He didnt have to say it, it was evident that is what they were doing in my home. "Techs" dont have clear direction, there is no project manager, nobody returns calls. My house sat soaked in the water that put the fire out for a almost a month, after they finally dried the water up, it sat for SIX MONTHS COVERED IN ASH/SOOT WITH ALL OF MY DAMAGED BELONGINGS SITTING INSIDE. This company is supposed to pick up, clean, and return ALL your property (that's not destroyed) however, they left a large amount of our belongings (that sat for six months in a partially burnt home) for US to clean and store. Once they finally started construction, it has taken them almost another entire 6 months to complete. (they're still doing it as of 01/14/*23*) This company has consistently installed things in the wrong room, creating multiple holes in the drywall along the process. Don't expect any form of timely (at all honestly) communication from any project manager that works here. Chase and Edgar were amazing to work with and did a great job with my condo restoration! After a previous restoration with another contractor, I was weary of going through this again. I quickly trusted them and was really impressed with the quality of work, as well as, knowing they also cared and take pride in their quality of work. They treated my home like a home, and not just a project to get done. Chase and Edgar were very easy to work with - timely communication, any problems that arose, they were already on top of, and took time to walk through my condo with me to make sure I was happy and sasitified. Where does one start? They lack professionalism, integrity, ethics, and they don't know how to do the actual job. Poor communication with us and amongst themselves. They were hired to repair our hard wood floors from water damage. Seems simple enough. They loosened tile, damaged walls, broke brick in our fireplace, paint splattered appliances, paint splattered sink and faucet, paint splattered kitchen rugs, damaged furniture, etc. I could add more photos, but the ones below, along with a screenshot of the project manager (Brent) stating they were done and clearly satisfied with this quality of work and that our belongings would be returned, suffice for proof of their work ethic and ability. Did I mention they tried to charge us $200 for the 3 loosened tiles? Take a look at that grout work! Avoid them like the plague. They are worse than the plague. They increased their bill by several thousands despite my husband and I doing most of the repairs. They charged $300+ for a dumpster that was never brought on location or used. No, instead they used my kitchen trash can. Our security cameras caught the lies told to us by the project manager (Thank goodness for nanny cams and Ring!), and we clocked their time and work. In an effort to just be done with them, avoid arbitration, and move on with our lives, we settled. If your insurance recommends them, ask for another preferred contractor and maybe find a different insurance company. If you're stuck with them, make sure to document EVERYTHING. Monitor the work. Take before photos so you have something to compare, but honestly, just save yourself the headache and damages to your home and belongings and find someone else. read more

First visit from adjuster was a cancellation. Said their child had some emergency at school. Then I called and texted when I never heard back. Finally reached the same adjuster that was supposed to come out. Said she'd have someone fix the leaking tarp that was put up and was retaining a tremendous amount of water so two guys came to puncture the tarp. Another waiting game. She finally responded and came out and took pictures and I never heard back. Nothing! I called and texted as to the status of when repairs could start. No response. Finally, after some time of no response, we were forced to find another company to help us. I texted her this and she responded right away and apologized they never moved forward but they were SO busy with homes with storm damage. SERIOUSLY LADY?? Why do you think I hired you??!! ‍ I'm running into the same issue with the new company. No one wants to work unless you've got tons of money they can make. They act like they give a %#* and then do no shows. So here we are two months out from two trees falling on the corner of my house and NO-ONE cares or wants to do an honest days pay. I have used Blackman Mooring for at least 10 years because of the professional manner of their workers. I still believe that they are doing a good job of cleaning my carpets but it appears that their training for dealing with customers has fallen. The workers seem to be more concerned with what they can't do than what the can do. I am not sure that they listened to s thing I requested. read more

Fire damage to our house in January. Was going to need electrical rewiring, siding, brick, walls painted, new carpet, etc. BM was nice at first but what was supposed to take 2-3 months took over 5 months. There were many weeks at a time when NO ONE was at the property working! It was like they couldn't find workers or my house was not a priority at all. They hijacked me the last week when doing carpet install saying it was going to be over $3500 change order or else they'd put a generic color down. I know we checked with carpet vendor that we were within the price range. They broke things during the move back in and a couple of electronics went missing-- and conveniently they don't have pics of those items so of course "they didn't take them". They preferred to communicate via text instead of in person or talking to me on the phone. The contractor Sean was not interested in having us do any extra work to upgrade the house so he never provided quotes when I asked, picked out the new fireplace himself without asking me, and it was just nice to see the tail-end of him. Now 6 months later they want the deductible payment so they can close it out before the New Year. I asked for their invoice in July and several times since then. I want to invoice them for the emotional trauma they piled on to an emotionally traumatic event for my family. I don't wish it on anyone. read more

