Fresh food though most dishes are bread-associated. More salads would be appreciated. Fresh fruit, too. Ready made coffees - even dark roast - not robust. I guess you have to order a specialty drink like espresso to get a strong cup of coffee. Place is noisy. Stumbled upon this coffeeshop after needing some caffeine prior to going to work. Here at Boulevard Coffee they sell sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches (made to order), sweet and savory crepes, paninis and espresso drinks. The sandwiches up with your  choice of whole grain, sour dough, croissant and bagel. The breakfast sandwiches are served on bagel or croissant. They also have a breakfast plate were it has 2 eggs scrambled, selection of fresh veggies topped with cheese, avocado, tomatoes and salsa with toast! While I was here, I saw someone order it and it looked good. hey currently have a FALL DRINKS menu: Pumpkin pie latte Caramel pumpkin macchiato S'mores latte Pumpkin or maple chai Marshmallow pumpkin shaken espresso Maple cinnamon latter (fn favorite) The espresso drinks come with a single or a double. So far I've tried the maple cinnamon latter and the cinnamon twist- and so far they've been 5/5~ If you want to get some work done, it's spacious inside. Came here for a quick coffee and brekkie and it was delicious! Their iced pumpkin latte with oat is my new favorite. If you're looking for a bite, crepes are the way to go. The Giovanni was perfectly made and came with avocado and an over easy egg. Their pangini panini was also pretty good! I definitely don't recommend ordering a Cubano iced since it was a little on the acidic side, and didn't taste super sweet. This is in my neighborhood. It's definitely gone down hill. It's popular but honestly there are other better places for good coffee. This is not a one time bad experience but a trend I've noticed over the last several years. First time back in a while and Im still running into the same problems. Last time they have me brown avocado all over my toast, I guess to solve the issue they decided to give me 3 single pieces thrown into my box? I mean at least the quality is better, but you might wanna remove your menu picture if this is what your staff decides to give us. On top of that I wasn't given the lemon sauce for the bagel. I took a bite thinking maybe they had just put it on before hand.... Nope. Next time I'll skip the not so special soggy bagel and just stick with some coffee. Almaden was fortunate when BLVD came to town. After years and years of businesses unable to succeed in this location, BLVD went above and beyond to establish themselves and take over 2 spots! It is a delightful, local coffee/tea house with another location in Los Gatos. The large, expansive windows provide a wonderful open feeling. They have delicious food, treats, and coffee/teas. During the holidays, they have specialty coffee/teas they create as well. Some absolute favorites are the Italian Garden Crepe and the Mexican Mocha. There is so much to try and love! read more

In house crepes, pastries and more! My husband has high standards for almond croissants and while Blvd Coffee isn't the top choice (Sorry, Manresa is unbeatable), it's in the top 10! Fighting for top three. The Lattes are delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Plenty of space for families or an intimate one on one with a girlfriend. Since it's a little away from Coleman or Almaden Expressway, the car noise level is fairly low. There is outdoor seating, so if you really want you can sit your leashed dog next to you and sip your Mexican Mocha. read more

Today, My wife & I went to Blvd to enjoy an espresso coffee & breakfast on Father's Day. I ordered a coffee with a shot of espresso. The espresso was brewed into a ceramic cup & looked to be very little espresso. When I bought this up to the manager, she showed no interest in listening to me & said "that's just the way we do it here." She offered me another shot, which was less than the first shot. I've been in the commercial & retail coffee business for over 20 years. A true espresso shot should be 7 grams of espresso coffee which typically yields 1.5 oz per shot. Each shot barely equated to a half an ounce. I observed how the make the shot & to my trained eye, they used 3 grams of espresso & then add sugar in the raw to make up the difference in the portafilter. Additionally, this is not mentioned on their menu board & I'm diabetic. This also made me feel like I was paying for what I ordered. With all my experience, I have never heard or seen such a practice. I thanked them for the extra hot & the barista said..."next time don't come in so hot." This reply so rude & uncalled for, so I basically ignored her to avoid escalating the situation. My wife & I frequent Blvd Coffee w/friends on a regular basis. This morning the place was a mess with dirty floors, tables not being property cleared & cleaned & garbage cans over flowing. Because of how we were treating & the place being in disarray, this will be the very last time we'll patronize this business. While not one of my top coffee shops, I feel this place has a lot of potential. It is spacious, has a good amount of seating, with a great selection of food - including pastries, breakfast sandwiches and a great place to go for crepes. They make a very good coffee, my favorite being the cinnamon twist latte - in fact sometimes I come here just because I crave that . I feel it could be a much more exciting place than it is with a little bit of work -. The furniture seems a little worn and I feel that more effort could be put into how furniture is laid out, it feels a little jumbled. However with a little effort this place could be made very welcoming and comfortable - it certainly has the potential! But don't let this keep you away, the coffee is very enjoyable and the crepes are excellent and the service is always very good. read more

