After a couple stays in Waynesburg, hearing about this place seemed like an automatic choice. While I love sheets, the kiln and kids candy I was told I can't have that forever and to give this place a try. When I went there I did it like how they kinda had a Cracker Barrel esque look to it. Everyone was super friendly and the food came out really fast. I did also like their expansive menu choices including their breakfast, which was immense. Portions upon offerings matched the expansiveness of the menu as well as lived up to a lot of taste for an American palette. While a lot of places in Waynesburg remain semi-unseasoned I like how this place takes pride in what they make. It has remained in my rotation ever since and now whenever I go to pet Pittsburgh or the surrounding area, I always try to make a trip to come back to my stomping grounds and try this place every time. We were looking for a place to eat after a long drive. We checked out a couple other places but they appeared "seedy." We saw Bob Evans and decided to give it a try and glad we did. Our server was super friendly and took great care of us. I asked if the tea was very sweet, she wasn't sure, so brought me a glass to sample. It wasn't sweet, so decided on strawberry lemonade; which was cery good. I ordered the Fresh Start Omelet: Three-egg omelet filled with chicken sausage, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, caramelized onions, feta cheese, provolone cheese and arugula. Served with your choice of hash browns. The omelet was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The hash browns were also tasty. Prices are very reasonable. I was back home last week and unfortunately had the displeasure of coming here. There are not many options to eat in town so unfortunately this was where we stopped. The stars are for the service. We had a nice waiter, abit chatty, but I would rather him be that way than the other. He was prompt and attentive. Constantly filling up our glasses. We had a larger party so I know how those can be needy. Now the food. Normally I like Bob Evans but this was terrible. I had breakfast. Breakfast is the easiest thing to make. I hate to cook but can make a mean breakfast. The toast was so hard and not flavored, no amount of jelly could save it. The scrambler I ordered was horrible, and that's being nice. The gravy used to top it was cold and pure salt. The potatoes were not cooked. I don't enjoy hard potatoes, do you? And the eggs were dry. Ketchup couldn't save this dish either. There was no need to complain because I didn't want a substitute. I wanted out of there and a meal elsewhere. I will never go back to that location because everyone else at my table experienced the same type of issues with their food. Nothing seemed to be cooked properly. I brought my autistic son here for lunch after church on Sunday. During our meal he had a behavior and the waitress approached us and said "get that fucking retard out of here" I felt so heartbroken taking my son, my pride and joy out of the restaurant and then leaving him in the car while I ate my meal. The food was delicious. The only problem is with the bathrooms! Don't get me wrong it is a restaurant but the flush sound. It is SO loud it hurts my ears! So I recommend going here but not to the bathroom. Also, there was wet wadded paper towels stuck to the ceiling. read more

The Honey Chicken. dinner looked really good on the menu but we couldn't eat it. One of the cooks put our dinner up on the counter and without a face mask to block his spit, leaned over our dinners to laugh and chat with the waitresses. When our waitress delivered our dinners we had to reject them and we told her why... We requested to speak with a manager but were denied the opportunity. It's bad enough that our lame Governor and PA Legislature has done little to protest us, but for a business, that is feeling the hurts with this pandemic, to treat customers in such a fashion in inexcusable. read more

