I really wish I read more reviews on Boaz Electric before hiring them to rewire my cables and replacing old outlets. I hired Boaz Electric to do two things: 1.) rewire some cables in my master bedroom. 2.) replace out the old outlets with new ones. The owner name is Rudy and he is the one who completed the job. He also mentioned that he doesn't patch walls - this point is very important as you're reading my review. Without my consent, Rudy cut open my master bedroom closet drywall and didn't even bother patching them up. I understand he doesn't patch walls but why cut open my master bedroom closet? In addition, he left my house with a mess, used outlets throughout my house, dust everywhere, and debris from the drywall all over my closet. This part is purely my mistake. I didn't make a big fuss about the mess Rudy left behind in my house because I figured that he'll come back to do one more round of clean up. So I gave him the final check. Bad mistake. Rudy collected the final payment and refused to 1.) patch the walls and 2.) do a final clean up. Instead, he said, "this is not my job, you go find someone else". It's very clear that Boaz Electric took advantage of my kindness here. I've asked 1 electrician and 1 contractor to come out to review the work completed by Rudy. They both agreed that this is poor quality work and it's an unacceptable job. Matter of fact, they also confirmed there's an easier way to rewire the cables, cut some holes and fish the wires to the other side of the wall. Simple! But Rudy failed to do so. Please see attached photos of the damages in my closet caused by Boaz Electric. I texted Rudy and expressed my frustration on his work and requested he take 1/2 of the financial responsibility for the repairs. No reply. Please see attached text exchange. I tried calling Rudy again and again. He finally answered and I purposed that we find a solution that we both can agreed to and he refused. In addition, he yelled at me over the phone, "I told you I don't care! This is your problem and not mine. Don't call me again!". Rudy nonstop yelling at me over the phone as if I'm the one who destroyed his house. Very unprofessional. Please take your business elsewhere. read more

I feel bad leaving a 2 star rating because Rudy seemed like a pretty cool guy, but the communication wasn't there. Rudy came to my house and I showed him all the things I need to get done, the next day he texted me a top level estimate for everything. I told him I'll review with my dad and get back to him, fast forward 2 weeks later I reach out to him via text and ask if we can just have some things done first and how much each item would be, then the rest later, but he didn't reply. I tried texting again and calling to no avail, and he even has his read receipts on his text so it shows that he read my text but chose not to reply. A simple No or reply would have been ok with me rather than leaving me hangin, very unprofessional. read more

Called and spoke to Rodel regarding installation of 2 ceiling fans that required electrical wiring. I was very impressed with his professionalism and willingness to come out the very next business day to give me an estimation. The price was very reasonable and was almost 1/2 of what another electrician had quoted me. Rodel sent out one of his veteran Electricians, Kits to do the job. Kits spent almost a full day and also helped us with installing a new heater wall unit at no extra charge to us! The total ended up being the exact amount of the estimation and it took him 4 hours longer than originally quoted. I would highly recommend them! We plan to use them for future projects as they are very professional and did the job using very quality craftsmanship making only small incisions in our ceiling and wall. Thank you!! read more

I called Rudy after discovering him on Yelp. He was very quick to answer the phone, and was able to come out before any other electrician. I've now had Rudy do three jobs for me and all have worked out nicely: - A new GFCI bathroom outlet. - A new double gang outdoor outlet. - Installation of a timer switch to control the outdoor outlet. In the first and third of the cases, he came to do the estimate and was able to do the work on the spot the same day. (The second case was a little more challenging and required more parts; he did it the very next day.) As of August 2016, Rudy billed at $125/hr for labor plus parts at cost. Highly recommended! read more

Called Rudy, he showed up right away. We agreed to do the job in few days because he was available. Was a lots of miscommunication on the first day, Looked like Rudy was on the hurry to finish take the money and leave. I wasn't happy with the finish work, I asked him to run the cables inside the wall not outside because it's a professional building and I prefer for the wires to be hidden. He said it's impossible, after he finish everything in one day and made $4000, I realized that he was trying to take short cut . I called him back and asked him to put the wires inside the wall he said ok, when he showed up he wanted more money for something that he should've done on the first place. I told him that I would like him to fix it right for the money he got paid, he immediately turned around and basically just ran out. I texted him to come back and mark my circuit breaker box, which he also didn't finished, and now weeks later he never showed up or responded . My mistake , we paid him before we completely checked everything, unfortunately I'm very trusting woman he wasn't very honest guy , it was just all about money for him. I definitely would not recommend him, or be very careful with communication and have everything exactly on the paper. I will never use him again! read more

