The Boathouse has serviced my 31ss Sonic for years from complete component replacement due to corrosion from the harsh salt water environment of the sea. They recently detailed and waxed the boat and it looks great! I would highly recommend their detailing services also. read more

The service at this marina was top shelf for the receptionist, to the yard workers and management. Patient with us as we had to reschedule multiple times. Founds ways to do things better than we had thought of. Went above and beyond with everything from custom parts to getting us gas when they didn't have to. Hats off to the whole crew there. Special thanks to Service Manager Chris. read more

I called to dry store my 2005 contender 31 CC. They quoted $1,521. More expensive than places that are on the main icw. I was curious on why the reviews on this place were so bad . Now I understand. read more

I would not send my worst enemy to to Boathouse marine center. Everytime I take my boat in for repair something else comes out broken. They are the absolute worst. I have been there a few time because of convenience but never again ...I will sell my boat before I take it there again...On a scale of 1 to 10... I rate them an absolute -10. read more

Texted Boathouse Marine Center in Pompeno on a Sunday for a service and repair situation on my Yamaha 3 00. Received quick response from Habib. He got me in quickly, communicated 100% of the time they had my boat. I knew the cost up front and received A++ service. Their boat slips are very easy to get into even on a windy day. I have been to almost all other local Marine centers. Boathouse is simply the very best. I will only take my boat to them and will post this on my Condo Website for all 1200 boat owners there to see. A++. Thank you! Oh and the entire service center is clean as a whistle read more

After spending $7000 for Boathouse to unsuccessfully repair my starboard engine that kept going into limp mode, I took the boat out of there after Matt told me it was going to be another $7100. Part of the work they did to repair the engine, Matt told me I needed new batteries and the battery control switch panel had to be replaced. They did this work and I paid 7K for it. After I got the engine fixed by another mechanic I can't start the starboard engine without paralleling the batteries. Never had to do this before. Called Matt who refused to work on the boat and repair what they messed up unless I took down my last review. Not happening. So far it's cost me $440 to straighten out the wiring on the battery switch panel and replace a defective battery they put in the boat. But the digital gauges in the tachs don't work, they were fine before Boathouse worked on it, so the mechanic will be back next week. I'll find out how much more it will cost me to fix their lousy work then. read more

I only went here to assist a friend in looking over and doing a sea trial on a boat in which he was interested. When he gave me the address, I was at first very leery since this was once the location of Hideaway Marina which was operated by one Pierre Gaudreau who had acquired what may best be termed as a most unsavory reputation for his dealings within the boating industry who had piled up a good number of civil complaints and was in fact later arrested. However, happy to say, Hideaway Marina and Pierre Gaudreau are long gone and have nothing whatsoever to do with the new Boathouse Marine Center. Boathouse Marine Center is basically a place for smaller, primarily single, twin and triple outboard engine boats from around 18 to 28 feet. The boats are mostly all stored indoors on racks and placed in the water when their patrons desire to take them out. The service department is good, well stocked and the services and other staff, competent, polite, knowledgeable and basically a pleasure to deal with. Indeed, it is vastly improved since Hideaway Marina days. read more

Their service is terrible. Incompetent. Never do a job right the first time, and a bunch of crooks! I agree with David S.

Matt and his crew have been awesome servicing my 36' Pursuit with Yamaha 350's. Responsive, on time, great work and fair pricing. Highly recommend Boathouse Marine center for your servicing and storage needs. read more

I bought a new boat here and am satisfied with the purchase. Rocky was our salesman and was very helpful with the process. He was very organized in getting all the paperwork completed. Last time I signed so many forms I was buying a house! It was mostly a positive experience. Receiving my registration and trailer tag took a considerable amount of time and I would suggest they use another company to do the legwork. When I called Rocky about that issue he took care of it immediately. Aside from the registration all else went very smoothly. They even gave us a nice gift basket. I definitely got a good deal. read more

