We were actually ahead of the schedule for the photographer because she was so great and worked hard to keep everyone on track. She was so kind and professional to all of the wedding party. After searching for a stylist that was not outrageously priced, yet was highly reviewed, I hired…read moreJessica. Her prices were slightly less than some stylists I contacted. During the trial she did two hair styles, neither was 100% what I wanted, but she planned to do things from each of the styles. She did my airbrush make-up, with false lashes, during the trial as well. After doing a trial with Jessica, I had concerns that my hair would not be exactly like I would want it, which was a true vintage style with 2-3 large pin curls and a high/big swooped bang (think vintage hollywood), but after spending $205 on the trial ($100 hair, $105 make-up), I hesitated to book another stylist. The day of my wedding Jessica arrived on time and did hair and make-up for my mom, sister, younger cousin and myself. Everyone's hair and make-up turned out well and Jessica did do touch-ups prior to leaving. My hairstyle turned out very well and I had many compliments on the vintage look. Jessica nailed it! She did however, leave before helping us place my veil into my style. My mom and sister handled it, but we were disappointed she left without helping; she did practice with it during the trial. We have received our wedding photos and video and I was disappointed to see that in photos taken 1 hour after my hair style was completed, the curl/bobbypin was falling out and sticking off my head at a 90 degree angle (we were not running, in the wind, etc.). This may be minor, but when I paid over $200 for a stylist, I'd expect my hair to hold for that time. Thankfully my mom and sister were able to fix it when I arrived to the ceremony site. Several other photos post-ceremony also have hair in the back falling out of the pins, which was very disappointing. The other's hair and make-up held fairly well throughout, but did have a few pins fall out as well. Overall I was happy the day of (which is what mattered), but disappointed after seeing the photos (which is what we have forever).

Kelley is the best hair girl ever! I showed her my inspo pic and my dress at my first appointment before my bridal portraits and she absolutely delivered. She was such a joy to sit and talk with too, it was like we weren't even strangers and had been friends since childhood. She made me feel so comfortable the whole time and I cannot say enough great things about her! I will definitely be coming back to her for more help with future portraits! Also - my hair stayed all through dancing on the dance floor plus going out on Rainey after! (I even went down the slide at Unbarlievable and nothing fell ) my husband was incredibly impressed by the end of the night that it was still nearly perfect when he had to take all the Bobby pins out of my hair LOL Rhea!! She is the BEST. I'm not a make up guru or glam girl by any means and I've always struggled as a bridesmaid in past weddings bc I ask for a neutral look and it never turns out how I want or like. I'm a bare minimum make up girly, so I don't enjoy feeling cakey with a full face of makeup. Let me tell you - I asked for a neutral look that would still make me feel like a beautiful and she did amazing! I felt like I was glowing all day and night and I got so many compliments! Thank you to this amazing human that is so talented and helped make me feel like the most beautiful person in the room I'm not kidding when I say that I've had multiple people ask me who my hair and make up team was because they want to use them in the future. I'm a bridesmaid in an Indian wedding in September and will be working with these ladies again BOOK THEM IN ADVANCE!! They are way too good and will be booked if you wait too long!

