For the main courses, we enjoyed a seafood risotto and a rather large chicken pot pie. (Yeah I know, getting chicken pot pie at a steakhouse is kind of unordinary but it's one of my weaknesses) The pot pie was pretty good. The crust was really good but the filling was standard with others that I've had (not those nasty ones from grocery stores either, but other restaurants). My wife had the risotto, I of course tried some the seafood flavoring throughout the rice itself was done perfectly. The seafood that was in it was also prepared exceptionally well, with one small detail that I would have done different. When you're putting shrimp on a skewer next to a steak for example, yeah I can definitely see leaving the tails on but when you incorporate shrimp into a pasta dish or a rice dish like risotto, to have to take the time as the custer to cut the tails off or reach your fingers into your food and pull them off... I ordered the seared scallops last time and the scallops were excellent as was the salmon I tried from one of my family member's plates, and the crab cakes are also amazing. The coleslaw side was not bad but very pedestrian, like the stuff you can get in a tub at the grocery store. I really enjoyed the whiskey bread pudding and the cheesecake, the key lime pie was just too sweet and one-note for me - all the desserts are big and very sweet, so I think it's best to share. I guess it's a good choice considering what's available at Tioga Downs, especially factoring in the more sophisticated atmosphere here compared to the restaurants on the casino side, but I myself would not choose to come here were it not for family obligations.