My first service was ok when I purchased my Boat last year because of the amount of work it needed. Jim and Matt like when you spend money. My bill was over $5,000 so I was a good customer to them. After 1 year passed and I only needed my annual maintenance which cost much less - they were much less interested in helping me. Their excuse was that my Pro-line Boat was too old. The old Pro-line Boats were made better then the new ones (whcih they happen to sell). LOL PS - the prior owners of my Boat took incredible care of this beauty - custom oversized hard T-Top with integrated LED lighting, completely re-wired, USB's, 12 volt adapters, All LED lighting everywhere. I love this Boat as much today as the day I purchased it. These guys were contracted to replace my cable grommet. Instead of suggesting that they replace the rigging tube (as long as everything is taken apart anyway), it would only make sense to replace a $30 rigging tube. They put things back together without replaceing the rigging tube - REALLY ? Wouldn't that have made sense to replace the rigging tube??? Not to Boathouse Marine Center, they want to charge the $300 labor again. Why should I be able to save $300 when everything is already apart from the cable grommet install. OBVIOUS - they are in it for the $$ money only. Mo money - mo money - mo money !!! So instead of taking ownership of their oversight and taking the high road - (whcih would have forced them to take the cables apart again) They decided to take the low road and that's when they gave me that cockimamy BS story about my Boat being too old so they wouldn't have to take things apart again. They didn't seem to mind the age of my Boat on the first 2 services where I was spending allot mo MONEY $$$ Hmmm - that's interesting... WOW - is that the way you do busness at the Boathouse Marine Center ??? No quality control and Matt is just Jim's little puppet - poor guy !! I would stay away from the Boathouse Marine Center in Pompano Beach, Florida !!! BAD BUSINESS !! ***LETS BE FAIR TO OUR READERS JIM*** 1. You sent a mechanic to my home for "no cost to you" becasue I had ALREADY PAID YOU for a faulty trim motor that went bad after only 1 month. You had no choice but to fix it and fix it at my home since it was in my driveway broken. Hey Jim - lets share with our readers when you mechanic left my home after reinstalling a new tilt motor, he forgot the cotter pin for my throttle cable. WOW - that was fun on a Saturday - at idle speed only, up the intracoastal waiting to be towed. AGAIN - your mechanic forgot to put the cotter pin back on my throttle cable. NO POWER on a busy Saturday. Great job there too. 2. "Key Switch Issue" I dropped my Boat off by water and it ran and started perfectly. Matt even said they drove it to the fork lift perfectly. I NEVER had a problem with my "Key Switch" before. But for some strange reason and all of a sudden the key switch wasn't working when the Boat was out of the water. 3. Hey Jim - if " it is BHMC policy not to work on boats older than the year 2000" then WHY DID YOU WORK ON MY BOAT 2 PREVIOUS TIMES when I was spending allot more money? 4. Hey Jim - your readers are intelligent and have the ability to READ. Their are other unhappy people that have left negitive reviews not only on Google but also on YELP. Have you seen your YELP reviews letely? Here's the link: https://www.yelp.com/biz/boathouse-marine-center-pompano-beach?osq=boathouse%20marine%20center&start=20 PS - Our readers will also notice that most of your 4-5 star reviews are from people that have only revied 1-4 times. Hey Jim - it's all good. I took the Boat home and serviced it properly. Your technicians never even saw my tilt motor clip that was totally rusted and ready to fall off. Bottom paint I paid you for that didn't go high enough up the water line or the engine supports, 2 cycle oil dripping from the reservoir that you declined to fix. YOUR RIGHT JIM - WE MUST BE FAIR TO OUR READERS !!! read more