I used to love this place and rave about it to all my friends but probably won't go again. First off I've NEVER had a good coffee from here. It's always flavorless and just tastes like straight milk no espresso. The crepes are mid now they don't even come with the fixings on it anymore which made me sad when i opened up my box. Blvd Coffee has been our favorite stop for years. It's a lovely place for a quick bite and the neighborhood gathers to study and catch up together. The food itself isn't a huge wow factor (except the Blueberry Scones), but the coffee and the environment it provides is always comforting. Although I wasn't able to experience this atmosphere during the quarantine, our family ordered Blvd for a nice simple lunch. Out of the ones I tried: Turkey Pesto Sandwich, Ham and Cheese Sandwich, Egg and Ham Bagel, and The Sunny Day Panini, I would recommend the classic Ham and Cheese. The rest were solid, except the Sunny Day which was rather sour. The Giovanni Crepe itself was very thin and had little filling inside. The highlight of this meal was the Blueberry Scones! They are amazing and everyone should try them. The blueberries themselves are so fresh that they explode in your mouth as you chew, and the bread is very soft and light. I look forward to being a part of the Blvd atmosphere again once the pandemic ends. read more

Took 40 minutes to get our bagels made. When we ordered we ordered bagel sandwiches on jalapeño bagels. We started to see other people's orders come out but not ours and specifically for people who came after us. After 20 minutes of waiting, they came to us and said they had ran out of jalapeño bagels. Offered us other options that were sub par. We waited an additional 20 minutes for our food to come out. They have outdoor seating but don't sanitize their tables after each person/group. Really disappointed in this experience and this business. I understand these are sensitive times but it's no excuse to have your customers waiting for almost an hour .... indoors... during covid. This place isn't of all baked goods by 9 am despite them having a full bakery within the facility. Ordered a breakfast plate and they were out of all jams and wanted to charge me for a muffin of bagel. Bad customer service and the manager "Seth" is rude AF. He was telling me that I should not expect to have jam with toast because they "are a cafe and not a restaurant"! Huh!! They serve food. Who cares what the official classification is. This place is such a gem in the Almaden Valley. I came here for the first time on a Sunday morning as a break from a bike ride. With covid-19, they only allow a certain amount of people in the store. There's also plenty of space to practice social distancing. So far, I've had their vanilla latte and cubano. I really do like the cubano, which definitely gives you a jolt of energy. There are plenty of non-dairy options, such as oat milk, soy milk, etc. I def wanna check out their other drinks, such as cop car, next time. read more

I live in Almaden and let's just be honest, we don't have much. There is no downtown area like every other town. So, when Blvd. Coffee came on Meridian and Redmond, I was excited! The coffee is AMAZING! I like their lattes, Copcar, and Monte Mocha (this last one is not on the menu). The baristas are friendly and you get a feeling that they generally care about you and converse with you. You don't feel like "next!" I am all about a good conversation and supporting a small family-owned business. Their coffee is one of my favorites. They are providing to go coffees during this crazy time in our life. read more

Overall: decent offerings and great location for a lowkey weekend brunch. They have the standard small coffeeshop fare (crepes, pastries, coffee, tea), for about the same prices as other shops in the area. Nothing super special about it. Food, 2/5: I got the iced Cop Car (espresso + dark and white chocolate), and I do have to say it was a lot sweeter than I expected from a coffee-based drink (tasted more like a hot chocolate than anything else, honestly). My friend got the Mexican mocha, which was pretty solid and not nearly as sweet. The strawberry Nutella crepe was just that, a kind of soggy crepe with too much Nutella and somewhat melted whipped cream on the side. Location, 4/5: the plaza this place is located in is usually half filled at most, so finding parking is awesomely easy, even at 11 am on a Sunday (which is when we went). Service, 4/5: this is a "order at the counter, then seat yourself" kind of a place. The people manning the counter are pretty nice and friendly, but there were so few waitstaff actually bringing out plates of food... the two who were working there looked really rushed most of the time. read more
