We were ordering 2 split units to be installed with compressor by Bob Stapleton in Spring, March 2022. Work was performed and done in a day. Inspector came and the units did not pass inspection May 2022. We then contacted company and never heard back from them so we thought the permit was closed and inspector just did not have to come back to inspect. We are new to these subjects and also self employeed so we just forgot about this and thougth it was all handled correctly.
After the hurrian Milton last year both units were down and also compressor. We contacted Stapleton and were postboned from one week to another by stating they only have one worker that is able to work on this unit and he was in hospital. After 6 weeks of we are giving the same statement we were basically noticing that our floors were soft and spotty. We then decided to contact another company Prime Airconditioning, Jane Snyder, was our contact person.
She then informed us that our units were not under warranty and also that an open permits exits, in other workds the permit was never closed by Stapleton and we were never informed We also did not know that our AC System was not under warranty due to the neglect of Bob Stapleton. Company Prime addressed the problem and it took a few weeks due to all main boards are not available in the state of florida but at the end Prime was able to fix the issue, unfortunately our floors in living room and kitchen needed to be replaced. Humintity ruined the wood.
We then wrote Stapleton company an email and threatened with the board of licensing. We were assured that Rick never knew about our Problems basically his office staff never informed
He then offered to come over and discuss the issues and agreed to handle the bill of Prime Company and also open permit pay the fee to city largo and fix the issue. He asked to give him some time .. he was very busy ththat was before christmans of last year. We agreed to give time until after christmas and new year .. 2 weeks ago I contacted again and was enquiring about the work that needed to be done. I received email that mail was passed on to Rick and that was the last we heard .. no work was attempted to be done . Basically same situation again.
