Here from Cali. and had to stop by this nostalgic eatery. In California Bob's Big was a popular restaurant back in the day. I believe there are only a few of them left now in Cali. It wasn't crowded and we selected a booth to dine. We ordered our meals and they arrived shortly. My husband ordered an appetizer of egg rolls. They were over fried and dark. He did enjoy his Philly cheese steak sandwich and fries. I had the fried fish sandwich. It was overly breaded and over fried. Always disgusted when I leave this place. Salad and soup bar was disgustingly bad, everything on it should have been thrown away!! Server was efficiently slow but obviously would rather be somewhere else. Sandwich was ok though it took forever to arrive. I stop into a Big Boy every couple years to see if they have improved, I don't think they are even trying. read more

The food was cold, we had to ask repeatedly for things to complete our meals. Such as syrup for pancakes, butter and jelly for biscuits. Sour cream for hash browns... There were only a few people in the restaurant but the five employees couldn't handle it. Our waitress was obviously new and very sweet, she was just not supported by her coworkers. read more

Well it's Big Boy. We arrived (party of 3) for an early lunch . We arrived at 11:30 in hopes to beat the lunch rush. The proportions were huge for the amount of fries given . The fries were good quality and not greasy or salty . We are not certain where the help was. Did someone call in sick? Was there a large amount of couples that were unexpected? The salad bar was not stocked with soup and there was a small amount left from what we were going to assume was yesterday. Our food arrived after about 1/2 hour of waiting. Feel bad for the wait staff and kitchen staff as they appeared to running solo. If a manager is reading this step up and help out or pit more staff on the schedule. read more

We stopped for the salad bar. It was 1230 in the afternoon. We were the only ones there the salad bar lettuce in a bowl with only a few toppings which were not fresh coleslaw also some kind of whip cream stuff only half the bar was full. The soup was a tomato bisque. It was so thick and nasty We paid for two salad bars, and two iced teas. $38.00! Very sad we went to another store up north and that was awesome. Stop at 12:00 in the afternoon for salad bar only people there what a mistake the bar was not fresh and very small -soup was tomato was an orange color and so thick I mean too thick with 2 pots there of that! Price was outrageous for 2 salad bars and 2 ice teas $38.00 Don't waste your time or money. One girl was in slippers as they sat chatting in the office. And walking in the one waitress was watching tv in a booth no uniforms just jeans sweatshirts not a place I would recommend better family restaurants in the area. read more

We had the Sunday breakfast buffet, and it wasn't a very good experience. Though the waitress tried her best to make it pleasant, they kept running out of plates, the buffet was messy, the biscuits were like rocks, and scrambled eggs were watery. On the up side, the gravy was great and the bacon was well cooked. We expected more for $15.99. read more

Waitresses are not wearing their masks in the correct way. It is an uncomfortable experience so we will fo elsewhere.

Great old fashioned dining experience. Had to stop at a Big Boy when we came back to Michigan for a wedding. Recommend you stop in for some great shakes and awesome fries! A Big Boy burger is awesome too. read more

This place has really gone down hill! I don't know what happened, it used to be a fairly decent place to eat. Last night we had dinner there and the waitresses were so rude and cold. Very unfriendly. My good was terrible, the soup tasted weird and my mashed potatoes had a crust on the bottom and were luke warm. I think they'd been sitting on the plate for a while. Wait staff was not very friendly and acted like they wanted to be anywhere but at work. Wait staff was talking in a group complaining as bout the bad tips they just got. Our waitress was not the friendliest either. She took forever to take our drink order and to clear our dishes after walking by numerous times. If they were busy, I would understand, but we were the only ones in there at most times. I'd go back only cause the food was good. Restaffing would be a good idea. The manager could be more interactive with the customers, as I've experienced with other Big Boys. read more

This location was very nice, it was clean, with good service and very good food. I visited this location three times over the course of a month. I had the triple decker club twice because it was so good, great plentiful and fresh French Fries, this has been an issue at other locations. The servers are very good and promptly provided refills and quickly would ask about desert and then give the bill, no long wait. Each time I went was lunchtime and the restaurant was medium busy each day. I was greeted promptly and seated wherever I wanted to sit. Very nice overall and I recommend to lovers of Big Boy and those that haven't been yet. read more

this is one of the most disappointing and discussing meals i have had, staff was ok wasn't correct on some stuff like you had to buy a meal and buy the salad bar if you wanted it but another lady said you didn't have to do that, also the staff seemed lost and constantly leaving . We order the " super" cheese burger the meat was burnt and the fries were over cooked all that for about 19 dollars not including salad bar it was literally a waste of time and money, go somewhere else if you want good food. Also not a surprise they messed up the bill and we had to wait longer until they could find someone with a special card to spill the orders/ meal read more

Was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. The staff was pleasant and friendly checking on my welfare throughout my visit. My meal was delivered promptly and prepared to my satisfaction. The dining area was clean and inviting. Since I was on a time constraint the service was great and entire visit was well within my time frame. Since the Big Boy chain is shrinking in locations it is nice to visit a great restaurant still in service! read more
