I have been going to Blush for my hair for 4 years. I've got coarse, thick Asian hair which I've been told it takes some extra expertise to manage, but Blush has that expertise and has done an amazing job with my hair. I went from straight up black to platinum blonde, kept the blonde for about a year, and then have been copper for nearly 3 years and did it all at Blush, first with Searra and then with Megan. They listen to my hair goals and give their knowledge and input as well to achieve the best look for me. My hair has been healthy throughout all of the dying and root touch-ups. Meghan also recently gave me curtain bangs, which I love! The place is always clean and the decor is really cute. Making appointments is easy. And I think prices are very reasonable! read more

I was at Blush today for one of their specials. My 30 minute facial was fine. I was a bit disappointed with the pedicure, but not for the gal who took care of me. For someone who has mobility problems like myself the step up to the pedicure bowl and where they work on you is way too high. I should've just walked out when I saw it, I'm telling you it was at least 10 inches to step up and step down which is a hazard to some people like myself. I fell kind of slid down and bent my leg getting down and she helped me up. If you are elderly, do not go to this place to get a pedicure. read more

Blush has been my chosen salon for all of my beauty needs since 2011. The professionals are amazing and I've always had a fantastic experience! There are some older reviews with some complaints. Blush, like other salons has not been without its management and front desk hiccups. They have been on a great path with consistency in both of these areas for about 5 years now. I highly recommend checking them out if you haven't, or trying them again if you previously had a less than optimal experience. read more

I definitely recommend Blush! Kendylle has been my longtime hairstylist and friend! She really cares about her work and it shows through the beautiful hair she creates. She is great at trying to accomplish her client's hair goals, while being honest about budget and what is realistic for each client's hair type. Blush is such a relaxing and elegant salon, it's the perfect break I need from hectic mom life. Go see Kendylle at Blush if you want to feel pampered and renewed! read more

11/10! i went in to get pampered before my wedding and leah and dani took the best care of me! i did a 60min hydraglow facial and the dermaplanning with dani to help prep my skin and my skin has never felt so hydrated! dani took the time to explain what was being done and go over products that i could use moving forward. i had leah for a 60min deep tissue massage and it was perfect! just the right amount of pressure to help those stubborn knots. both ladies did a fantastic job and i would highly recommend both ladies and blush! read more

Blush is the spa to go to! The atmosphere is one of happiness and care! Everyone on the team is so friendly and client oriented. Top notch service from the receptionist desk. to the atmosphere, to the stylists. You are treated like a queen the entire time you are there. All the staff is exceptionally kind and goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Ashley does my hair and it's nothing but excellent. She takes her time to evaluate what is needed and offers recommendations based on your desires. I've never not had a good experience there and I recommend anyone needing salon services to them. read more

Blush Salon has came a long way over the last decade. I've been going here since attending WMU and I have always had a great experience. Ashley the salon manager has really worked on the salon over the last year or two making improvements both through the atmosphere as well as the services delivered. I would definitely recommend Blush for anyone looking for a new salon. read more

disappointed in this place, looked nice online but was very dirty inside. Also they charge $60 for a basic pedicure and when my mom asked for a simple French tip the girl said she didn't know how to do that. They don't offer you a water or anything.. no massage chairs just a pretty no frill experience for a pricier pedicure. At least would expect the place to be clean to charge that much..The girls were nice and that's the only reason I gave even two stars, the actual pedicure I got was not even worth $40 honestly it was uneven and bumpy. read more

I have been to Blush twice for manicures and pedicures. Both times the staff was cold and seemingly annoyed to be painting my nails. This last time, I took my two girls over Xmas break for their first ever manicure. Even my children were wondering why the nail technician was so unfriendly. Plenty of other salons to support with my business. I will not be back! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I was so excited to book this appointment but unfortunately the day of I had to cancel due to a work emergency. I work as a pastoral counselor. I have a person in crisis. While I understand that canceling day of is a super inconvenience both with time and money, I was APPALLED they charged my credit card $155 Cancellation Fee! What? Ashely Feguson and Helena wouldn't even CREDIT it toward the service being rescheduled or respond to email or text or phone call. $25 or $50 I get...but seriously? BEWARE. read more

