Where do I begin so I bought a 40' Mandalay in July of 2018 we were told it was a Cummins diesel pusher and it was upwards of 80k dollars. So we drive down trading our perfectly good coach in on a the above mentioned not towing a vehicle because this was suppose to be a drive down trade, do contract on balance and drive back. We arrive at dealership coach is not ready, actually looked like they had just drove it out of their field. Had issues we needed corrected before leaving. We finally get on the road late that afternoon and get aprox. 7-8 miles from dealership when all sorts of alarms and alerts start going off telling us to stop immediately. We pull over on side of a busy interstate and call dealership they send there electrical guy granted he was nice as he could be but not the guy needed for the job, what happens after that just gets worse we are towed to a lot and sit there approximately 36 hours no food, no vehicle, no water no nothing, But the same clothes we had on leaving home 36 hours prior. We were told the warranty was bumper to bumper we paid for and that was furthest thing from the truth.. we also find out in that lot that the motor is not even a Cummins it's a Mercedes diesel. Two guys from that mechanics lot work on it through the night to no relief or resolve. The dealer has not called us, the owner is avoiding us...we finally catch a ride back to dealer and coach is towed back there with a very large bill owed to the lot we spent the night on, with them trying to collect money from us and dealer saying they would pay it on Monday. We finally after going back and forth with employees they agree to rent us a car to get us home to our children who had not seen us in almost two days and No coach. Karolina Koaches delivers our coach to us 3 weeks later saying it was fixed upon looking the cover to the fridge had blown off somewhere along that trip. Tires are at least 10-11 years old and one thing after another, fridge not cooling, lights out on tail end, etc etc. we take to another shop replace tires, work on fridge several other issues leaky doors etc NOTHING covered on so called bumper to bumper warranty first bill of almost 5k granted tires I can understand. Finally get one trip on it and discover more issues dash keeps alarming jacks keep alarming and more and more problems. Keep in mind this is an 80k used coach with only 11k miles and should be as so. So fast forward to now taking second trip on coach get in it dash will not stop beeping so before trip let's go to shop with it.... another bill upwards of 1600.00 and NOTHING covered all out of pocket, the warranty sold to us is far from bumper to bumper. I was sold a lemon that was apparently purchased by owner Scott Brooks and never gone over or fixed just sold to a sucker that would buy which was me. Have I received a call from owner as of today apologizing for all the above no nothing silence. Let's not mention when we bought it and had all the trouble and finally got back to dealer 36 hours later he(Scott) sneaks out side door while I am crying on their front entrance and drives off leaving us offering nothing to us but a dang ride home. My thoughts are now let's get an attorney and show the attorney all info including sell sheet showing it was a Cummins only to find out it was a Mercedes or endless emails from sales guy saying it was immaculate. Or the email saying warranty was a bumper to bumper for an additional 5k. This coach was supposedly immaculate and no issues, low miles Cummins diesel. We are a working blue collar class family that enjoy camping with our children and work very hard for every dime we make and now second trip on our big expense and still sitting in a shop due to leave Monday the 15th with a bill still climbing. What would an attorney say or a judge, considering South Carolina has laws against selling lemons to customers and falsely advertising a vehicle. So To anyone buying a vehicle from Karolina Koaches please be aware have the coach checked by an outside source before you agree to buy, matter of fact buy elsewhere and don't waste your money on the warranty as it only covers specified parts, not bumper to bumper. And the owner he is far from professional and watch that side door as that day he drove off and never looked back stays behind a closed door and sends messages through his employees I have tried to be the bigger person and not cause a stink but at this point looking for an explanation from him directly and some refund to expenses caused by their constant lies and shady business. Buyer Beware and please don't destroy your families happiness from dealing with a less than honest dealership or the owner Scott as it looks like our second trip will be again ruined by the lemon sold to us will update this if anything changes but it's been a year so doubt that will happen. Read reviews folks as I would not wish this on anyone EVER or recommend this dealership to anyone. Sincerely S. Puckett from Va read more
