I wish they had mineral water (Pelligrino, Perrier) as a beverage choice...but unsweet tea will do. Mahi fish tacos were good enough, except for a guacamole sauce that was so spicy it made me cough-- never had that experience before! There was mild salsa, as well. Fried okra was nicely prepared. It's a small place, so a large group takes some time for food preparation. Good service.

This place is 2 miles from our condo. We walked here at some lunch and took a nice walk back, 4 miles round-trip. I hope that makes up for the french fries we ate with our grilled mahi mahi sandwich and oyster po boy. :-) Everything was delicious and fresh. The waitress was super friendly and how can you beat the view. I highly recommend you give this place a try. Remember, when in Rome... meaning be sure to order seafood at a seafood restaurant!

I've always made it a point to eat here during my stays at the Prince Resort every Summer. After long, hot days on the beach when you're really tired and just want to grab a quick, tasty bite with a great view, this is a win, win. It's not perfect mind you, as the prices can be quite high for certain entrees, and the alcohol selection is rather limited, and utensils, cups, plates, etc. are all plastic and disposable, but that's just pay to play for the convenience, atmosphere and view you're getting, and what a view it is! And in my experiences, the food has been pretty fresh and tasty. I've always been happy with the food I've ordered and never had a bad experience with food or service. All things considered, it's worth the investment if convenience and ambience are a really big factor. To me, there is a very acceptable balance between convenience, food quality/service, cost and ambience as long as you temper your expectations, so it's a definite yearly go to for me.

Came in from 3 hour drive so we were tired and hungry. Party of 8 service was a little slow but they were a little short handed. Server was very polite and patient. Grilled shrimp and flounder were pretty good as well as shrimp and fish tacos. Beer menu was pretty bad best thing was corona light not a place we would hit on a good night out but served the purpose last minute.

We come here multiple times every year we're in Cherry Grove! They have great food and delicious drinks (especially the strawberry margarita). Service is typically great and fast!

This place has typical southern beach fare. Experience can really depend on who is staffing and waiting on you. We went a couple of times because it's one of the few places on the beach you can go in and grab hot food. Once the service was terrible once it was awesome. Definitely a tourist spot. Food note - have the hush puppies and the fish tacos aren't bad either

Can get seafood or burgers, sandwiches, etc. here. Good food and drinks depending on what you order, but unfortunately the customer service was subpar. (Order the seafood, they dont do well with their sandwiches) The restaurant also sits poolside of the Prince Resort and is open for customers to walk in and buy alcoholic drinks. I walked in and ordered food recently along with 2 drinks. The bartender gave me my drinks and took my order and told me that the printer had broken on her and that she'd get me to sign a receipt when I stopped back by to pick up my food. When I got back about 20min later and asked for my receipt, I realized that she had taken in upon herself to tip 15% of the entire check. I usually tip pretty good, but not necessarily to include to go food that I pick up. I would have tipped her at least for the drinks, but instead of complaining decided I would simply leave her a bad review when I realized she had decided her own worth. Dawn never had me sign anything, so I'd love to see if her signature was on my bill. Very disappointing and will definitely discourage me from going back as long as she remains there. She was also rude from the beginning, not understanding how a floater could go in a frozen dairy drink. Needless to say that was my first and last drink that day. (Assuming Dawn is the same brunette I see others complaining about here in the reviews)

This cute little cafe is right next to the Cherry Grove Pier, so if you plan on walking out there you will go right past it. There is a bar inside with some tables, but there is also a little deck with patio table or you can sit along the fence on bar stools. This is a laid back kind of place with a decent happy hour and a romantic ocean vibe. During happy hour some of their appetizers are also half off so we ordered 4 different items to compliment the 2$ cans of beer and 3$ margaritas. I believe they were serving Blue Bunny ice cream also. My son had a cup of strawberry and the server was nice enough to throw some whipped cream and sprinkles on top for us as well. I really liked it here. The staff was friendly and the view of the ocean next to the pier is great.

The Boardwalk Beach Café is a hidden gem. It sits right on a pretty part of the North Myrtle beach with a long dock that you can walk on top of the water. You have to pay two dollars to get on that dock though. The place wasn't hard to find since we just looked for the right place on Yelp close by. It already had good reviews. I could see why. The service was super nice and the food was good too. We ordered the calamari for starter, some beer and margarita. The calamari was almost like a high-end fancy restaurant level good. And the flounder sandwich I ordered was on point. It wasn't too crispy or melty. My wife's chicken sandwich was good too. Now, here's the best part. This place has an indoor side and an outdoor patio with a great view. I mean it's a view I'd pay for. But I got it for free because I ate there! So yeah, I'd go again. In fact, we did think about it. But we decided to beach hop and went to other beaches the next couple of days. If we had stayed we would have definitely went back.

I love the preparation Snooky's uses for this menu item - oatmeal and almonds for the crust. It's mouthwatering and you can't stop eating. Then if you like tartar sauce they make a Cajun sauce that is not spicy in my opinion that tops it off. The view of the ocean made the lunch enjoyable and the server we had was great. The atmosphere here was relaxing and enjoyable. Be prepared to park across the street at the overflow area but it's well worth the few extra steps. I will be back soon for this grouper sandwich.

