It's clean. It's comfortable. The food is fine. The service is hit or miss as far as friendliness and attentiveness. I have a couple of menu items that are my go-to when someone chooses Bob Evans, but every time I think I'll try a different menu item I am unhappy about it. I don't care for their pie, but their yeast rolls are really good and I love that they offer real butter instead of "buttery spread." read more

I agree with the statement Owosso Bob Evans has went way downhill. Ordered chicken fried steak breakfast. It was nothing but burnt fried batter. So thin couldn't have had meat didn't see any either. Fried batter pancake. Menu not what used to be either some favorites have been eliminated in lieu of stuff I don't consider comfort food!! read more

Haven't been to Bob Evans in some time but I was finally able to get my breakfast fix from them. I've missed the awesome sausage gravy on top of my food which I add it to more than just the biscuits. What was off putting to lose a couple of stars was the service. The waitress seemed to do the minimum and every refill weather it was coffee or water we always had to ask for. She never offered a refill for them. As well as when we needed to ask for additional items to order she was no where to be seen. read more

This review is specific to the farmhouse meals to go that you can order for holidays. My family and I ordered the ham Thanksgiving dinner for 8 at a cost of $115. Part of the appeal in ordering this was an assumption on my part (my bad) that since this was a reheatable meal the food would come in aluminum foil type pans. My intention in ordering it was minimal cleanup. Unfortunately when it arrived everything was packed in plastic, requiring me to reheat in my own dishes. The food was adequate at best. The mashed potatoes were bland and runny & I would have preferred stuffing over dressing. The corn & the ham was a little dry with no apparent moisture or seasoning. Even though I ordered it for 8:00 a.m. I did have to wait about 10 minutes for them to get it together but they gave me an orange juice while I was waiting at my request. All in all I would not order again unless it was in foil pans. I wasn't impressed enough to take a photo. read more

We go here about 4 x a week. Today I ordered a cup of soup. It came out just luke warm. My mocha was hotter than it was. Our server left the check as soon as she brought the soup and never came back to see if everything was alright or not. We have never had such bad service before. So we left no tip. We had to flag down the blonde waitress to get a to go cup, as I wasn't leaving the soup, since I can warm it up at home. Their soups are always good. But when we checked out- the blonde waitress never offered to lower our bill for the luke warm soup or say she was sorry for the inconvenience. I don't believe she even told the cook about it being warm. I don't know how our original server didn't know it wasn't warm when she handed it to me. If she was doing her business she would've realized it wasn't hot to the touch like it should be. But they seem to be all hanging around in the kitchen talking. Very disappointed with our visit tonight. I know if the manager had been there she would've taken care of the problem promptly. read more

This use to be my go to when I didn't have time or want to cook. I got take out today for my family, one chose the chicken and noodles deep dish dinner. They received a biscuit with mashed potatoes then a separate bowl of chicken noodle soup not chicken and noodles....... We also ordered the child's turkey dinner with carrots the carrots were so shriveled and nasty looking I couldn't even serve it. I used to love this restaurant but the same thing happened to the Fenton location it started out very nice then steadily declined till it closed. This one was very good too but is consistently declining it seems. read more

We ordered on the phone, the staff was so kind in understanding my food health issues, and she was cheerful, helpful, and delightful to order from! My husband went in to pick the order up, the staff was friendly and efficient! When he brought the food home, it was correct, hot, VERY tasty, and I've been DYING for some waffles for months, and was NOT left down! They FAR surpassed expectations, and I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to the pickiest of eaters like myself!!! read more

We went for breakfast. There was no wait when we got there at 10:00, but thete was a line when we left. It did seem to be moving quickly. Our waitress, Sue, was great. I had the crepes and she quickly gave me a strawberry option when I asked for something other than blueberry. My husband had a country biscuit breakfast which he loved. My crepes were perfect. Everyone was great, just wish there morning seating included booths. It was a bit cold sitting in outer room. Price was extremely reasonable. 5.99 for two crepes with fruit and whipped cream. Last but not least. They make a great decaf coffee! Iverall, we had a very enjoyable breakfast. read more

I love this Bob Evan, the food comes out nice and hot. Kayla is my obsolete favorite waitress, every time coming here she makes the visit even better. I'm not waiting for that long when I walk in and they're always so nice and friendly. The pot roast it the best thing on the menu I believe. I get it every single time. Quite possibly my worst dining experience that I can remember. Usually I enjoy going to Bob Evans and love having breakfast for dinner. Last night was the exception. W e drop the boys at practice and figure we have plenty of time to sit down for dinner. Think again. After waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes our food starts to show up. My daughters meal was ok, I don't expect much from the kids menu, but my wife's pancakes were a dime thick and still gooey in the middle (which is hard to believe considering how thin they were). My plate contains what looked like one scrambled egg, even though I ordered a farmers breakfast with French toast. Needless to say after wasting over an hour and a half we ended up grabbing fast food after we picked the boys up. We weren't the only ones with that type of experience last night, the whole place was waiting for food. We watched 3 groups leave the same time we did. read more
