Was greeted by the manager immediately, sat at the bar because the dining room is too dark. Bar tender, Dez was attentive. Red lobster just is not what it used to be. Seems to be like every time I order the lobster tails they come to me like rubber. I sent mine back and got another one, but it was the same. What could possibly go wrong with soup and salad??? Well, the silverware had food all over them, I had to go to my car and get plastic silverware to use.. Then , the soup was cold and tasted watered down.. I can see why all the chains are closing, it was horrible.. my husband got the filet and lobster, which he said was good.., he added on a few coconut shrimp for a whopping $13.. You go here, knowing it's a chain so your expectation is for average food. That's what we got. We each asked for a cup of lobster bisque . And ordered the dragon shrimp to share . The bisque was the right color and had good flavor but was actually a soup. It was really thin and no buster in it at all, visible. Or by texture. The shrimp had a thick k armor of coating and the spicy dragon sauce tastes fine, the heat grows on you . I tolerated 2. Place clean , smelled fine, waitress pleasant. The food was great and our server April was nice and all but was very slow. I would understand if it was busy, but we were the only table in the bar area and she was just more concerned about discussing drama and badmouthing coworkers behind the bar with other servers than serving our table. First we arrived and noticed a dead lobster in the tank being eaten by another lobster. You would think this would be something staff would have noticed. Told staff and they immediately removed dead lobster and walked it through restaurant uncovered. Customers watched employee walk through restaurant with dead lobster in his hand. Service was the slowest I've ever seen. it it took 12 to 15 minutes to actually have a waitress come to our table. Once we ordered our food, it was still more than 30 minutes no refills even though the manager asked around us if they needed refills. Finally decided to leave, and had them cancel the meal.. This is a very esthetically pleasing Red Lobster. Its got a "Maine" type look outside. The interior is very clean, spacious and appropriately lit. Its kid friendly but at the same time its nice enough for a date. We came here, with our baby, for my husbands birthday. He loves lobster. They had a sling for our car seat, which is nice. The booths aren't large enough to slide a car seat into. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. I got the chicken tacos with rice and my husband got a lobster tail and shrimp, also with rice. Those damn biscuits they bring in the bread basket have crack in them. They are by far the best part of eating at any Red Lobster. My chicken tacos had one sad piece of chicken, smothered in a mayo based southwest sauce, sitting on top of a cup of cabbage for each taco. It was disappointing. I also got three teaspoons of pilaf as my side. My husband liked his food but he also thought the rice was shit. We might come back here because it wasn't awful and my husband reaaaallly likes lobster. I guess ill steer clear of poultry and mexican at a seafood place next time. While I usually find chain restaurants disappointing Red Lobster is exceptional. Travel to Morgantown frequently and it is a favorite. Food is always consistent. Service every time is spot on. Staff can make or break a restaurant and everyone has been exceptional. Big fan of grilled shrimp and scallops. Always cooked perfectly. read more

Everyone here is very friendly. Our server, Dayton was attentive to our needs and the food was great too. They have calamari as their new app which was very good. I don't eat seafood but my steak was tender and juicy. The only thing I'd change about the steak is the amount of peppercorn they use to grill it, but if you love black pepper then you're golden. Lastly, no review of Red Lobster would be complete unless it mentioned the biscuits... of course they were phenomenal! read more

I'm an absolute fiend for some seafood and let me tell ya for it being Morgantown, Red Lobster has great food! I got the ultimate feast and it was perfect. The lobster tail was buttered and seasoned perfectly and the crab legs were to die for. Nothing better than cracking a leg open and seeing a full piece of crab meat pull right out! The service was good. My server made sure hot biscuits were out while I waited for a friend. It was Wednesday and the deal was a few dollars off of their 4 course meal which was $15. The first course was lobster bisque for an extra dollar upcharge. The lobster bisque tasted like melted cheddar, the broth was thick and the flavor was really salty. I couldn't even finish it. The garden salad was basic. The shrimp scampi didn't have a lot of flavor. The best thing was dessert which was a chocolate cake with ice cream which I really liked. I think all in all, this is a pretty standard Red Lobster, compable to others. Love (loved?) Red Lobster, and stopped there for a late lunch to celebrate some personal milestones and good news on Tuesday about 2:30 pm. We ordered from the lunch menu (no appetizers) and each had a frozen margarita. The margaritas were almost $7 each (!!!!) and were not "top shelf" either. Even worse, they had NO alcohol in them. I only have a drink 3 or 4 times a year, and can feel alcohol in them immediately - these were tasty, but were absolutely not alcoholic - for $7 each!!! The salads were small, and loaded with croutons for filler. It cost $2.50 extra with my husband's fish and chips, but came with my pasta. Came in on a Saturday evening around 8pm with my mother for dinner and to my surprise was sat immediately. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. I ordered the 'lobster lovers dream' and my mother ordered the 'snow crab legs', both were delicious and well prepared. This place seems to do quite well in its class, but I'm taking a star for a combination of two things that need to be addressed: "suggested tips" on receipts (which probably shouldn't be there as a "nudge") should always be based off the pre-tax subtotal, never the after-tax total.
