It becomes a FRIZZ-head when not properly cut and shaped. More I like my Red hair LONG. This was indeed a challenge for Me, the first meeting of a new stylist! Melanie is the most appeasing and soothing person, with a Gentle touch. Redheads are known for their sensitivity and RED Temper, contradictions! Melanie, when she washed my hair, her fingers touched my tender head with thorough "Merciful" fingers, then converged through my long FRIZZ hair. It has been over a decade of years since I could find an "adequate" hair stylist, more a knowledgeable Stylist who is not daunted by curly fizzy hair. Soothing and comforted.....what a great combination. MIRACLES do happen! More, I wanted to keep all that hair long as possible, HUGE CHALLENGE!! Melanie did not flinch instead - confidence exuded; she knows how to create miracles. Asked questions, mapped out her skills with her shampoos, conditioners and scissors. Melanie is soft spoken, likes to laugh, and when I sat in her chair, with my Service Dog whom Melanie was very wise and accommodating, bringing my Service Dog a beautiful soft blanket for her to lie on. What great treatment. Melanie washed and conditioned my hair and trimmed all the RED FRIZ away and still I have longish hair. I can't say enough about my experience. When entering the warm Hether's Salon, I was immediately greeted, sat in a comfy chair, allowed to be quiet, (this is so nice of them cuz of my Sweet beautiful Service Dog draws attention!) Hether's and Melanie are Keepers, they understand and perfect hair, they Listen to their customer needs. Lots of parking on the streets, and lots of stores and possibly some good eats around Arvada after some comfy treatment. Hether's is conveniently located on frontage street, when arriving you are in for a Treat!! Thank you Melanie!!! Shauna is simply the best. I have long hair with layers and partial highlights. I scheduled an appointment to just have my roots touched up. I was hesitant to also have my hair trimmed as my last experience resulted in the stylist taking a lot more off my hair than I wanted. Sigh. Anyway, Shauna was understanding to my hesitation. She also showed me the layers in the back of my head were crooked. Double sigh. She not only fixed the layers, she cleaned up the ends without sacrificing my length. Nikay (Nicole) is the one who cut my hair and…read moreafter a thorough talk where I showed two reference photos and explained that I wanted more shaping and layers but to maintain my overall length so to only cut off 2 - 2 1/2 inches (THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A TRIM AND SHAPING) she instead took 6 inches off of my hair. I have now lost half of my length that I spent 10 years growing out and I am beyond devastated. This same hairdresser now claims that this is in fact what I asked for and that she actually tried to tell me not to go shorter. Absolutely disgusting service. Upon calling for a refund, I was treated rudely, told that I was lucky that my reference picture was not followed and that the way my hair was cut was in fact what I asked for. I was even told that the way it was cut was a "conservative" decision. My hair should have been cut HOW I ASKED NOT WHAT YOU THOUGHT WAS IN MY "BEST INTEREST". I was offered half a refund if I took my reviews down. Alongside this, my before photos all apparently aren't accurate by their standards and the difference between before and after is in fact 2 inches..I would rather everyone know how bad of an experience I had than get my money back. I will gladly never return!
