We were greeted with different loaves of bread, sliced and bagged; I had eyes only for Stollen bread. Other baked goods, seasonings, jams, salad dressings, and more were there. My friend and I both ended up at the bakery case, where we picked out some treats. I ended up with cherry and apple fritters and a pineapple hand pie. The fritters were okay; I had one at the end of the day and thought it was a bit stale. The pastry for the hand pie was a bit more like shortbread than pie dough so not to my taste. However, the staff at the bakery counter were friendly and helpful. The place was buzzing but they worked quickly to accommodate all of us, even the undecided.
