Just an update. I've been through a lot health-wise over the past few years, and not only did Dr. Clements help straighten me out, but he also took the time to show me what I could do at home to further my care. I really appreciated that about him. So many people today seem to be in it for the money, and when a doctor tells you what you can do at home, knowing that it may mean you don't have to come in as often, that says a lot. It doesn't matter to him. He genuinely cares about his patients and wants what's best for them. It never feels like a money grab. Here's part of a letter I recently wrote to him: "Thank you, Dr. Clements! It's so refreshing to work with you because you really do care about us. After getting that roller and using it daily for 10, and now 15 minutes, I'm amazed. At first my back was cracking and popping. Now it's not, but it's getting stretched out better than I can ever remember, at least in recent memory. Most of the sensations I was feeling through my neck, throat, face, etc. have all subsided. Those were super scary too. OMG, my friend. I've had some days where it started coming back. I even had one wave where I went through every single symptom I had experienced, but it happened in about 20 minutes instead of 20 days. That was wild. So my body is still adjusting, but every time I stretch, I just feel that much better. Please remember what I went through and how much you've helped me. I know there will be others dealing with this same thing in the future who will welcome the relief. Just wanted to let you know and say thank you." I've been coming here for years, both for routine adjustments and for injuries, and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kim and Dr. Palzer. They're both incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and really know how to get to the root of what's causing your pain instead of just treating the symptoms. Dr. Kim was the first chiropractor I ever saw, and honestly, he made me a believer. I was dealing with bulging discs that caused constant, intense pain. The medical doctors and physical therapists I saw only recommended pain medication and exercises that actually made things worse. Dr. Kim told me, "Give me six visits," and sure enough, after six visits, I was pain-free. It honestly felt like a miracle. He's currently helping me recover from a rotator cuff injury, and every time I leave the office, I feel noticeably better. A few years ago, when Dr. Kim was out recovering from an illness, Dr. Palzer took over my care. I ended up staying with him for quite a while for my regular adjustments because he was just as caring, skilled, and thorough. This place gets a second star only due to their masseuses' great quality of massage. The place itself has the worst customer service you can imagine. My wife and I booked a massage on Valentine's Day. As we were driving to the massage, they called us letting us know that the masseuse got sick and was out that day... okay a little better heads up next time? We brush it off and reschedule for another time we are both off of work together, which is rare. Next time the same thing happens. Why are the masseuses calling out all of the time and why does the front office let us know less than an hour before the massage both times? Fool me twice... Anyway we call/email the manager and the manager says the office will reach out to reschedule. That day never comes. Third time I decided I will not be going to this place but my wife still wanted her massage that we already paid for. She waits until she delivers the baby, gives the front office notice that she is post-partum ahead of time. She drives down there and they then tell her sorry the masseuse cannot work on her since she is post-partum. At this point I call/email for a refund of payment to no response. I end up having to go through the bank to do a reverse charge to get my money back. Long Beach is full of better massage places for a similar price point such as Rivini, Joy's Foot Massage, Rejuvination Spa, and Belmont Shore Spa. Go to any of these instead. Clements will let you down as they did me multiple times. read more

This is my second time visiting this business. My first visit will not be the topic of this rating. After an unfortunate accident, I found myself in need of medical attention that I had not tired of. After all the preliminaries and obligatory tests, I met Dr Eric Kim at Clement's Chiro. New with chiro, I asked a LOT of questions. Mind you, this is a little personal and the reason for my visit is also personal, but, I can tell you, this chiropractor is a secret weapon. I'm sure anyone who has been treated by Dr. Kim will agree with me. If not, oh well, I respect your opinion, please respect mine. In 2021 I was in a rear end car accident that completely remapped my body from head to toe. Before that I was an energetic, outgoing and very active individual. I felt everything shift. The way I walked, tension running through every joint, cracking coming from every movement. Most days, I wasn't able to properly walk, sleep, focus on work, let alone enjoy activities I loved. I tried 6 other chiropractic offices before being recommended to Dr. Clement's by a family friend who shared about her great experience. After seeing so many "specialists", who really just managed my pain and discomfort versus getting me on track, I was pessimistic but I went anyways. From day one Dr. Clement's didn't sugar coat anything and let me know the severity of my condition and the effort it will take. From the very first adjustment when it felt like he pulled my soul out my body, I knew he was holding nothing back. After my dad had a stroke, I never imagined that someone not in our family would care for him the way we do. I was wrong. Dr. Soo, acupuncturist, has the gift of healing! She has been so gentle and kind that my dad now trusts her with his eyesight. It is improving and we are so immensely grateful for her! I have a favorite massage therapist but I am not going to share their name anymore because I can hardly get in to see them. I have been coming to Clement's for over a dozen years. I recently started to use their chiropractic services as well and have been extremely pleased with Dr. Palzer. He really takes time to listen to you and explain what treatments may help you. I had a 60 minute massage with Daniil ("Daniel") yesterday before my chiropractic adjustment. His was great! I arrived with a stiff neck (which makes it hard to get