The service here is always amazing! It's just a normal mom & pop diner as far as atmosphere - nothing special. Breakfast is pretty good but that's where good stops. This had to be the worst experience I think I've ever had going out for breakfast. We had looked up a place to have breakfast on our way home from Frankenmuth and this seemed like a nice family restaurant. When we sat down, our waitress, asked for our drink order and brought it probably within 10 minutes. At that point, the waitress said she would go get her pad to come and take our order. We probably waited another 20 minutes watching her run around the restaurant and finally asked another waitress if she could come take our order , so she called over our waitress who apologized for taking so long. We put in our order and saw the waitress walk over to the computer screen and enter our order. At that point we were waiting and we knew it was memorial day and things might take a little bit longer, so we were allowing for a little extra time however we noticed a table behind us and a table in front of us who had arrived after us, and not only place their order, but received their food while we were still waiting. The person I was with finally called another waitress over and said that we've been waiting over an hour for our food and he asked to speak to the owner or the manager because he was very upset about us waiting so long. At that point another new waitress came over and apologized and said that our waitress was in the back room having a meltdown over the situation and that she was going to buy our breakfast for us. My friend was very upset. I was a little more calm, but he said there's no way we are paying for this order. We've been here over an hour, that waitress walked away and then came back and said she wanted to verify our order so that everything was perfect on the order. we gave her specific details on our order and she went in the back and said it would come out quickly and I believe it it came out then in 20 minutes. My theory is that the first waitress somehow enter all the information in the computer and lost our order so that when that other waitress came back to check on the specifics of our order, she was actually taking our order from scratch and they had to go in the back and make it up brand new. The food was fine but maybe a little bit greasy, but with the whole fiasco with our order taking over an hour and a half and us watching other people come after us eat and leave while we're still waiting for our food was very upsetting. As soon as we got done eating, we just got up and left the restaurant. The first waitress never made any kind of apologies to us, and I thought that was a lack of professionalism and kind of tacky. Obviously, we would never go back here and I believe they need to come up with some new strategies for training their staff and telling them how to deal with customers and how to take orders properly. read more

Couldn't eat there on a Sunday. In at 1030 and left at 1110. We sat where we wanted. Restaurant only had roughly 10 guests that were all eating when we arrived. Waitress took our order, gave us coffee and returned a half hour later to fill our coffee cups. Waited another 10 minutes, still no food. Other guests showed up and had taken orders and received their food. When the waitress was approached about our food, her reply was, "it's coming". Didn't want to give us a timeframe, so we offered to pay for the coffee and left. This is a convenient restaurant for a lot of people in Clio. Wait staff has to do better. At least communicate with your customers. If you forgot to put in our order, then honestly tell them. It will save frustration of the customer and make the experience more enjoyable. There are people, including me, that understand mistakes happen. But not a single word for 30 minutes, can't happen. read more

Came here tonight, and definitely will be back! The homemade onion rings were AMAZING! The biscuits & gravy (also homemade) were great! So happy to see a new owner in this space! Restaurant is clean and staff is friendly and quick! Highly recommend! Prices are competitive to other coney islands. Also love the homemade ranch! The owner definitely has pride in the new business & has made a great effort to bring a fantastic new restaurant to the area. Thanks for a great dinner! read more

We stopped for Breakfast at Andy's country chef. The food was great. Good sized portions, we got our food quickly and our waitress, I think her name was Peggy (sorry if that is wrong) was great. It is a nice family restaurant. Lastly, the prices were good. That is getting more rare these days. We would definitely go again read more

Cheapest omelette I was ever served. Some post beacon crumbs mixed with squares of ham imitation like product wrapped in thin eggs and im talking THIN. Cheap cheap cheap.... I only ate side tomatos and didn't touch the rest. Looked horrible and smelled like old cooking oil. Waitress did not came once for coffe refill or even to give me the bill. If you like eating and swatting at with a LOT of flies buzzing around jumping on your food on your table then you'll go right at home. The waitress said all the flies are trying to get in because it's the weather's changing. No anyone with a brain knows that dirty flies mean filthy kitchen and restaurant, which equals to unhealthy food being served. If that couldn't be the worst then you won't believe how bad the food was it was the worst gyro that I've ever had. A gyro comes with cucumber sauce and they substituted it with some kind of garlic butter/sauce. Parts of the order was missing and the food was pure crap. No refill on our coffees, etc. Then the waitress had the nerve to say I'll redo it when you come back, like I was going to really do that. read more

Ordered takeout for breakfast. They were busy, busy. Still getting the the place functioning. Food was pretty good, cooked to order. The place was very clean. We had, the 2 egg meal, ham n cheese omlete, full order of french toast. The omlette and french toast came with the sausage ordered with those. Good enough to warrant a return visit. read more

I went there for breakfast & the place was 1/2 full of people, but every empty table had the last customers food still on it. I picked a table that had the least amount of dirty dishes on it & waited for about 5-10 mins for a waitress or a bus boy to clean the table. Nobody came over so I left & went to big boy down the road. read more

I ordered the roast beef dinner the salad was excellent the roast beef and the gravy was really good some mashed potatoes wow somebody needs a lesson on how to make mashed potatoes they were disgusting to say the least the corn was fresh and it was good the service was excellent the restaurant looked clean that's the first time I've been back in it since they reopened after the woman first opened it up as a classic Coney Island if they do something about their mashed potatoes they'll have a good place to eat at maybe next time I'll try their breakfast can't seem to mess a breakfast up too much read more

This place has had a few owners over the years so when we saw there was yet another, and had to stop at the UPS store, we figured we would give it a try. Maybe you thought so, too. But don't. The wait to sit was fine but the wait for our food was ridiculous for some eggs and hash browns. Pretty sure when the waitress came over to ask how we were she realized we didn't have our order. The toast had some weird gelatinous butter substitute on their. It wasn't even melted which makes one think the toast sat a while. The food is bland. Like super bland. These days hospital food is better. Pretty sure it was all from Gordon's. Which, is fine and works for a lot of places but you really have to Dr it up a bit. Do not put chef in the title if you're just going to slap together GFS food. I wanted to like this place for a simple breakfast and they had some interesting menu items, but I won't be back. I also feel like they were training staff, which is fine, and I get the wait time for that, but the food. It's all about the food. read more
