I was greeted by my massage therapist, Cheryl, right away. She was so hospitable as soon as I entered, making me feel very comfortable. Wow! From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this was going to be a good experience. The lobby area has great ambiance - it is quiet, smells great, and has a relaxing feel to it. The rooms are peaceful as well. Sarah did an awesome job with my massage. I had tons of neck and shoulder pain, and she worked on those areas for a good long time, but made time to give me a well-rounded massage as well. Very professional and soothing massage. I am literally speechless. Charles is probably my most favorite person in the entire world! I had severe neck pain that had been bothering me for about a month. I was hesitant to go to the doctors because I did not want to be handed hard pain medications and sent on my way. Charles focused on my neck for a good half an hour and ahh it feels amazing! Got a surprise massage set up, first...I was a little shocked they were open on a Sunday as some spas are not open on Sundays so this was a very big pro. Walked in and the place smelled so soothing and calm. I agree with the 1 comment made, removing the ding when you walk in but I understand why it's there. One of the worst experiences of my life. This was my first time receiving a professional massage because it was valentine's day, so the Saturday of 2/14/18 my partner surprised me. I had a white woman with brown hair give me a massage while my partner was receiving a massage from a blond white man. I was in so much pain during the massage I wanted to scream. The massage therapists failed to tell me that certain levels of pain are not normal during massages. This was my first time receiving one, so I did not know any better. I am a college student who doesn't usually partake in this kind of lifestyle. I also had a cupping session during. I think she left the cups too long on my neck and beat my neck to a pulp with her severely inexperienced massage because I could not even turn my head an hour after the massage because of how much pain I was in. This was no joke. I wanted to cry every time I turned my head during the day and at bed. This pain lasted about 2 months. I was in an extremely worse condition than I was in before. I had never had any kind of neck pains or problems before my visit to Ambrosia. I am a healthy 20 year old vegetarian who works out regularly with a healthy weight. This neck pain was extremely damaging and prevented me from being able to do well in school because I could not have my head tilted downwards for too long without severe pain flashes not turn my head at all and after a certain point too quickly. I called them back after about 2 weeks and they offered me a complimentary massage. The manager's tone during my initial phone call was condescending and rude because he asked me to call back a day later if the pain persisted. Of course it did, and then they offered me a complimentary massage. This was not ideal for me because I had to pay for ubers there and back, a inconvenience they did not offer to reimburse me for. the same white man who massaged my partner massaged me and I felt ever so slightly better after. However, my neck pains persisted for months after this. At least 2. Only just this may has my neck reverted back to some kind of decent state where I am not in pain 24/7. But, I now have to crack it often because if its too still for a long period of time the same pain flashes arise. I saw a therapist in April about this and she suggested that I need muscle neurotherapy because I still had severe inflammation in my neck which has affected my back severely. Hence, the neck pain has grown and persists into my left shoulder blade now. I know this because when my neck hurts, my shoulder does too and vice verse. This therapist said the person who worked on me before did a horrible, damaging job to my body. Like I said, one of the worst experiences of my life! If I were to ever go to another massage place again, I would research the individual qualifications of the massage therapists or ask for them before you let them touch you!
