Came here for breakfast since it was next to our hotel, but the food and service is a bit mediocre. We had to ask for cream for our coffee twice before receiving it. Not fond of the sausages that they use. Too salty. The home fries were lacking in flavor and salt but we did choose the plain one. They have options with bacon, scallions, and cheese. The french toast was good though and the pancakes were loaded with strawberries.

Our server hooked us up with the extra rolls, biscuits and banana bread.

My husband grew up in NY so Bob Evans was a restaurant that they used to eat at. Now that we are all here for a family trip, it's a must have dinner at Bob Evans. We came in at 8. There was only one other table eating. We did double check if it was ok of we could stay for dinner since they close at 9. They said no problem and sat the 7 of us. Melinda took care of us tonight. She got our drinks started while we looked over the menu. I got the peach iced tea. Mannnnnnn was it good! It was perfectly sweet! And you can taste the tea and the peach. A total must have! We just came from Georgia and this tea was comparable to the sweet tea we had there. So yummy! Before dinner, Melinda dropped off a huge plate of rolls, biscuits and banana bread. We have been flying all day so we were happy that a whole bowl of bread was dropped off in front of us! I had a slice of the banana bread and it was so good! It was moist and flavorful. I added some butter on top, delicious! It took a lot out of me to only have 1 slice. I wanted to save room for dinner. I got the steak tips for dinner tonight. For my sides I got fresh fruit and buttered broccoli. As everyone's plates were coming out, I noticed how tasty they all looked. My husband's country fried steak looked good! My daughter's cheese was all nice and melty on top of her sunshine skillet. And then mine came out. I totally thought it was a joke. It looked like a hot mess. It looked like it was just thrown on the plate. I love my food charred but my food was completely burnt. Like my steak, onions and mushrooms were left on the grill, completely forgot about and then cooked when everyone's food was done being prepared. The steak and mushrooms were so burnt that you couldn't tell what you were eating. I know the chef had second thoughts on serving me that plate cause they were working on new steak tips without me saying anything. My second plate of steak tips was a lot better. The mushrooms and onions were sautéed nicely. And this time around the steak was edible. I appreciate that they remade my steak. But honestly, I wouldn't have served the first plate. My side of brocolli was decent. You don't get a lot of it. I did have a bite of my husband's mac and cheese, it's way better than the stuff they sell at the grocery store. I don't know if we will come back anytime during this visit but if we do I'm getting the mac and cheese. Overall, it was a decent dinner. It brought back fond memories for my family. Melinda did a great job taking care of us tonight. I appreciate that they right a wrong. My family left full and happy. It was a good visit to Bob Evans tonight.

My mom's birthday happens to fall on New Year's Day. It's very hard to find a restaurant open on this holiday. Bob Evans was very accommodating and allowed us a private back room. Super helpful as we have someone severely autistic in our party. They also had no problem with us bringing our own birthday cake. I did bring our own plates and serving utensils to not inconvenience the restaurant.

I come here every time my dog gets groomed at a nearby business. The staff has been friendly every time I've came, my favorite plate so far is the strawberry french toast, I plan on trying the pick 2 next it's half a signature sandwich and half size salad or soup!

Blue Ribbon Bacon and Sausage Gravy & Biscuits

It's not bad! Hubby wanted to try this place as he saw it in a video. We stopped here for some breakfast and ordered: - kids piggy pancakes - biscuit N sausage gravy - country steak and eggs - blue ribbon bacon - strawberry orange juice The kid's piggy pancakes are really cute! It comes out in a piggy face and you get a meat and drink with it. My son picked chocolate milk and they gave him a mason jar glass full of milk. The biscuit and gravy was ok - gravy was good. The country fried steak was delicious! It was really crispy and excellent with the gravy (esp with the gravy that came with the biscuits) The bacon we would pass next time as it came covered in maple syrup and black pepper. The juice was also a bit too sweet and needed to be watered down

Entry mural.

I would give zero stars if that were an option.... We were told about a twenty minute wait. After waiting 30+ minutes we inquired on the wait and were told they got a lot of takeout orders, so they couldn't seat anyone. Here we are 45 minutes later and no one has said anything to us or any of the other groups waiting. We are leaving. Horrible, horrible customer service! You can enjoy a picture of the entry as that is all I saw on my visit. Did use the bathroom while waiting... It was dirty and smelled bad.

1/2 BLT and 1/2 chicken Cobb salad

Driving thru Buffalo on way to Ohio. Stopped for late lunch, as BE is an Ohio favorite. I had a half BLT and a chicken Cobb salad. Both were good. Salad was excellent with a few grilled chicken slices. Wife had avo w chicken, but the chicken was bad. Over marinated so very rubbery, rest was okay. They forgot the avo which we asked for and they brought out. I mean the dish was a southwest avocado chicken and they forgot the avo? I ordered a side of hash browns, charged, $2.99 and it was like 4 tablespoons of has browns smashed flat. I was speechless and let it go. Okay for breakfast, but BE menu is not good otherwise.