I made some inquires with Rudy. Gave me some quotes that was really understanding. Set an appt. He came in time. After few hours my wife and I check out the set up. We were both satisfied on Rudy's work. I highly recommend Boaz Electric. Thank You! I found our new go to electrician. read more

We met Rudy when we had a large electrical project that wasn't passing inspections and the previous electrician incapable of continuing work on it. We were then introduced to Rudy by our contractor and he turned out to be a blessing. He is very experienced and consequently is incredibly fast with his work. He is very thorough as well. He knows all the codes and made several suggestions that improved the electrical circuitry in our home. There wasn't anything that he did that required a second look. He changed the location of the PG&E meter box, added an extra sub-panel and made several improvements without nickel-diming us. I highly recommend Rudy for any scale of electrical work. He is very professional and does his job with a smile. read more

Excellent service! I've been having problems with my circuit breaker which I just recently had it fixed by a shady electrician but it was only good for a couple of months. I called Rudy on a Friday night and he came to my house the next day. He quickly diagnosed the problem and told me the cost before proceeding. He is an honest guy which is very hard to find these days. I definitely recommend Rudy since he is the only one I trust with my electrical problems. Thank you, Rudy for your amazing job! read more

I had Boaz electric install light fixtures throughout my entire house and I am very happy with the results. Unlike other electricians whom I had a hard time even getting a hold of and had to play phone tag for a few days, he was fast to respond to phone calls and able to start working on the project within a few days. They were very efficient, skilled and affordable and I won't even consider hiring anyone else but them in the future. read more

Rudy arrived as promised and quickly diagnosed the issue which was a burnt out starter motor for a fractional HP 3 phase motor. Had to order parts which arrived on a Friday afternoon. Anxious to be back in business Rudy came in on Saturday and installed new components with expertise. Left the area cleaner than when he first visited. Further he stayed to make sure the phases of the two motors supplied by the starter were properly phased, i.e. rotations were in sync. Couldn't ask for a more professional and efficient electrician. He will be my preferred go to guy when I need electrical assistance. I highly recommend. Stephen K. read more

I was in need of work for my backyard. From electrical outlets to lightning, and adding a automatic sprinkle system for lawn. I called several other electricians in my area and although they came to give me an estimate, getting back to me wasn't a priority or scheduling the work to be performed. I used "yelp" and found BOAZ at the top. I called and got Rudy. So I called at 11:00 am, he answered and said I can come at 3:30 pm. He showed up at 3:20 pm. I knew right away I wanted this guy to do the work. Rudy goes over all the work I needed done , AND notices other areas where I needed. I have a garage office and was working on an extension cord, quickly he suggested a independent line just for my office area. Then he noticed my lights were flickering and said that means its my ballast or switch,,,, anyway he found the little things that I needed. Rudy tells me the quote will be ready tonight. Texted me at 9:00pm with a price to do everything. It was cheaper than the 3 companies that came before. Here's the kicker, "how about next week friday?" HELL YEAH!!!! Rudy just finished and I'm a happy camper. Finished, cleaned up, and left with a handshake and a written guarantee. If you need electrical work done, call Rudy!!! Fast, Reliable, Fair, and most of all does great work!!! read more

They did the electrical in our house. They changed the whole junction box and separated our kitchen outlets in two coz it was overloading. They did it well. Rudy and his son were so professional in time and task. I recommend them! read more

Rudy came to diagnose my electrical issues (dimming lights) while using a power tool, he checked the panel and all the circuit breakers for any burn outs and he found nothing. He said everything was in order he told me that there might be an issue with the power line from the pole to the house and to call PG&E to have them check if there are any loose connections. I called PG&E they came over and change the neutral connection wires and that seems to fix my issues. Since he was here I asked him to change a light switch once he was done with it I asked how much do I owe him and he said none. Imagine how happy I was! I have an electrical project that I need done at the house and I will be calling Rudy to do it. That is why I had to change my review to 5 stars because any electrical issues that I will have in the future Boaz Electric is going to be my go to electrician. read more