The first time I went there the shellac manicure I got fell off within one day. But since it's one of the only nail salons downtown Kalamazoo I went there again to have my nails done trying to give them the benefit of doubt. I sat down and the lady helping me was like I can't help you. Since I had polish on that I wanted taken off then a new shellac manicure put on. She would not help me. I was very disappointed and will not be going back. I was hoping for better. read more

I love Blush and have been going for about four years. The salon is always clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Abby is a fantastic colorists, listens to my ideas and wants, and then exceeds my expectations! I had my first manicure done this week by Lisa and it was the best I've ever had. She's very detailed and gentle, and my nails look fabulous. The Salon has done a great job during covid to provide safe distancing between stylists and clients, sanitation and plastic dividers, hands off product assistance and more. I felt very safe and stress free while there. I recommend Blush to everyone! read more

I so highly recommend treating yourself to a pampering afternoon here. I was able to book my visit when they were offering an incredible special on National Relaxation Day, and I set up my series of three appointments for the afternoon of my birthday. What an incredible way to unplug and destress! I arrived early, since they let me know when I registered that during my visit I'd have access to the steam room in the spa and the sauna down at the hotel's fitness center (I gather from the mystified reaction when I mentioned this yesterday and them making special arrangements for me to go down to the sauna, this is not typically available. It's such a nice addition to the day that I hope they add it as a regular feature in the future or make it available as an add-on). The Radisson is such a full-service facility that the world's your oyster when you're at blush. Fancy a cup of tea or a mimosa? It's on the house. Want to order a delicious meal to accompany your pedicure? You'll pay for your food, but they can deliver it straight to your pedi station. I wish they played the ambient music that they play in the spa area out in the salon area as well to keep that chill vibe going throughout all treatments. But maybe some people coming for a cut or color prefer regular radio. The mini facial I received from Brittany was one of the best I've ever had, and the incredible natural fragrances of the various treatments were like an aromatherapy "O" for the senses. I also really liked the jade roller she used as part of the treatment and the facial shiatsu she employed. She also offered great advice on some baby steps I might take to start addressing my aging skin. Since I was only doing a half hour massage, therapist Zac and I decided to have him focus on my problem spots of neck and shoulders and he did great work with just the right pressure. I received a wonderful surprise when I was ready for my final treatment and an old friend, the talented and amazing Zaslow (I prefer to call her Zazzamataz!) wound up being my nail technician. My feet were incredibly long overdue for some work and she whipped them into fantastic shape in no time. She also encouraged me to linger over one last glass of champagne and give them plenty of time to dry. I'm so thrilled with the color and her exquisite application thereof. Not a smudge in the land and such a pizazzy pink. Hurray! Altogether a perfect way to spend my birthday. Going to make it a yearly tradition! read more

Blush Salon & Spa - National Relaxation Day special - Day Spas Near Me - Kalamazoo, Michigan

I had a poorly executed and "rushed" Brazilian. When I went to pay, I waited over 5 minutes because the front desk attendant needed to go and get a coffee. 1.) If the first person the customer see's needs to leave for any reason- have someone else cover the station- simple rule of service. 2.) The service provider should walk you to the front counter and not make you "find your way back" through the multiple rooms 3.) I have never had so much wax left on my body that I had to clean up myself (poor skill set, and rushed service) 4.) Their version of waxing: dump a 1/2 cup of talc on you, lay the strip down, run their hand lightly and BACK AND FORTH (instead of in the direction of the hair growth?), leave out holding the skin taunt, rip the strip back in any direction they feel and then dab the strip all over. Disappointing for $65 and hair and wax still remain the next day read more