I had a loss at my house and the folks from Blackmon Mooring came to do the inspection, they were supposed to prepare an estimate, and then they were supposed to do the repairs. 3 weeks after they came to the house- nothing was done. No estimate and no repairs. The representative was poor at responding and it ultimately caused me to end my connection with them. Bottom line- stay away from this company because they clearly don't get the concept of providing professional services for their customers. read more

If your looking for tree removal this is NOT the company you want to hire! They brought inappropriate equipment for the job( too small of a chain saw and a rope that was too worn and lightweight) for the job. They dropped a huge tree (about 24" diameter )on our house causing more than 2x the destruction to our house, pavestones, fence, lighting, another tree, ect without even an apology and refused to even trim a single dead branch to make a standing tree look manicured. The workers were calling us us "loco" and making obscene gestures from our rooftop. We complained to the representative Eduardo Hernandez, he first said that he would contact someone to come out and trim up the damaged tree, then said if we found someone to trim the tree he would take the amount off of the invoice, in the meantime he was saying he would do whatever it took to make us happy and then we got the old brush off. He refused to give us his supervisor info when we asked for it and I found out that he has now quit taking our insurance adjuster's calls. This was on July 17, we've waited so long to place this review to give them a chance to remedy some of the problems. read more

Outstanding Customer Service. Had a sewer backup and my entire first floor was flooded. They immediately responded and are in the process of mitigating the damage. Unfortunately the work had to be halted due to possible asbestos. But they come to the house daily to check the status of the machines, moisture levels etc. Very happy my insurance company sent out this great firm. I would pick no stars if possible! After a tornado they came and packed out the rest of my house, big mistake! My belongings not only came back dirtier than when they left, after a tornado, some didn't come back at all. I unrolled one of my rugs to find glass and Sheetrock still inside! The same with the other rugs. Things were broken, they didn't care at all. It was very obvious once they received the insurance money (25,000.00 +), that was the only thing they cared about. I still do not have all my belongings back and their only response, when they respond is "sorry we can't find them." I would never recommend this company for anything! I feel very taken advantage of, they definitely prey on people who are devastated by a nature disaster, they do not have any ethics. If this company is an option for you, run away fast! Still no resolve on our missing belongings. As I go through the boxes I'm finding more and more to be missing. This process has been heartbreaking. We were offered only 500.00 for our belongings, that they lost! How insulting. One tragedy after another. Well, it is now October and still no response from them. We still are missing belongings, broken furniture and can not get a return call. I am not sure what to do from this point other than contact an attorney. But, they got their money so why should they care about happens after that. This company tried to swindle us. We had a flood and called their "emergency crew." By the time they arrived we had most of the water cleaned up. They quoted us at $2500 and claimed that we had extensive water damage on the floor and drywall. They also suggested that we'd have serious mold problems. I had another company come the next day to look at things. We walked around the entire first floor with a moisture meter and were able to determine that very little of the drywall or floors were saturated enough to merit restoration or mold treatment. They tried to take advantage of us when we were panicked. I don't appreciate that. read more

We had major plumbing work done and it was not tapped up properly so concrete dust was all over the house. Blackmon Mooring came out and was able to start cleaning the day after the plumbing work stopped. The concrete dust had gone into the duck work so they ended up cleaning both floors of our house along with the duck work. I am so pleased with the results. After spending two weeks in a hotel while the plumbers work I was ready to go home. After seeing the concrete dust I was afraid to go home but after Blackmon was done you could not tell the concrete dust had even been there. read more