Great at making the initial appt. I contacted Rudy in advance the previous day to reschedule for a few hours later because I had to go in to work earlier the next day but no response. I text him and called him..nothing. I called him early the day of the appt and he says I made another appt. We went back and forth about I wanted to reschedule or changing it back to the original appt and he said no. I explained to him that all I asked was to just communicate with me and don't leave me hanging without a response. I'm sure his work is great but communication isn't his strong point. That's all!!! read more

These guys are the real deal--responsive, professional, quality work. Rudy came out the same day I called, quickly fixed the problem, and even went above and beyond the scope of work to install extra features on my deck lighting. I will not use anyone else in the future except Boaz. read more

He was in a hurry the whole time he was working with our electrical issues. All i heard from him were my lights are too complicated. Maybe that is why i hired a professional to do the job for me but still I ended up assembling my living room light. He also left holes on my wall and never bothered telling me if I haven't asked of he is gonna patch it or not. Of course not! I ended up patching it using youtube tutorials. Not happy at all. read more

Boaz Electric provides excellent electrical service. I am satisfied with what was done for my home's electrical issues. My power kept going out when someone would use a space heater in my home. I called Rudy, whom is the electrician, and he came to my home one hour after I spoke with him. Very fast! He told me that I needed to have more circuits installed and he gave me his quote. It was very reasonable since I was expecting worse. He came back to my home the next day 20 minutes before the expected time. More than prompt. He installed two more dedicated outlets in my kitchen. On the next day, he came early again. I was impressed. He installed another circuit in my bedroom. Now, I have no electrical problems in my house. He explained to my tenants and I what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix the problem. He repeated himself patiently. I am impressed with his good customer service and his electrical work in my home. I will definitely call him on all my future electrical projects. He charges reasonable rates. He is very prompt on his appointments. He is very efficient in his electrical service. Last but not least, he is very customer friendly! Thank you Rudy. read more

I wanted to install 12 recessed lights and replace kitchen pendants, and I found Rudy from yelp. He respond immediately, came to my home after one hour and gave me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. He was generous and patient with his time answering questions prior to beginning the project, and since I don't know anything about this, he even went to home depot with me to choose recessed lights and housings. Rudy then completed the job swiftly and on budget. The work was extremely thorough and skillful. I'm very pleased with the results. read more

Rudy and his crew did a great job on my main breaker and box upgrade. It was a reasonable price and a complete and professional job.

Rudy does very good work. I had him over for three separate small (one day or less projects). Rudy does high quality and in my opinion highly safe work, he installed a spa panel for me, he installed a number of assorted lights and outdoor outlets and fixed an issue with my lights. Rudy is good about quoting a price and sticking with it. For smaller tasks he charged $125 an hour + labor as of September. To me (I don't have experience with a lot of electricians) this seemed pricey at first (and I can't say I know exactly what is market), but the permitting for the spa panel was super smooth and the city inspector just kept nodding his head and saying great or excellent. In general, quality of work was higher than I expected, I didn't ever get the impression that he skimped on either labor or parts to do the highest quality job. He is clear up front that he does not patch walls so that will be something that you have to take care of yourself (easy to do). My only minor niggle is that sometimes the floor was a bit dirtier on my deck and there were small pieces / wraps that I would have preferred were cleaned up. It's minor though and if it means reducing my cost and labor hours I'm all for it. read more

Having bought a 60+ year old house, you can only imagine the amount of problems I have with this home. Thanks to Rudy, my electricity is not one of them. After smelling smoke in my dining room, I contacted Rudy who gave me a quote and set up the replacement all for a reasonable price. He is an amazing electrician! A couple of weeks later I hired him to change out some lighting fixtures, and move an electrical socket so we can hang our flat screen tv with no wires. He also made a dog house for my new electrical panel. He does it all! He is very quick to reply to texts, very trustworthy, professional, and kind.I hope to find a handyman who is as honest and good as he is. read more

Rudy arrived timely and performed the task in a very professional manner. He has all the tools for just about any task. I call him "The Professional." If you yelpers are on the fence of who you should hire, look no further than Rudy. In the future, I will hire him to rewire my entire house. My only concern is whether he can find time for me. Truly an amazing and righteous person, He will be my go to guy with any future electrical needs. I hit the jackpot with Rudy and Boaz Electric.
