They showed zero empathy for my situation--it's clear they care more about collecting a fee than they do about their patients. I was waiting to write this review but my recent experience over the phone just pushed it over the edge. The front desk staff makes me feel like I am bothering them. Even checking in- come on it's part of your job!! Looking at previous reviews it seems like it has been an ongoing issue. I was overcharged on my first 2 appointments and ended up with a large credit. I was notified the therapist I was working with was leaving and the only other therapist that has experience with my issue does not have availability for a few weeks. So I wanted my credit back as a check- it showed on my insurance application that the claim was processed so I called in. I spoke to Jaden and she said that it was not sent back to them yet so they would call me back when it did. I confirmed with them that they would call me back and she said she wouldn't just leave me hanging.. Then I said thank you, bye and she proceeded to just hang up without any bye or anything. I don't know why every front desk employee seems like they are miserable working there- not sure if it is management or just all of their bad attitudes every time. Won't be returning. Please retrain the front desk!! Makes me feel uncomfortable interacting with them.

I was running a lot for Marathon training and also playing soccer twice a week. The pain wouldn't go away and interfered with my active lifestyle. I had never received PT but thankfully i found Dr. Ngo to help me with my pain that wouldn't go away after weeks. He was able to help diagnose the root cause of my pain and gave a great explanation of the linkage between the mind and body. He went above and beyond to even analyze my running technique and helped me improve it. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the sports medicine field. I felt like he treated me like a friend for each of our sessions. He has many different tools in his office that can be tailored for many different sports and information about the body. I thought it was great because he created a plan to get me back to running and stressed the importance of stretching exercises. I really appreciate the holistic healing approach even more. He also used his hands to sense inflammation and areas that were not normal. This is my gold standard for any type of PT. I was so glad he did because it made recuperating at home easier and experienced no problems. His staff were great to in coordinating everything for the surgery. After care is great too as he explains everything to me. Even giving me physical therapy to help me get my strength back. I did choose Southland Physical Therapy in Long Beach because my therapist, Sami had received great feedback for Dr Yuan from his other clients who had surgery with Dr Yuan.