My hot water heater busted and flooded the downstairs. I had no idea what to do! My insurance company recommended this company and I am so pleased with their recommendation. There were a few issues with scheduling, mainly because I am teacher. Of course, this happened the last week of school! However, they worked with me. Also, they were over to my house within an hour of my call to them. They handled everything directly with my insurance company. The house was dried out within a week! The Horror of Blackmon Mooring Duct Cleaning Services On the day of the service, I watched the two technicians fumble while trying to find tools and other items on their truck and explaining to me that they couldn't find the right tools or whips on the truck because it wasn't the truck they usually used. Later, while watching the technicians I became concerned with the process, which at that time they were only using a long ShopVac hose to remove the dust stirred up by the small whip. I called and talked with the service manager to make sure the proper cleaning protocol was being followed; prior to their visit I had researched best practices from professionals for using duct cleaning whips and centrifugal vacuums to properly evacuate dust and particles from solid HVAC ducts. I complained to the service manager and asked him why the crew wasn't using the centrifugal vacuum, a few minutes later the service manager called his crew, the crew finally brought out the large centrifugal vacuum to evacuate the dust. The technicians seemed a little aggravated that they had received a call from their supervisor. In combination of spraying a chemical called Microban and maybe some other chemical not allowing the product to dry sufficiently, the product was blown throughout our home. I was then told I would have to leave the home for two hours after the treatment. When I returned, I noticed a strong smell in the home and a dusty, slightly oily feel to the furniture in my house, evidently the product was blown throughout our home that left an acidic chemical like odor on our furniture and walls. We called Blackmon Mooring again to speak to the supervisor, at which time we we're told he was out of the office and would call us back. We did not hear from the supervisor for two more days after our call. After two days the smell had not dissipated and seemed to get stronger throughout our home, we were even noticing the smell on our clothing. We called Blackmon Mooring again and they (the general manager) told us they had never experienced any issues with the product they used and that the cause must be caused by something else. At this time we did not know what could be causing the issue but had decided that since Blackmon Mooring wasn't concerned with investigating the issue. Being told that the problem was not their responsibility and that it could not have been caused by the treatment Blackmon Mooring did, we set off to find other reasons for the odor. All-Mold Pro later informed us that the problem was due to the moderate to high level of formaldehyde and acetone, probably caused by the Microban and gave us two solutions to remedy the situation, one was to continue cleaning the house as we had been doing, which also included raising the temperature of the house and opening the windows in hopes of performing a "Burnout" of what chemical smell there was, the second was also to have the house remediated with a product called MDF-500 by a professional which would cost $5000.00 - $10,000.00 dollars. We continued trying to clean the home on our own and performed the burnout process. During that period we had also tried to hire the services of Armstrong Forensics. After speaking on several occasions and divulging the name of the company "Blackmon Mooring" the individual chemist/doctor at their location and explaining the situation and the company responsible, we were told the company could not help us. By this time my wife had started feeling dizzy, nauseous and forgetful and I noticed that when she walked through the house she appeared to be staggering, I had also begun to feel slightly disoriented. She and I had also started feeling a burning sensation, much like the kind you get when you have sunburn. After a couple of more weeks of cleaning the house in this fashion, my wife had built up such a sensitivity to whatever Blackmon Mooring sprayed into the house that she could not be in the house for more than 10-15 minutes without beginning to feel ill. We then decided to forward our complaint to the Better Business Bureau of Arlington (the Joke). Soon after posting the complaint, the vice president of operations called me on my cell phone and had expressed a concern with the complaint with the BBB and had asked if they were some type of equable solution we could come to. After receiving the reports the vice president said that they had decided to handle the complaint through the BBB and their insurance company, AIG. We are now back in our home after 4 months and spending thousands of dollars to save our home, much of our personal belongings are gone, what we have been able to save has cost us dearly and the company Blackmon Mooring has yet to accept responsibility for the mishandling of the product. Additionally my wife and I have become highly sensitive to chemicals scents and odors. read more

Blackmon Mooring did a nice job on my duct cleaning but I also sent an area rug back with them for cleaning. The rug wasn't in great condition to being with - it had a small hole and pet stains on the back. When the rug was returned to me, I couldn't even tell it had been cleaned. While I was examining the rug, the driver was in an obvious hurry to leave. After he left, I shook out the rug and fibers and dust fell out of it so I called and let the operator know that I wasn't happy with the "cleaning" job at all. She advised someone would call me back and that never happened. No one even cared enough about my opinion to even return a call from an unhappy customer! Unbelievable. I moved with the rug and by the time we got to our destination the stench was overwhelming so now it's sitting in my garage waiting for the trash to pick it up. I would have appreciated Blackmon Mooring calling me at the very least to let me know the rug was beyond repair instead of charging me for the "cleaning". Representative was shocked that I bothered to call and ask where they were. They were in Dallas and were not even ready to head 20 miles to my home. Obviously Blackmon Mooring has become another large arrogant company too important and impressed with themselves to call their clients and let them know of a delay. What the heck was the firm appointment for? I have a life and had other appointments to tend to. Blackmon Mooring will not be on my service company list --- there IS competition out there. read more

