He also was realistic and told us that the heater was way past its life expectancy and we should think about a replacement. Did not force a sale or anything but did give us a quote for a replacement. The next day we decided to call back and just replace the system to avoid going through this again. They came in the next day, replaced the system and took care of all necessary permits. I knew that wasn't right but all these big companies don't trouble shoot, they just sell. Facebook recommended Brighton. I spoke to Lisa and requested a quote for a new system. She heard the history of my repairs and insisted she have someone look at if first. Glad she said that! The repairmen were stumped. Said nothing was wrong with the unit. But they took the time to really talk to me. Through that convo we diagnosed the issue! It turned out my roofers didn't set the new attic fan to the right setting. Rich fixed that and also explained how to troubleshoot issues for future repairs. He told me what can be fixed and what can't. Super honest guy. They're a little pricier than my old company but they're a lot more honest so I'll go with them. Honesty counts and is rare.
