I got notified when the guy called me because he went to the HOA office, since he didn't have my unit number. The HOA wouldn't have known anything even if someone was there since I own my condo and am responsible for the inside. The guy arrived, walked around inside with his dirty boots, and only peaked into my vents which were my main concern. He did test the stains in my ceiling with what I assume was a device that measures moisture. Then he said "I have everything" and left.