That alone makes it worth the visit. As for the food, it was decent but didn't quite live up to the view. We tried the firecracker shrimp, oysters Rockefeller, the fresh catch sandwich of the day, and the horseradish-crusted salmon. Salmon was undercooked after ordering medium well but besides that everything was solid, but nothing really stood out or felt particularly memorable. It's the kind of menu where you won't be disappointed, but you also won't be talking about it the next day. They also included the tip for a party of 2 who sat at the bar so deducting a star for that! The drinks, though, were a different story. The cocktails were easily the next highlight. The pineapple mule was especially impressive, bright, fresh, and packed with real pineapple flavor that made it incredibly refreshing. Paired with a Grand Strand Airbrush local beer, the drinks elevated the whole experience and made up for what the food lacked. Overall, Snooky's is a great spot for the views and the cocktails. Come for the sunset, stay for the drinks!!

All seafood, meats, & produce were of high quality and prepared to perfection. I recommend the Grouper Bites as an appetizer. Took our beverage orders, returned quickly with those and water. She told us the specials which we passed on. Fred ordered fried oysters platter, I ordered an à la carte crab cake and oysters Rockefeller. Our food arrived quickly. Fried oysters were plentiful and crispy. House made chips were crunchy and delicious. My crab cake was wonderful - as close to a Maryland crab cake as I've had in a long time. Lump crab, very little bread crumbs, pan fried and served with a dollop of hollandaise. It needed some Old Bay seasoning. The Rockefeller Oysters were delicious. Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. I'd definitely return!

I've been driving by this spot for years and it's always been packed... not regular packed but…read morepeople parked in the street and the road trying to get in packed. This Thursday I was heading up with the wife to buy some fish and we decided to go for it. Of course there was zero parking with a parade of cars in the parking lot waiting to pick up food, when my wife noticed a pick up truck right in front of the place about to exit. She sped right next to the spot and jumped in before anyone realized it. We're in...or so I thought. We strolled up and there were about 35 people sitting on benches and rocking chairs under a tent right in front of the place all waiting to get in. I figured this is not going to be easy. I went up to the hostess station and asked how long for a table for two and she said 35 minutes or so. I looked at my wife and gave her my name. I had to find out what all the hub bub was about. In about 30 minutes they shouted my name and I sprinted to the front door...I wasn't about to lose my table. In we went and we're shown a nice size table in the middle of the place. It kinda reminded me of a beachy mom and pop diner. The friendly waitress came to the table right away, gave us our menus, showed us the specials board and took a drink order. The menu was simple but had some choices on it. While we were thinking, she came back with our drinks and we quickly ordered an appetizer. In this case, onion rings. A few minutes later my wife settled on a crab cake app and a salad which she asked to be combined. I went for the soup of the day(NE clam chowder) and one of the specials...pork chops(I took my grilled not fried) with 3 sides, Lima beans, okra & tomatoes stewed and green beans. The meal came with a choice of cornbread or roll. I opted for the cornbread. In a flash, the onion rings came out followed by the soup. Now I do love me some onion rings and these were fantastic. Crispy, flavorful and not stringy. The soup was home made. Creamy with bits of clam and chunks of potato. No salt or pepper was needed as it came out steaming hot and perfect. It was a meal in itself and I ended up taking 3/4 home with me(something rarely do). After a few minutes, the main course came out. My wife dug into a very large homemade crab cake, chock full of crab meat and very flavorful. She loved it. The salad was fresh and crisp. My pork chops came out and the size of the plate shocked me. Now, I almost never talk about price but my plate was $12.49 and I got two large perfectly prepared, juicy pork chops with a healthy helping of the best okra and stewed tomatoes I ever had plus absolutely delicious green beans and tasty lima beans. What a deal! The only thing that wasn't above average was the corn bread which was a tad dry and plain. Most of the regulars opted for the home made roll(and the fried chicken which was being served at every table!). I was stuffed and had trouble finishing my plate. My wife who said she was full, managed to save enough room for dessert. Now everyone was eating the homemade peach cobbler so I suggested that. My wife never had it before and was thinking about the Oreo pie, but I persuaded her and she was glad I did. Instead of the usual whip cream she wanted vanilla ice cream with it and it was a fantastic combo. The cobbler came out piping hot and crumbly with sweet chunks of peaches that paired well with the cold vanilla ice cream. She attacked it so fast that I couldn't get a picture. I broke my own rules and dipped in for a few spoonfuls and I'm glad I did. It was heavenly. The bill came and I couldn't believe how reasonable it was. Now I know why you can't get into the joint. We paid our bill and gave the super friendly waitress a nice tip and were on our way. We will absolutely be back and will try to time it a bit better so we can find parking...or we'll take an Uber...it was that good.

The fried chicken is what Chic-fil-A wishes it could be. The collards and mac & cheese are both top-shelf recipes ... to the point that my 6-yo - not usually keen on either - ate more of them than his french fries (which were also good). The peach cobbler and banana pudding weren't pretentious by any means, but they were definitely elevated compared to the average blue plate sweet course. We'll be back for some fried seafood soon!
