Adventure Motor Homes in Greer, SC, is the best RV dealership we have ever dealt with, in the 37 years my husband and I have been camping. We have been looking for a unit that would last decades to come for full time camping/living. We have been researching different makes and models of 5th wheels for a few years.
Each unit we wanted to check out was at Camping World. We refuse to go back to Camping World. We have been treated like dirt and lied to way too many times. I even cringe when we need some camping supplies and have to walk into their store to buy it. Even the store staff are rude. UGH, what were we to do.
I told my husband, I do not care how far we have to drive, find a dealer that treats us like people, not profit.
We came across Adventure MotorHomes in Greer, South Carolina that had a unit we have been watching and comparing to other brands. My husband started texting with Kathy Flowers, saleswoman at the dealership, about this unit. We were so impressed we felt the 4 hour drive would be worth it. We wanted to see the craftsmanship and how a garage had a full master bedroom suite over it. Going into this trip we thought we had to wait another year before we could afford the unit we wanted.
With our history of bad experiences from other RV dealerships I was hesitant. We were greeted like family. Each person we talked to focused on us, what we were saying and actually listened. We never felt like we were keeping them from something more important. That means a lot to us. Too many times we encounter salesmen or other employees etc. that carry on personal conversations with others while we are trying to get our needs/questions met. So Rude!
The moment Kathy Flowers introduced herself and said she was so glad to put a face to the text/voice, I knew we were in good hands. She is extremely knowledgeable and if we had a question she did not know, she called the factory representative on her cell phone while we were standing there in the unit and got the answers.
We fell in love with the RiverStone 39FKTH. I saw the price and thought "yep, it will be another year before we can afford this unit. But it will be worth it." I told Kathy my 10 yr plan of getting our future home (the 5th wheel) and having it paid off before I retire. Kathy said "Marsha, the price you see is not the price we are going to offer. Let's put some figures together and see where you are today and if it is not going to work, at least you will know what to work towards for next year."
We put together a deal, and what a deal, the figures were lower than I ever dreamed and the numbers fit in with our current budget. I never dreamed we could get our unit now. We took the deal to the finance manager. She was so understanding. She listened to my 10 year plan and found a financial institute that fit right in at a lower interest rate than I was expecting.
Adventure Motor Homes has several full hook-up sites for new owners to stay for the night. We were encouraged to stay in our new unit overnight so we can go through the unit and write down any areas that need to be fixed or touched up. The service is impeccable. We only found 4 things to fix. They addressed it as soon as we told them and had all 4 things fixed in 2 hours! (Every other dealership we tried to work with told us we would have to make an appointment and bring the unit back.) Each person we encounter was polite and willing to drop what they were doing to address our questions.
I love this dealership and will drive from wherever we are, back to them if and when we trade our current unit in on a new unit. They are a large, family owned dealership and treated us like family. I can't say enough good things about them. They are worth the drive!