Me, in my car, waiting for 60 people to be seated - on a nice Sunday morning. Bob Evans is going down fast.

It's 39° outside, a nice sunny morning ... 10:30am and I drive to a local Bob Evans in Tonawanda to get a good breakfast. To my dismay, everyone else had the same idea. I was terribly disappointed when I discovered I could not wait in my car for a text, or a call to let me know my table was ready, but if I sat outside on a bench (60 y/o asthmatic woman) he could come out to the bench and let me know!! I can't stand up for an hour so I said I would be at the bench, but went to the car anyway. I set a 30 minute alarm to remind me to go in and see how far on the list I am. They used to text customers. I have no idea when mgmt became so anal towards providing good service. I never would have given them 1 star for the food. This is all SERVICE. Followup: When I went in 15 minutes later, the host said "I called you!!" ... he says he came outside for me. I told him I was asthmatic, and I had no idea they could seat all those people in 10 minutes. He took me next so I'm not that upset anymore. I just don't get it. The ONE star stands for today. Not for the food though. Its always 4-5 stars!! P.S. Dear Mgmt, GoDaddy offers phone/text numbers for pennies per month ... and its a business expense!!! Make a good decision for a change.

I love me so Bob Evans. Breakfast is good and the Wild Fire Chicken Salad is my favorite.

The Whole Hog
Daviyion J.

Very affordable breakfast and very delicious too! I got The Whole Hog breakfast which came with bacon, sausage patties, sausage links, ham, eggs, home fries, and one hotcake and one slice of French toast. It was a very hearty breakfast and I definitely left filled up. Service was also quick, especially considering it was mid morning.

Since then, they've become very commonly put in the best wings group for locals. However, I will say that while that is a great thing for their business, it may be a con too. This is a very small dive bar. Nice sports bar atmosphere and the staff is generally very nice and accommodating. But the last couple times we've been, we've noticed the dip in food service. We showed up at 5pm on a Saturday, and when we walked in, I kid you not, there was not one order of food on any of the tables, and the tables were filled. Very bizarre. I would assume they do a great portion of their business with door dash, and it seems as if that took priority over feeding the customers inside of the actual restaurant. It also seemed extremely overpriced. (I didn't pay much attention in the past about the price.) for 5 single order of wings, order of fingers, 1 order of onion rings, and 1 order of fries, our bill (4 adults and 2 kids) was $172. I could not believe it. You would have thought we ate at Lucia's for that price. While they are still my favorite wings, it's gonna cost you.

There were still tables available inside, so don't let a full parking lot scare you away. Do not skip the fried green tomato appetizer- to die for! I ordered the Sunday prime rib special with a loaded baked potato and asparagus, and it was absolutely to die for. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and such a great portion. My husband had the chicken risotto and loved every bite. We heard regulars talking about how amazing the desserts are. We were too full this time but next time I'm excited to try the bread pudding! The bartender/manager was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. The whole place has such a cozy, welcoming vibe. Served with crispy fries, this meal was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. The owner visits his customers, checking that everything is alright, treating customers as if they were his family. The establishment is quite charming. Recently remodeled, it does have the original bar. Old time NT memorabilia can be found within. Plenty of parking, too. The GPS took us to the first location that opened (the waitress said the 1960s) a long time ago. The building is sitting at an angle from the road so go to the right and turn in to park or go past and turn right for the parking lot. Middle of the afternoon on a Thursday they weren't too busy. We were seated immediately and waited on quick. I wanted some clarity with the wing heat. Some places hot is mild or hot is burn your face off. She clarified the medium hot is hot so that's what I decided on for an order of 6. My sister isn't so much of a wing person so she decided on a grilled cheese. The waitress was pleasant and answered all the questions we had. The restaurant itself isn't too big but can seat a lot of people. Total wing vibe. Lots of different flavors and quantities went by...everything looked tasty and fresh. They had Yuengling on tap so that's what I ordered. She had a pepsi. Food arrived fast. The aroma was to die for (ok it burns the eyes a little...). Came with celery and blue cheese. The wings were amazing, some of the best I have ever eaten. Crunchy celery and cool dipping sauce. Bigger than most that I have ordered and very freshly prepared. After 6 I was filled up...but I ordered another brew just to wash it all down. If you're in Buffalo (or the area) it's definitely worth stopping to have a treat. Other Buffalo favorites are on the menu as well (Beef on Weck sandwich. We will definitely be back, more flavors to try and locations to enjoy.

The sandwich was great and really salty (per the custom), but the bread became soggy pretty quick. I would dip it in the jus and try to bite it but the meat just couldn't be bit through and no matter how hard I tried it just made a sloppy mess. That was disappointing. The wings were ordered Medium Hot which they warn you is "Very Hot"... but it isn't. They were good, but next time I will order Hot because there was little to no burn. The fries were the frozen variety but nice, skinny and crispy. I liked dipping them in the leftover wing sauce. Next time, I will skip the sandwich and just get wings and fries. Hopefully it won't take me 5 years to come back.
