I have ordered BobEvens takeout before and had a very nice experience l. This time was so disappointing. We ordered the pot roast meal with sides that was supposed to feed 6 people. We received enough pot roast for maybe 2 servings. The manager stated that we received the correct amount. Having ordered several meals from them before I knew this was not correct. I will not recommend them and will not order from them again.

Brittany helped my kids & I have a wonderful Valentine's day dinner. Anything we needed, she made sure we had it. Dean cooked our meals to perfection - extra crispy bacon, chocolate chip pancakes, medium rare steak, and ever-flowing coffee. I highly recommend this location for a quick yet delicious meal. This establishment is 1.9 miles (7 minutes) from the Corning Museum of Glass.

The staff was awesome. The food was terrible, unhealthy, and overpriced and the music was hokey. Due to being on a somewhat restricted diet for medical reasons, I ordered the healthiest looking breakfast option - steel cut oatmeal with strawberries and bananas - and it came with candied pecans and strawberry syrup. My little guy really liked his pig face pancakes, I'll admit that was cute. Don't eat here, but if you do eat here, be nice to the staff. They were working hard, and the service was flawless. Otherwise it'd be one star.

We tried the 1/4 lb platter. With fries and potato salad. The pulled pork was amazing. Great flavor and very tender. The smoked sausage was as good as any smoked sausage I have had in upstate NY. The chicken was also very tender and had a good smoked flavor. The ribs had a lot of flavor and were not over cooked like some places do. The brisket.... Was brisket.... Maybe it wasn't made today which is fine. It tasted more like a roast than a brisket. My wife and I differ on our opinions of BBQ houses. I like to try the meats before I put any sauce on. My wife like it covered beforehand. This place doesn't smother it but does put it on before I got a chance to try the meats. The potato salad was ok but not bursting in flavor. The pieces in it are cut fairly large. It was ok. Fries are fries. A little over salted. But they did have malt vinegar. We might try this place again.

Ordered some corn nuggets to share, and then our entrees. My pulled pork on my sandwich was perhaps a bit fatty for my liking, but otherwise had a bit of smoke to it... and a little bit of bark on the ends. Probably could have used more sauce though. Service, food, and overall ambience were all fine... no complaints, but the place is very no frills. I wouldn't necessarily make a special point to visit again, but it was an easy option and I'd be willing to try a couple other options on the menu.

Burgers & Beer of Corning had about 25 beers on tap, half of them crafts. We had to have a Labbatt Blue, a 4% pilsener, mellow, lightly malty. A good old beer, easier to find here than in Baltimore. One of us likes sours, so we got a Rising Storm Berry Pomegranate It Was Written IPA - Sour. It was a pretty purplish color. The flavor was mostly tart-berries without much that was distinctively either pomegranate or hops. I'd ask the bar not to rely on only this as the sour on tap. But kudos for the adventure of trying a unique local brew! This was a pleasant casual semi-dark bar with as many brew choices as there are hours in the day. Food, too, if you like. A server was standing in the dining area And I asked "are you not open, we can go someplace else." She told me "no it's fine, we're open til 8:00 don't worry about that" and gestured at the bar. We sat there until 6:00 listening to her swear and complain that we'd walked in, with no one coming to bring menus or anything. My kids even were like "whys she mad dad I thought they were open." And "why haven't they come to take our order?" We finally just got up and left, as as we did the bartender was just standing staring at us the server who'd told us to come in was sitting playing on her phone, and what looked like the kitchen guy was sitting on a bar stool staring at us to. I thanked them for their hospitality and we left. Definitely wouldn't go back to that unfriendly place.

This is not going to be an easy review to write. I have so many conflicting thoughts and…read morefeelings... reviewing a restaurant should never be this dramatic! Seriously though... speaking as someone who was a partner in two restaurants in NYC for 4 years, who does not claim to "know it all" but knows some tricks of the trade... I think they've got great potential and would like to share my thoughts with them. Saying they've "got potential" probably come across as smug, obnoxious, and ridiculous, especially because they've got like 4.6 stars here on Yelp! And that's mainly why I found myself here... Staying in Mansfield for the night, I looked up restaurants that were enroute to our hotel. Some of them had 3 or 3.5 stars and I said "no way." But 4.6 stars with as many reviews as The Farmer's Table has? Absolutely! The atmosphere is a little bit diner but cozy enough and has the farm as a theme. There are some cool design elements, like the steel ceiling, the tables... The bathroom was clean and well stocked, and that's a really good sign that the place is sanitary and organized. The waitress was really, really nice... and we loved that we were in this tiny little town and yet she had this really cool, funky image. Great fingernails! I'm jealous! A tip for her to make service even better... think about sequence of service. Think about the extras that the customer will want with the specific thing they ordered so that they won't have to bother you. If they order something with fries, definitely put ketchup on their table, and do it before the food is delivered. There were also a lot of empty tables with salt shakers, but it's had none. Some customers notice these little things and appreciate a server who anticipates their needs. On the other hand, maybe she was just really slammed busy before we got there. My wife and I waited like 2 minutes for her to take my order and she apologized profusely for having us wait so long for her. I was like, "am I in Manhattan or wut???" She was on point, generally easy to find when we needed her, she was never trying to hide from customers (a huge no-no) and very well-intentioned. Definitely a keeper. The food though... I was surprised we didn't like it very much being the reviews were so good. When I got the check to pay, I asked the server what their most beloved and popular dishes are. She said that ppl order a lot of the prime rib sandwich, and also the cat fish. Incidentally, I had ordered the prime rib sandwich, and my wife had the breaded cat fish. I was expecting a lot more meat on my sandwich, and the bun was just a regular burger bun, but it was ok. It came with 3 slices of pickle and cost $11.90. I was still hungry after that so I finished my wife's catfish 'cuz she gets full easily. I liked the catfish more, but neither of us thought it was anything special. What was special were the prices. The catfish included 2 sides, and it cost less than $14. Being from NYC, it was so refreshing to see pricing that reminded me of year 2000! A burger for $7.85 that's not Burger King? Incredible! But the cole slaw... ewww. I didn't hate it, but I kind of forced myself to eat it even though it had a strange flavor. The sweet potato fries were ok. Everything was basically O.K. I imagine that, if I lived there, I would go pretty regularly cuz it's probably the best thing the neighborhood has in a few square miles, and it's easier and more fun than cooking at home (if you're not a cook and you're busy at work). But I think that some improvement in the food could make the place more of a destination. And a destination could actually bring more business to the surrounding businesses! I can understand if the townspeople want very basic food there, but at least offer a few specials that are fancier, better ingredients, something that stands out and is memorable. I know I'm spoiled coming from NYC... a 4.6 star review in places like Manhattan are different than a 4.6 star review in a small town. But this place has some nice things about it. Take it all the way!