Great experience with our purchase of a gently used Sailfish CC. Our salesperson , Jim Magruder Set the tone for a smooth and professional transaction. Every department @ Boathouse Marine Center exceeded our expectations with superior service . From the office staff ( thank you Emily and staff) to all the guys in the shop who were more than helpful from sea trial, punch list to delivery. Awesome drone video from Nick on our sea trial as well. Boathouse Marine Center actually made it very enjoyable with this purchase and that's a great way to start off a new relationship with a new boat ! After the Sale, communication and quality service continued as Jim followed up on after purchase requests. Great job all around . Highly recommend Boathouse Marine Center. I purchased a new 33' Southport from the Boathouse. The entire process was seamless and good. This is my 3rd new boat purchase and by far the best. The Southport boat is great and has proven to be an ideal boat for our multiple uses. The service department at Boathouse has been very accommodating with my requests and time frames. Any issues have always been resolved quickly and fairly. Some of my requests have been for custom work and they have been great in fulfilling these. It has been over a year of experience with the Boathouse and I have to say that they make you feel special and part of the family. This marina has been written about for some serious legal problems see this article: http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2009-01-19/news/0901180076_1_marina-owner-dry-storage-grand-theft I wish someone had warned me! I brought my boat there to replace my engines VP 5.7 GXI's. It took them 3 months, they didn't understand the problem, couldn't get the engines (brand new!) to work and I needed to hire another outside mechanic to assist them. After not fixing the boat...they overcharged by multiple times their estimate. You couldn't write a story this bad, but it actually happened. After a sea test and some adjustments, their mechanic left the boat at the dock for me to return to later. What a shock when I put my boat into gear "forward" and it lurched in reverse! My boat smashed into the seawall and dock causing damage and freaking out my 5 year old son. Thank God he wasn't on the swim platform which got crushed. Then after all the problems I got my bill and it was HUGE! Way more than they had quoted me. They wouldn't give me my boat back when I refused to pay their outrageous invoice. I had to call BSO to get them to release the boat. I am in the process of suing them in court in Broward. Boat repairs are notoriously expensive. But usually they fix your boat, not the case here! Run don't walk away. read more

Awesome Marina!!! More full service marinas should be at the level this place operates. I own my own business and understand the importance of communication with customers. Just had my boat serviced by Curt who did an awesome job and very knowledgeable. This is not the first time I've had my boat in this year for other things and each time was a 5 star hotel rating. OMG just read a review 8/6/2017 from a Vicki....while writing this and my comment to that person is sounds like you wanted things your way and didn't get it. read more

All please heed the warning.  They are all smoke and mirrors.  I had a conversation with one of their employees today at the show and it led to this.  They don't have mechanics who know what they are doing and so admit it to customers allowing customers to go to other service providers.  They are very slow right now and have turned away a lot of work.  This person used the names of Matt and Kurt do nothing but sit around.  Matt tells customers he first has to check with Jim and Kurt tells customers we don't have qualified people to do the job and Jim has no knowledge of the marine industry.  It a case of blind leading the blind. Customers have been sold parts they don't need, incorrect diagnose, the repairs take longer than promised.  It's become a horrible place to work. Why am I writing this you ask.  I was looking at a boat to purchase and somehow got into this conversation.   You've been warned.  No comradery.   I won't be purchasing a boat from them. read more

I bought a 2006 Concept 36 CC center console from the Boathouse Marine Center in Pompano Beach, FL on January 2015. Their knowledgeable and friendly staff were willing to go the extra mile every single time. I had a bottom job done on the boat, in additional to other maintenance, and the results were nothing short of spectacular. They even filed the application for a commercial Certificate of Documentation with the USCG on my behalf. Doug Banker (Sales Manager) and Kina Naydenova (Business Manager) were the two individuals I worked with, and I highly recommend them both. A very pleasant experience overall. read more

We closed on our custom built Bluewater 2150 from Boathouse in January 2016. Our salesman, Brad Vega, was extremely attentive and professional. Thank you for everything, Brad!! read more