After scheduling an appointment for 8:30 a.m. for carpet repair and cleaning, they did not send the repair person with the cleaning person. The repair work could not be done while the carpet was wet so they left with no work done. James, who apparently schedules appointments, was in a meeting and was going to call when it concluded at approximately 1:00. The realtor finally called at 4:20 to discover that they would not be back to my home until after 5:00. A bit late for an 8:30 appointment!! My roof had to be replaced. The beading around my windows were damaged by hail and caused the windows to leak,which in turn caused damage to the drywall around the inside of the windows and this all had to be redone. I filed a claim with my insurance company and picked a contractor from their list. Unfortunately I chose Blackmon Mooring-one of the biggest mistakes of my life. My project was assigned to a claims adjuster that came out and inspected the damages. He gave me his sales pitch and of course promised me the sun moon and stars that this project would be handled professionally and completed in a reasonable time. That was on June 5th and my repairs are still not finished. After the contract was signed I had to call and beg to have a project manager assigned to my case. After that finally happened I was scheduled for a day to start the re-roofing. That day came and went without anybody showing up or even calling me to explain the delay.I called them and was then scheduled another day for start. That day came and went. Once again I called and was again scheduled and that day came and went and still nobody showed up to start the work and no phone call explaining the delay. Needless to say I was extremely mad. Finally five days after the third time scheduled and no shows supplies were delivered to my home. The supplies were placed on my grass on the side of my house, When I say supplies I am talking enough of heavy shingles to cover a two story home,plus ladders,plywood vents and turbines. The work was not started this day and once again no one called to explain why. One week later the work was finally started. The roof took two days which was understandable but needless to say I had dead grass along the entire one side of my home. I was told that the fork-lift that delivered the shingles could not get to the roof because I had to many trees surrounding the house. Do you not think that the adjuster would not have taken note of this when he did the inspection? My ten high trees surrounding my hose did not grow over night. Then the disaster inside started. The windows were repaired but oh what a mess with the painters. They had paint splattered everywhere,even in rooms they didn't have to repair. Paint was splattered on my china buffet in my formal dining room and they did not clean any of it up. My window above my bathtub has a ledge which was also to be painted and they forgot that until I pointed it out and they were in such a hurry to get done that day that they took five minutes and threw some paint on it without cleaning up the mess from the repair. They just painted over it. I myself spent two hours after they left cleaning up their mess and repainted the ledge. A panel of my garage door was to be replaced because the hail dented it. They simply painted it and did not take out the dent. My deck is speckled with clumps of tar from the roofers. On the day the roofers started I told them the deck would need tarp to cover it because in May I paid $900.00 to have it power washed,primed and stained and they promised me that it would be covered with plastic-that never happened and now my deck is a mess. All of the turbines and vents on the top of the roof were covered with screen to keep out the critters since I do have a squirrel and racoon problem due to the wooded area behind my home. I was promised that the new ones would be screened also-that did not happen. After many phone calls and angry conversations about all these problems (two weeks later) I was contacted by a member of Blackmon Mooring that was assigned to the project to make sure that all the mentioned problems would be addressed. That was one week ago and I am still waiting for someone to contact me to repair the problems they created.Why am I putting all this on social media? I hope to save others from having to go through the horrendous experience that I had to endure. I will fight to the end and I will not pay them a penny until my home is in the same condition it was in before they started their repairs.A project that was to be completed in seven days has now taken almost three months. Awful! My house caught fire a month ago tomorrow. They came and gave the sales pitch when the house was still smoking and me being my ignorant self to all this signed paperwork. They packed up and took almost everything out quickly BUT left the refrigerator in with food and to specify meats in it as well. I found the home full of flies which also meant maggots two weeks later. Their excuse was I didn't sign the "contents" contract. My question to them was how am I supposed to know if your company has zero contact with me. Needless to say they now have all our stuff and will not return my calls. I am very unhappy!! read more

They tie up with insurance companies, pay the adjustors huge referral commission and do everything to get all the money from your claim. Jeff Key one of the sales guy I dealt with is just a crook and a painful person to work with. he makes false promises and does not keep his word. He is extremely poor in his communication and never returns emails or hone calls. He is ONLY after your money. His management is also like him and you guys will regret using them. read more

The previous carpet cleaning company did not do a very good job and in fact my carpet appeared dirtier than it was before they came to clean it! My carpet looks new again and smells fresh.
