    BOB'S CHEESE PIZZA
    Nena C.

I've tried a ton of pizza places in Chicago and the suburbs and this place is the best. I don't know what they do to season their pizza, but their cheese has more flavor than any cheese I've ever had. There is a zing to it... a zesty-ness I can't get enough of. I am truly obsessed. I placed this order for the UChicago Fossil Lab today (usually we get Giordano's but it was closed for some reason, so someone in the group recommended Bob's), and we are planning to order from Bob's for now on! I ordered over the phone, and the guy who took my order (I think his name is Zach) was super sweet and gave great advice on the number of pizzas and how it's sliced etc. I picked the pizza up, and met the person who took my order, and he had excellent customer service. I don't know what your name is sir, but that you for being so kind. Inside there are tables and booths and a bar. Outside, the road to drive up to the restaurant was blocked, so I parked down the street. I'm not sure if there is dedicated parking, but I will find out next time. And, although my order wasn't at the right time for it, they have happy hour M-F from 16:00-17:00 where you order one pizza get the second free. You can't beat that! If you haven't been here, make sure you give it a try!

I tried to contact a corporate or main office for Bob's with no luck. There is no such thing on the website. So instead I share the following with possible customers of the Bob's in Hyde Park: Hello, I would like someone to contact me about my experience this afternoon in the Hyde Park store with the manager, Tyrisa T. Please see photo below of my lukewarm mushroom pizza, taken out, with few actual mushrooms. The service over the phone was questionable, as was the service in the store when I pointed out that if this were a pepperoni pizza that no one would actually take it (she offered not to make the pizza again but to refund my money because she stated that she'd had nothing but problems from me since taking my order???) I've had and enjoyed this pizza in the past. It definitely had more mushrooms on it. This was definitely my last visit/purchase at Bob's. Not worth the effort or money. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Got a slice of the wild mushroom pizza and the fish and chips. The fish and chips were too much for one person, but the sauces, fish, and chips were great! I got the house hot sauce. The hostess/server was really nice and attentive! Highly recommend

Let me start by saying that the service there is cold probably because the server is cold because the restaurant is literally cold. There is no heat. The atmosphere looks good, but feels eerie. The staff has literally zero personality zero knowledge of what's going on and does zero work and they have the nerve to have the restaurant set up where you give a tip first then you realize that you have to get your own water your own silverware it's like you almost have to get up and serve yourself your own food. Then speaking of the food not very good to my liking pizza sauce is very watered down. They claimed to serve only one size pizza, but we dined in during the buy one get one free. I ordered one mushroom pizza and one pepperoni pizza, and my pepperoni pizza was so much larger than my mushroom pizza. I'm like if this is 16 inches then this has to be like 14 so why are you charging me the same price and when you say something to them about this it's like it's nothing oh well. How on earth do you offer one size pizza and you can't even get the size right?

Great location. Great food. Great drinks. Great service! I finally had the chance to dine at Bobs pizza and it was excellent. So far, I've tried the pepperoni pizza and the mushroom pizza and both were delicious. I tried the lavender fizz since I enjoy vodka, it sounded like a great choice. It's made with lavender syrup, lemon juice, soda water and fresh basil. It's so pretty and refreshing! The restaurant is decorated so nicely and the staff ja very friendly. You can get a slice of pizza from 11am to 4 pm daily. They offer happy hour Monday through Thursday from 4-5 pm where if you buy one pizza you get one free. What an awesome deal!!! Check out Bobs pizza in Hyde Park for some amazing food and drinks!

My friend and I decided to give Bobs pizza a try. I will say the owner was super friendly! I will say the service was slow but, that was due to the event that happened during the day and he was short staffed. I will say the cheese curds were one of the best I have had! And the wild mushroom pizza was legit one of the best I have had!

I stopped by on a food tour around 2 PM and it was pretty empty and quiet at first. I tried the wild mushroom pizza. I gotta admit, I usually don't like mushrooms but this pizza was delicious. The balsamic added a sweet twist to a savory bite. Mark, the owner, was also super sweet! We chatted with him a bit about the ingredients he used and he was happy to answer any questions we had.

Met "bob" himself. Jk his name is Matt, the founder of Bob's pizza. This is his rth spot that just opened in February 2023 Bob's is famous for his pizza dough that has beer in it, with an amazing malt taste. He started the restaurant 5 years ago and Invented this "Pilsen style" pizza. Absolutely delish His favorite cocktails on the menu : fresh Orange Tang with rum, mulled wine , and old fashioned Had the best time making Bob's famous pickled pizza with (non-profit org) @culinarycare provides restaurant cooked meals to cancer patients & their families. It's always a tough time, and being able to have nutritious and delicious meals can really make or break your experience ‍This event is a corporate sponsored "cook-off" where employees can form groups of 4-5 to compete on the same dish with each other Super fun & educational & all for a great cause. Matt wanted to make something different out of stubbornness He tried pickled pizza once and thought it would work well with Chicago! Made with cold fermented dough of 630g shaped to 16inches Add: - olive oil (with the mini broom ) - garlic cream - ham - 3 types of cheese - thinly sliced pickles - fresh dill - salt, pepper, & fresh herbs for finish Make sure to get their wings, calamari, & pepperoni pizza too! Ahh! This used to be Native Foods, remember that? This is the fourth location. I have only been to the Evanston location. This location is a full-size restaurant. The Pilsen location is only dine-in, carryout, delivery and BYOB. The Old Town location is only carryout and delivery. The staff and service is fantastic. PS. Soft opening 'til further notice & liquor license TBA any day.

They push the Mediterranean Bread, and honestly, you should let them. It's enormous, blistered, fragrant, and arrives like a hot air balloon made of carbs. More importantly, it gives you something genuinely delicious to tear into while you wait for the pizza pot pies to emerge from whatever subterranean chamber they're baked in. It's both a starter and a survival tool. A reservation is non‑negotiable unless you enjoy contemplating your own mortality in a weekend crowd. The wait times can stretch so long you could starve to death before your name is called -- and the regulars will nod knowingly as they step around your skeleton. Plan ahead. The salads are comically oversized, the kind of portions that make you wonder if they're meant for a family of four or a single very determined marathon runner. But let's be honest: no one is here for lettuce. We're all here for the pizza pot pie, that molten, bread‑wrapped, cheese‑laden dome of joy that defies every attempt at categorization. It's not deep dish, it's not thin crust -- it's its own thing entirely, and that's the point. This is the place you bring out‑of‑town guests when you want to show them something uniquely Chicago without defaulting to the usual deep‑dish suspects. But it's also the place you come back to on your own, because once you've had that pizza pot pie, it lives rent‑free in your brain until you return.

I got there and there was about 15 people in front of me in line. The hostess was really nice and because I was there by myself, she called up to the bar to see if there was any seats at the bar so I didn't have to wait. I found out that Chicago style pizza takes about 45 minutes to cook, but I was willing to wait. After about an hour I asked where the pizza was, and they said "we lost it". Although I was disappointed that I had waited so long , they were accommodating and apologetic, and took ownership, which I really respected and appreciated. They said they could get me another pizza quicker than 45 minutes, so in total I waited about an hour and a half. They asked me if there's any appetizers I wanted for free or drinks and because I didn't wanna fill up before my pizza and I had already had a salad , I declined. The pizza came out and it was absolutely delicious. Was it worth the wait? Because I didn't have anything else that evening for a while that I needed to do, it was worth it. If I had been in a rush, it would've been a different story. The hostess, the bartender/waiter and the manager were all very nice and attentive. I had a great time at the bar socializing with people from different parts of the country. I would definitely recommend Giordano's.