I have stored my 2013 Regal 25' Bow rider at the Boathouse since January 2014. we have been very impressed with the Staff, Courtesy and Professionalism. I am a Business owner with over 100 Employees and evaluate Businesses from that perspective, I had one MAJOR Complaint. My Boat had Mechanical/Computer Problems periodically for 3 years! I am not Blaming the Boathouse Staff, but it was the new service Manager Rick Buckner who went above and beyond to finally resolve the problem! A defective Factory Water Pump! Prior to Rick we were being charged for Labor and Parts and no results until Rick took over! If you need service, see Rick Buckner!!!!! TEDDY BEAR read more

I do NOT even give this place a 1 star. Took our boat there to get looked at and fixed and it sat for 2 full weeks untouched, then when they did get to it and get it fixed, they want you to come pick it up right then and there or they start charging you storage!!!!!! Total BS...... will NEVER WALK IN THAT PLACE AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY read more

This review is about the service mechanic Rick Buckner. He has lied to us and seems very shady. Do not let him on your boat. He is not capable of doing the job correctly. He worked on our boat and didn't do the job properly and we still had to pay the bill. We felt he would do more damage to our boat if we let him back on. So please save yourself the frustration. Because to him you are wrong and he is always right. Not very customer service . I hope this review will help someone, because I cannot tell you the stress and frustration he has caused us. read more

Recently purchased a used boat from Roger Whetstone at Boathouse Marine Center. I have been looking at used boats for several months and one I liked caught my attention. I made a call to Roger and he said it was still available so I made arrangements and came to look the next day, I liked what I saw so I made a deal right then and there. The whole process went as smooth as butter. I hired a surveyor to inspect the vessel before I made my final decision and Roger took the time to come in on his day off to make sure everything was done correctly, he even went to the owners house to grab the trailer and some other extra items that were included but not on site. I was also contacted after the sale was complete to make sure that everything was still good, which I was really impressed with the customer service I received. I am very happy with my purchase and the whole buying process! read more

Dishonest business! Do not go there! Purchased a gift certificate for $250 for small engine service. This amount was supposed to cover the charge. I dropped off my working 1 year old engine for a tune up and after 2 weeks they claimed it was "gummed" up and needed extra work charging $500!!! After shopping for a boat for months I stumbled into Boathouse. I was treated well and not pressured. Boathouse is not the norm for boat dealers on Federal Hwy., thank goodness! Roger W. was my salesman. He followed up with me while I was trying to make my decision. No pressure. I knew Roger had my best interest in mind. After deciding on which boat to buy Boathouse found me excellent financing. The drystack service is excellent! The guys on the dock are patient and take care of EVERYTHING for you, including filling your cooler with ice. The best part about Boathouse is how they treated me after the sale. I am treated like a friend not a customer who is past the purchase process. Everyone from Jim M. (G.M.) to the office staff has been fantastic. If I had to do it again. I would definitely buy again from Boathouse. Honest, friendly and knowledgeable people. Thank you Boathouse for a magnificent buying and boating experience! read more

This place absolutely disgusts me. I have been to this place many times and the fee I pay is very hefty every single time. The only things worse then their prices are the quality of work and the service. I have spent a life's savings in this marina, and all for nothing because when I go here to tell them to fix something, I pay a hefty price and I end up having the same problem 2 weeks after. Never ever take your boat here. It's a scam. All they wish to do is make as much profit as they can; without performing any of the services you're paying them for. If you have any problems with your boat, you're way better off taking it to another marina nearby. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM read more

Been going to this place for over 3 years and no problems at all. Dropped off boat last Tuesday and did not get boat back for til the following Monday. I know they changed service managers recently, so not sure if that is part of the problem. Upon getting my boat back I was told it was around 450.00 by the service manager. When I went to get the boat my bill was 700.00. Asked what happened to 450.00 was told I misquoted you. I later found out that the bill was going to be higher because the were going to sea trial before giving it back to me. The new service manager also said to me I need wiring work done to clean up under dash, Told him that Boathouse marine already did that last year, why do I need again. I am not saying that the work they charged me for was not done, I am saying I felt taken and will not be returning to them. Boaters beware !!!!!! read more
