We go to Ducks often! We stop by and sit at the tables on the sidewalk. We jam out with Ricky T. Happy hour is from 4-8 pm. Excellent drink specials. They have wonderful tacos and wings. Large alcohol selection as well as beer buckets. This is a very popular joint for the North Myrtle Beach locals. Many pull up on their golf carts and park next to the sidewalk to listen to Ricky T and enjoy cold beer and a hot meal. I highly highly recommend Ducks. You'll have a great time here! read more

Let's start with the goods. The food tasted great , the fries were homemade and tasty. Had a lot of seats so no wait and self seating , didn't have to wait for the waitress. Ok so now the negatives. The place was UGLY the seats were something out of a AA meeting. The table tops were very cheap. The decorations were something from grandmas closet. I was in North Myrtle Beach for a weekend vacation with my in-laws and my mother-in-law had a coupon to Duck's and said it "looked like a fun place with dancing". We arrived in No. Myrtle Beach and headed out to dinner on a Sunday evening. Duck's had a few people outside but it was nearly 100 degrees so we ate inside. The decor is nothing special, very dated from the early 1980s and they have either folding chairs or patio sets to sit in. Ok, I was still willing to give it a try, of course the food had to be good then right? No, the food is overpriced, the portions stink, and the quality is poor. My wife had a shrimp caesar salad, and it was practically inedible due to the gallon of dressing they drenched the salad with. If it weren't for the few grilled shrimp up top she wouldn't have had eaten. I had a grilled Mahi special. The piece couldn't have been more than 6 oz. and was over some dry rice, not worth the $12. Overall, I was unimpressed with everything and would not consider coming back. This place should shut down the kitchen and stick to slinging beers and playing Shag. read more

The staff was warm and friendly. However, I've had better meals at a '90's mall food court. Music was too loud for a lunch cafe. My sandwich was low quality ingredients and so salty I couldn't finish. Fries were burnt. Appetizer nachos ingredients were all straight out of a can. Wow this was horrible; bad service, bad decor, and only frozen bad food. I'd say just go to the grocery store and eat in the comfort of your own home. First off It literally looked like I walked into someone's basement to eat a meal! There was random stuff everywhere; boxes all over the place, half the bar looked like it was a storage shelf for the dance club next door. It just looked really dirty and we sat in plastic folding chairs at a table that matched. The menu in the window looked great that's the only reason we stayed. I payed $15 for a kids hotdog meal and some frozen chicken tenders, needless to say I was not pleased. The bathrooms were completely gross also! Bottom line I would never eat here again. read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! You can see the food made right in front of, I saw the cook barehanded reach in to throw my soggy fries in the fryer. The fryer vents are yellow and haven't been cleaned in months. Hush puppies had a frozen crunch. The nachos had cold ground meat on top, unclassified looking meat. The lettuce and tomatoes tasted old. The waitress asked if I want chips or fries with my wrap but, reluctantly forgot mention I had to pay extra for that. It's cheap produce and meat for overpriced food. Go to McDonald's at least you know what to expect. I literally threw up after this experience. Only plus is corn hole set up. We love Ducks! We always go for Happy hour when in town. Love Tuesdays and Chris and Doug singing while relaxing outside! The $10 domestic bucket and food specials are hard to beat. This is our 3rd year to come listen to music and have a great time! read more

I live in Mooresville, NC and I come to visit North Myrtle Beach often. I saw this cafe on Main Street and decided to walk in to eat. The service is great, the waitresses work extremely hard and are also very friendly with their customers and anyone that walks in or walks by the doors. The menu for this little cafe is really easy to read, and very organized. The cooks put a lot of effort into each and every meal they cook/make. The wings and sea-food are the best here. The butterfly shrimp is absolutely delicious. It seats about 140 persons and includes a dance floor for anyone that enjoys dancing or shagging. The bar-tenders enjoy having customers that come in and talk a small conversation for the slow days or on the busy days. They always have a smile their faces. It's a great cafe a small family outing even for kids. It is kept really clean even with the sand outside from the beach and streets. The temperature inside is a comfortable. Over all, this place is really good place to eat at despite all the other restaurants close-by, where most of the service stays behind a counter and don't smile much at all. Going against the grain of past reviews, I really enjoyed Duck. Been here three times over the past three years, and it's generally an eclectic mix of locals. Ordered a burger each time, but really enjoyed each one. Beer menu is a bit concerning, but serves its general clientele. Overall, a fun atmosphere and a good, cheap burger. Kimmy was our waitress tonight and she was wonderful. She worked her butt off and took care of the entire patio. She told us about the happy hour specials so we ended up saving money on what we eat and drank. Cinnamon Crunch shot were awesome! Great live music. Shrimp caesar salad had great shrimp. That's where it ended. The lettuce was mainly wilted. Can't believe they served it like that.

Probably a nice place to sit outside have some drinks and listen to the music. As far as the food, average is the most generous compliment I could give. Our waitress was very good, but the employees do not work together.