I was here for a massage this weekend and had a really outstanding experience. The salon has a really well appointed locker room- although I hesitate to call it that because it's so nice! Showers, changing areas, sauna, hair products, makeup remover, robes, towels and slip on sandals in each locker- everything you would need is there. The massage room is great too- amazingly comfortable massage table that elevates your legs, nice dim lighting and soft music. I had a 60 minute massage with hot stone/bamboo treatment with Vivian and it was absolutely amazing. I haven't had a massage in years but I feel pretty confident saying that this one took the cake- sometimes you don't realize how tense you are until you get a massage and have those muscles loosened up. My neck and shoulders haven't felt this good in so long. If you are in the market for a massage go see Vivian at Blush! read more

Their online prices stated that formal hairstyles started at $50-$65, but my friends and I all ended up paying over $85 for an updo. Although my hair was amazing, my friends had less pleasant experiences. For the price, it wasn't worth it. The atmosphere was nice, and the salon definitely gave a vibe of hip and plush, but the services were poor. read more

I struggled to find a salon where I live so when I was in Kalamazoo I decided to get a hair cut. My husband and I were staying at the hotel for his work meetings so I decided to go to Blush. Best decision ever! But also a sad one as this was exactly what I wished I could find in a salon in my home town. Friendly people, clean environment, and fantastic hair stylists!! I may not be back to Kalamazoo for a few months but I will be sure to visit Blush on my next visit. Fantastic experience! read more

I just wanted to rave about my visit. It's been at least a month and my hair still looks amazing. I was at the hotel for a conference and I decided to try out the salon. I'm so glad I did. I made an appointment with heather. She was Amazing she took her time and I felt totally pampered. The only down side is I don't live in the area so I won't be able to use her all the time. If your in the hotel or live in town I can't say enough about what an great job she did you won't be sorry if you book with her. read more

Terrible experience! I have gone here before and was satisfied, but not this time. In the past I have gotten highlights and a cut for $120 at this salon. This is expensive compared to most places, but not outrageous. This time I paid $150 for just the color and since they didn't have time for my cut they want me to come back and spend another $48 for the cut. Yes, that is $198 for a cut and color. They told me it is because I got highlights and lowlights this time and a toner. It was probably excessive to do the toner and lowlights and that is why I no longer look blonde. Either way it should not have cost this much based on their listed prices. On their website it says that full highlights are $80+ and additional color/toner is $20. Apparently, for my hair it was $80+++++. I cannot be the only person that thinks highlights and lowlights should not cost $150! You are using less blonde and substituting a darker color. Not using more of a color just using two colors instead of one. I asked the stylist how much it would cost before my appointment since I was getting the lowlights. I reminded her that in the past she charged me $120 (cut and color) and that I wanted to keep it at $120 since there wasn't going to be time for a haircut and we were only doing color. I spent most of my time waiting. 30 minutes when I got there. The appointment was supposed to start at 11am but started at 11:20am. I had to wait again to get washed because the stylist was working on another client (full head of foils). There was not time for a haircut and I had my child with me so I didn't want him to have to wait any longer either. There are so many other places that do a great job at a reasonable, honest price! read more

TERRIBLE customer service! Canceled my hair appointment the morning of my wedding and said there was no "budge room" in their schedules to accommodate. UNACCEPTABLE for any business to treat customers this way. Wish I could give less than one star. read more

I love this salon! Brittany does a great job waxing and is extremely professional. Overall, the salon is very clean and the staff is super friendly. I've had a mani and pedi done and I was really happy with the results. A lot of places rush and want to get you out, but I felt like she took her time and I loved the end result. Blush has a variety of services and is very accommodating. I've heard that the massages are amazing, so I'll probably try that next. This is a salon where you feel comfortable and relaxed the minute you get there. I'll definitely be back. read more

I can't say how good this place is I called three times and never received a call back to schedule an appointment!

Absolutely terrible customer service! They cancelled my sister's formal updo hair appointment ON HER WEDDING DAY. She had made this appointment months in advance. They did not even offer another time option or any other solutions to fix the issue (said the stylist had called in sick). Shocked that a "business" could treat anyone this way let alone a bride on her wedding day! read more
