I had never been to a Chiropractor before, as I get weirded out by cracking bones. But I had been experiencing sudden back spasms and pain so intense, I decided to give this clinic a try (mostly because I had a Groupon coupon and it was conveniently located). My fears were allayed after a brief consultation and Dr. Butts started doing his thing (cracking my neck, back, sides - none of which hurt, by the way), and after my adjustment, I was actually experiencing a bit of relief. I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes, and there was free covered parking. My pain hasn't gone away; he explained that I would need a series of sessions along with some core home exercises and in time that most likely would resolve the issue. I have been experiencing chronic lower back pain for over a year and decided to find a Chiropractor. I took to Groupon to assist with my search. I came across Dunn Family Chiropractic. I then cross referenced the company on Yelp and was pleased with the reviews from previous clients. I purchased a Groupon for 3 adjustments and called to book an appointment. I spoke with a guy ok the phone who was super pleasant and gave me the option of booking an appointment on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday. I set up my appointment time and notified him of my Groupon. On the day of my appointment, I arrived about 15-20 mins early as I did not know what type of paperwork I would be filling out and the amount of time needed to do so. I was greeted upon entering the building and provided with a clipboard. There was a lady ahead of me but the wait did not feel long. Turns out the person at the receptionist desk was the chiropractor. He asked me about the issues I have been experiencing and then he got to work with the adjustment. My bones were just cracking away and I was happy to feel some relief. He provided me some self care instructions and before you knew it I was booking my follow up appointment. I read a lot of reviews before going to Dr. Butts. All the reviews are true. I made three visits to my current chiropractor over last three weeks for sciatica and leg pain, with little to no relief. I was contemplating going to my medical doctor just to get rid of the pain. One visit to Dr. Butts was a game changer. Between acupuncture and great chiropractic therapy I am feeling much better. The severe pain is gone. I will definitely need another treatment, but Dr. Butts said this might be the case. I recommend Dr. Butts to anyone who has any back pain. read more

He's actually pretty good. But you can tell the difference between treatment when you pay out of pocket vs insurance coverage. My treatments here are about 20 minutes vs when I pay out of pocket at my local Manhattan Beach clinic where treatments are more therapeutic and 40 minute session. read more

I should have wrote this review way back in the days of like 2009, I pretty much messed up my L4/L5 discs and had severe sciatica going down my back down to my toes. I felt like dying... Life wasn't worth it anymore at that point and I couldn't sleep... and was always on pain meds. I pretty much diagnosed myself because the "Standard Medical Practices" were Medicine or Surgery and that doesn't solve the root cause. Fast forward to Dunn Family Chiro, I was researching extensively until I found the best price and friendly environment of Doctor Hal Wexler, I got treated with the DRX-9000 and let me tell you it did me wonders! My first Chiropractic visit and I'm hooked! Wife noticed that I was always moving my head around trying to comfort sore neck. Have had this as long as I could remember. Had an Xray years back and they said my neck vertebrae were unusually worn for my age. Initial visit with Dr Wexler was detailed consultation and xrays. Follow up was a couple days later to review xray and I was a wreck up from the neck up! He did some adjusting and cracked my neck which I was NEVER able to do. This was heavenly! I am on a regular schedule to get my neck back in correct shape. The staff was very friendly and the Dr made me feel very comfortable especially not knowing what to expect. I can NOT believe how I was just treated. I made calls to EVERY Chiropractor open in Long Beach on a Saturday. In so much pain. Desperate. Never been to a chiropractor. But. I'll do anything to make the pain go away. I called and asked the reception if there was appointments today. She replied 930.... it's 900am. I am thinking I hit the Chiro lotto... Thank You so much.. Then when I explain I'm a new patient. That 930 appointment isn't available. Instead she wants me to book Monday. Ok. Well. Why? " There is a lot of paperwork that you have to complete". So. I ask for permission to come now. And take my extra 30 minutes to fill out paperwork. "There is an awful lot of paperwork it takes about an hour. And you just won't have enough time. I can book you Monday" Well. SO CAN EVERY OTHER CHIRO.... I just needed a good helpful person.... and help. I KNOW my backs out of alignment I can feel it. Can't wait till Monday. I really wanted to love this place. It is a block away from my home, Gloria was very welcoming and friendly, and Dr Wexler seemed very nice...... I walked in with little pain wanting to correct it and now a week later the pain is intensified times ten. Slight pain in the left side of my neck turned into my entire body in pain to the point I cant move. My head is pounding, vomit, you name it. Besides all that, my insurance pays for my chiropractic and I have never been to a office that doesn't accept my insurance.... well this office doesn't stating the doctor is not in the "plan". No way will I pay cash to walk out feeling way worse then I walk in. read more

What a wonderful Chiropractor! I have been a patient at Dunn Family Chiropractic for a little over a year now. On my first visit with Dr Wexler, I was in so much pain. My left knee and left ankle were sore, swollen and I could barely walk. TALK ABOUT PAIN! I was doubtful that Dr Wexler could even help me. Trying to keep to an open mind and to avoid surgery I became very interested in this form of natural healing because it did'nt require drugs and medications. I have been going to Dunn Family Chiropractic for years. I started going because of a knee problem, and now my knee is pain free. I also developed a horrible pain in my back which was diagnosed as one herniated and one degenerative disc. Last summer I went through a treatment of spinal decompression and came out of it pain free as well.