I ordered the everything breakfast minus the meat. I had someone else pick it up for me so I couldn't check all that it had. When it was delivered to me it had only some (pretty gross) looking cold undercooked hash browns, an egg and cheese with a biscuit. I'm not sure what happened to the green onions, tomatoes, and hollandaise sauce but I wish I hadn't spent the money on something that I could've thrown together at home for free. Awesome place to stop for breakfast. The waitress we had was extremely friendly and helpful for our group. She sat us accordingly because there were so many of us. I wanted the Crepes but all they were advertising for on the menu was blueberry. I asked if by any chance she could request them to be apple. She said absolutely and that is what I got. We ate at Bob Evans in Waynesburg, PA on 07/30/21. You need to have more girls working on Friday evenings. They were short staffed. Food was on warming table waiting for the waitresses to take it to the tables. You need to have someone take food to tables and someone to clean tables. The hostess should be doing the cleaning of the tables because she was just walking around doing nothing when she could of been helping the waitresses that are trying to take orders and serve the customers. I could see a lot of things that need to be done on this night. We went to Bob Evans the night before and walked out because they were so behind and didn't have enough waitresses again to wait on customers. Also you need to be open longer hours to serve the people. This is the only sit down restaurant in Waynesburg. You might get more employees if you would provide them at least a free meal while they work. We were told they have to pay for there meals but they do get a little discount. It is pretty sad when a customer can see what needs done but the management does nothing to help this location. The food was good and are waitress was fine. But you need to pay your waitresses more so people will work. Also you need a dedicated cashier to check out the customers. A waitress had to take her time and come and cash us out. That is taking valuable time away from her trying to do her job and serve food. I told her this is nuts that you have to be cashier also. Food was good, as usual, but service was seriously awful! Visited around 2:00 on a Monday afternoon, so the lunch crowd was gone. We waited to be seated for more than 10 minutes (nobody even came to the front to see us). I thought it would be better once we were seated, because the waitress was very nice, but once she dropped off our food, she left the check and didn't come back. Just visited your Waynesburg restaurant. Horrible service!! Wasn't even busy, but food wasn't hot, didn't get our coffee until our breakfast arrived, asked for a booth but hostess was too worried about the servers sections, so we just said a table would be fine. . . A group of 8 from Ontario were leaving right before us and complaining to the point that they comped their whole check!! I think they need some serious customer service retraining in this location. Worst service EVER. When a member of our party went to the manager after we waited an hour for our food, his response was, "The unemployment rate is 4% in Green County. Can't get good help." REALLY? How about "I'm sorry." Forget management training--everyone's mother teaches them that basic response! He then proceeded to turn his back and walk away. This was 7:45 at night. We finally got food at 8:45. Didn't dare send the luke warm food back as we were starving. Don't waste your time--because lots of it will be spent in this place. read more

I love when we are somewhere with a Bob Evans I almost always have to stop. The hostess was an older lady with glasses. For some reason, she seemed as if she wasn't in a good mood but pulled through to give us a half smile when seating us. Something went wrong with out food and the Manager Tom came to explain that he was very sorry for what was taking our food so long then a waitress with glasses(not ours though) walked up to us at the table and Tom and explained that somehow the cooks did not receive our order. Tom then stated "No, that just doesn't happen, its the servers fault." The poor waitress then walked away and Tom then stated "it's funny the servers think we are stupid." The waitress heard him and turned around, but just kept walking to I assume find our waitress. I felt Tom was very disrespectful to not only the company but to the employees. I also felt offended he would say something like that in front of customers. Our waitress was grew the food was great when we got it, but I am in awe over the way the manager had acted. When I walked in, the Host was very friendly with a bright smile. We had a problem with seating before we sat down and asked to see a manager. We were a large party and wanted to make sure we weren't spilt. The MANAGER was so rude, and wavied his finger in my face in front of 13 of my guest. My father stood up said we weren't eating there, and we walked out. The manager said he "wasn't worried about us." I go out to eat to see smiling faces and be around happy people, otherwise I would order take out or make it at home. If you aren't worried about the people that eat there, you'll end up without a business. I will NEVER EVER go back there even if it's free. Neither will the 13 people that were with me. Every time we have eaten at B.E., we swear that we'd never do it again. We've never gotten descent food at any of the B.E.'s. So, yest. 1/09/14 my Bro.-in-law Dave & I was hungry for fish. Surely they'd have fish and how could they mess up fish. Well, they found a way, it no way looked like the pic. in the menu,and was way over priced along w/ everything else on the menu. It was awful and I'm glad I didn't order it. Instead I ordered one of the cheapest things on the menu was a chicken pot pie, again thinking how could they mess that up? I couldn't eat all of it, only about half and in disgust told Dave lets get outa here. I was sick all night and couldn't eat breakfast this a.m. If your going to raise prices to that of a fancier big time restaurant, then you should amp up the food to match it. Be assured we will never eat at another B.E. and will be sharing our lousy experience whenever and where ever we can.