adjusted) and Daniil went to work--not just on my neck, but the connecting muscles in my back and shoulders. He used the perfect amount of pressure, and the stretching he did helped, too. I was like Gumby when I went down for my adjustment--totally relaxed. Had been in a car accident which totalled my car. I had a good case of whiplash. Unfortunately, the driver at fault only had liability. There was a small amount available for medical treatment. Thankfully, staff and Dr Palzer did not judge me. They actually cared. Was impressed Dr. Palzer was present and listened to my concerns. It was a manual adjustment. This can be scary, but doc made me at ease while he calmly walked me through each step. It helped me relax and deescalated my stress. The bonus is it helped me more forward to my recovery. He seems so experienced, quick to do the treatment, very clear in his explanations and instructions regarding my situation, and very easy to talk to in general. I'm glad I started coming here. Best in Long Beach! Clements Chiropractic has worked miracles for me! In 2017, I had a disk pressing on a nerve, and could not put weight on my left leg. With two chiropractic treatments over a period of two days, I was 90% better. Dr. Smith, who is no longer there in 2024, was excellent, and got me up to speed with three treatments. I knew if I ever had a problem, I would go to Clements Chiropractic again. Last week, after seven years, I was back with the problem, except on the opposite side in my right lower back. I needed help walking, dressing, get out of bed, etc. Dr. Kim really worked wonders with thoughtful chiropractic treatment, and by suggesting I implement some back stretches. I had chiropractic treatments for three days in a row, and the following day, I had improved by at least 50%. In less than a week, I was 100% improved. A difference between night and day; dependence on someone to help you walk, to complete independence again. I can't thank Dr. Kim, and his office staff, enough. The staff is excellent with the text reminders. You'll never miss an appointment, thanks to them. They will also do anything to accommodate you when you're in pain to fit in you in immediately. I'm grateful to the front office staff who do double duty of booking your appointments, setting you up with heat treatments, and then placing the TENS device on you after your treatment. After spending a year trying to resolve some low back and hip pain, (not good for a runner and someone who enjoys yoga) I came across my savior Dr. Corey Clements via Yelp and Anthem Blue Cross. I had seen other local chiropractors here in the LBC, and although I found "some" relief, it was short lived. My treatments were out of pocket expenses and very expensive between chiropractic and acupuncture. I knew that I needed more treatments and decided that it was time to utilize my Anthem Blue Cross plan, which, Clements Chiropractic accepts. Total SCORE! I know that the human body was not designed for desk jobs where you sit at a desk for 40+ hours per week, and my body is stiff and my low back is tight from decades as a member of Corporate America. From the moment I met Dr. Clements, I knew I was in the right place. He knows the body and exactly what to do. His confidence is addicting and his joy of healing comes through when he is with you. Dr Palzer has been has been my Chiropractor for almost a year plus and I can say that he has helped me so much with my back problems and fix them. Dr Clements is the best chiropractor hands down. I am a professional golfer, I've had several back injuries. So, I have worked with several doctors and chiros for my back. Dr. Clements is the only doctor who helped me with my injury and I'm grateful to have met him. Otherwise my back would still be a mess. I started working with him back in 2012. Let me start off with saying Dr.Palzer is great. This does not reflect on him by any means. That being said, I've been coming to this place, regularly, for years now. I made my appointment, showed up, just to be told that the office made a mistake almost 2 years ago and charged me just my deductible and that insurance didn't cover it, so I was responsible for it. ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO. I've been coming regularly since then, it just now got brought up? Clerical error that the front staff made, but I'm held responsible for their incompetence? But what I want to write about today is their massage therapist, Kimberly. A while ago, I bought a massage pack because I was so excited about the pricing (and accessibility to my house) but found myself to be disappointed in the massage quality and found myself not wanting to use the remaining massages on my pack. However, I recently overheard that they got a new massage therapist and I decided to give her a try. She is was wonderful and exactly what I've been looking for. My mother in law gifted me a massage package to go see Kim because she said she was a true healer and boy was she right. Kim is very in tune with the body and immediately knew that I had gone through a very stressful week. Another time I went in she was even able to tell that I was on my menstrual cycle. I've been seeing Dr. Amanda on and off for the past 2 years or so. Before coming to this office, I had only seen a chiropractor once. Even though I knew him personally, the thought of getting my neck adjusted freaked me out. I don't think I was ready for it, and he felt me tense up beforehand and didn't go through with it. With Dr. Amanda, somehow I was able to relax enough to get it done and it's been a game changer ever since! I constantly crack my lower back everyday, so having her crack my upper back and neck has provided me so much relief. Then depending on my reason for that particular visit, she either sends me to the roller table or for electronic muscle stimulation (EMS) after the adjustment. I leave the office feeling so much better. I will say that when I make an appointment, the front staff tells me all this availability. It's even happened where I change the time of an appointment the same day and there's all these openings. However, when I come in it always seems to be overbooked and running behind. Minor inconvenience though. All the staff has been very friendly and helpful. I will continue to come here and am excited/looking forward to my first massage here later this week. Also, I've seen Kimberly O'Berry once for acupuncture (my first experience ever) and have been meaning to go back.
