, I'm sure it's ok to have a venmo, Amazon etc. they also have your card number. I found this office from a referral from a neighbor on Nextdoor app and saw all the good Yelp and Google reviews so I felt comfortable with my chances here. So glad I did! Don't trust many to adjust me, but getting to know Dr. Broderick and her in-depth knowledgeable and precision with her practice puts me at ease. She's been adjusting me and helping me with various joint pains for years. More recently I took my children to be adjusted: my 8 year old son had a major discrepancy in leg length which she identified and was able to correct with an adjustment. Since then, there has been no more accidental bed wettings, which was an issue before the adjustment. Her office setting is so inviting, upbeat, refreshing yet relaxing. BEWARE!!! If your planning on making an appointment, be prepared to share your Credit Card info. with a complete stranger, over the phone!! I called to make a CONSULT appointment and I was told that even though I was in the network and insurance would cover my service, they would need my credit card information. When I expressed my concern about sharing such information, I was curtly told "If you don't like it, then don't make an appointment with us!" when I called my health insurance, they confirmed that this information was not REQUIRED, but it is their policy. If I could give Dr. Emma more stars, I would. I was completely blown away with the time she took to get my full history and talk to me about my ailments. Not only was she knowledgeable, but she was sympathetic, kind and understanding. Dr. Emma explained everything in detail even though I've had previous prenatal chiropractic care before. I just wanted to thank my Chiropractor, Dr. Broderick for not only helping me not look like a hunchback, but also letting me vent and spill my guts about Andrew's condition. She was so compassionate and caring. I asked if she thought she could help him and not mind him screaming in pain and she said, "yes she can help him and if he did scream, it would be completely ok". She told me that she has made exceptions for certain cases whom were post op and just like an angel, she said she could come to my house so Andrew could feel more comfortable and adjust him here at home. She was so sweet and explained everything to him and was able to give Andrew a REALLY good adjustment. It did hurt at first since he is still currently in a lot of pain but, he soon got over it, listened to her and he was ready for his other side to be done. I've been seeing Dr. Broderick for a couple months now so I feel that my five star review of her and her office is justly represented. Every time I leave her office I feel so much better. It's amazing how unconquerable one can feel throughout the day when pain is gone. Thanks to her, I have better range of motion in my arm and wrist. I don't come in here often but when a tune up is required, she is my go-to person! Her bedside manner is excellent. I used to visit another chiropractor who saw me for maybe five minutes during my visit. He adjusted me and set me on my way. I guess you can say it worked for what I needed, but my perspective on chiropractic care has changed since meeting Dr. Broderick. Sure, she adjusts me, but she also utilizes different modalities such as heat therapy, electrical stimulation, and Kinesio tape all in between my session.