As for my hair, I asked for a teased, bohemian braid, and my stylist not only nailed the vision but personally threaded tiny flowers throughout. This place does show being closed on Mondays, so I guess I understand them not answering . The other time I called was the today, Tuesday , in which they say they're open. I was interested in getting my makeup and hair done for a work Christmas party. This place has decent reviews, and is right by my house. However, no one has contacted me back,so I'm now I'm scrambling and needing to go elsewhere. I figure,if you're a legitimate business, with a phone number and your business hours show as open, that you should answer the call or at least return voicemails left on your Google phone number with an Austin area code - that make it look like you're using to try and make yourself appear legit in this area. Austin has no shortage of good hair stylists, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. It is unfortunate, but that's how it goes when businesses don't respond to potential new clients. Updated review: Ally called me and explained why she didn't call back sooner. She also let me know the names and phone numbers of other stylists she's worked with in the past for similar things to what I was looking for! Pretty nice of her to do! Thanks Ally!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS Makeup Artist!!!…read more I found Cassie online while searching for a makeup artist in the Austin area. Her page on style seat, https://www.styleseat.com/m/book/v/MakeupCassie had incredible makeovers. I was eloping in 4 weeks to the Austin area. I needed someone who was mobile and could meet me at 9AM on a Sunday morning. She obliged and sent me a quote and the deposit amount. This all transpired over the holidays so I didn't see her email until after the holidays. I apologized and sent her the payment. She was like no problem. I have you down. She arrived at the location Sunday morning ready to get to work. She came prepared with everything i.e. suitcase full of toner, concealer, moisturizer, makeup, brushes, powder, lashes, lamps, lipsticks, glosses. You name it, she had it. I felt like a movie star. Cassie is personable, warm and like the girl next door. She is very gentle on your face and she helps you to relax so she can do her work. She explains as she goes along. This Bridal session was worth every last penny. I have locked her in my phone. I'll have to see if I can talk her into coming to DFW to take care of my makeup needs in the future. YES, she was that good. She knows her makeup and she knows what she is doing. I trust Cassie with my face and ladies you know we don't say that often. Two days later and my face still looks fine. I have sensitive skin and I don't have any breakouts or rashes. So that means she uses quality products as well. I wanted a natural look but yet beautiful with soft tones for my outdoor wedding up in the hills. She did that and more. My makeup was beautiful and not caked on my face. It lasted all day. Tracy was FANTASTIC - So chill to be around, excellent at hair and really affordable. She met us at…read morethe hotel where my two bridesmaids and I were watching the World Cup while getting ready for my wedding a couple of weeks ago. She started on a bridesmaid's hair first, then moved onto me (the other bridesmaid did not get her hair done). We looked great. One of the challenges with me is that I was a laid back bride and was not able to give a real concrete description of what I wanted. I had some general ideas of what I liked; something natural (no extensions), and something vintage (think Ingrid Bergman from the 40s) was really all the direction I gave her. Other challenges include having fine, curly hair that barely meets my shoulders. We had no trial run due to my busy schedule. And what she came up with on the spot was perfect. I couldn't be happier. (FYI - I did my own make up later on that day. if I can figure out how to post pictures, I will.)

Tracy was my makeup artist for my wedding in May 2009 and she did both mine and my mom's make up…read moreand hair for the special occassion. She also did the makeup for the bridal portrait. I chose Tracy over other makeup artists I had interviewed because she was open minded, creative and takes your concerns very seriously. She also works very well under pressure. My skin tone is yellowish since I am Chinese and I had always dreaded the brown eye makeup because the red makes me look like I have my eye punched. For my wedding, I wanted something colorful or very flattering of course. I love purple, gray, dark moss eye shadows and Tracy suggested purple to match my flowers. The other makeup artist simple refused to entertain the idea of non-brown eye shadow! I also wanted a ponytail like hair do instead of a big bun on top of my head. Tracy didn't even bat an eye lash and went at it during my trail session. My hair is very fine and straight. She curled with hot rollers and did her magic with some spray and made my borning straight hair into a modern pony tail with body and some delightful curls. The makeup and hair lasted all day and I called the next day to formally book her. On the wedding day, we were running a little bit behind because of various reasons that were not out of ordinary. My wedding planner (whom I will never recommend to anyone) was very rude to her. Asking her to hurry up. We were really not that late. I was not sure what the big deal was. Tracy ignored the rudeness and kept on going. She did my mom's makeup and hair first. It was a wonderful transformation. My mom is not used to hair or makeup at all. She is always very bare minimal. The hiccup was my mom's hair. It is chin length and permed. Instead of doing the total MOM hair do of making the perm more puffy. Tracy made it into an elegant updo!!!!! I LOVED IT. Mom was skeptical until all of her friends told her how good it looked. My mom's makeup was also understated but highlighted her features: eyes and cheekbones. My mom looked years younger! Tracy did my hair and makeup just like the trail run. She put on my veil and stayed throughtout the photo session before the ceremony to touch up my makeup. (there was a huge drama with a storm that the planner was not prepared for and Tracy sat there with me as a friend to calm me down!) I never had this many compliments. I guess people are supposed to compliment you on your wedding day. But I think they meant it. My makeup and hair lasted from 3pm to 3am! I have after party pictures to prove it! You really cannot get any better than Tracy who would come to you, do both hair and makeup, put up with your mom, wedding planner, and be a friend while touching up your makeup.
