My heels were barely scrubbed so I left feeling like it was a foot soak, leg rub & nail polish. It wasn't terrible but I didn't feel it was the thorough pedicure I have had over the years. It seems like it's standard for this salon. I do prefer more attention to my feet than they offer, but that is only my opinion.

An hour and a half was spent on shaping my nails alone. My manicurist was throughout my service talking on the phone with multiple different people, laughing and chatting with her fellow coworker that was seated next to her not working, and operating very slowly. At one point she was on the phone with the police and asked me to translate the conversation she had. Very unprofessional. I partially attribute the slow working to the attention to detail on my nails and shaping, but often it felt she was just taking her time. I left the salon with cuts all over my nails and hands, as well as gel polish cured to my fingertips. My hands are still in pain days later. The facility itself is dirty, with the desks for nails being dusty and clearly unclean. My nails turned out okay, my manicurist did not ask for my input in the style of nails. When I suggested that the design I requested be altered several times, she just decided to paint them however she thought looked best. Also, this place charges for different nail shapes? Not something I have heard of or experienced prior.

It's a classic salon, but the work these folks do speak volumes. I got a deluxe gel pedicure and I'd say it was an average price point for the area - $60 and $15 extra for gel. I went in blind with cost but I went for convenience as it's 3 minutes from my home, but honestly worth it. My tech was awesome - making sure the gel on my toes was literally perfect. Extra points for this amazing horse art on the wall because that in itself is a VIBE.

I was the only customer, actually. The place is spacious, quiet, and I would say average in cleanliness and decor. The man who did my pedicure opened sealed packages of all the tools he used, which was reassuring. The massage chairs are old, but work fine. He didn't speak much during the process, and took his time, which is something I appreciate. The foot massage was fabulous. I've never had someone crack my toe knuckles, it was a bit shocking at first but painless. Less good was the cuticle work. I did come away with a small nick that bled a bit, I noticed later. The polish was done very carefully and looked good, but many minutes after leaving, the big toe got very smeared when bumped. Their drying station does not have the ultraviolet lights, only fans and some kind of red heat lamp. It didn't dry the polish sufficiently to keep it from getting messed up soon after leaving. It wasn't the worst pedicure ever and I would go back, in similar circumstances, now that I know what to expect.

I went in for a regular pedi and a shellac manicure. They were able to very closely match the polish for both, but not exactly. Not sure if I selected an odd color or if that's the norm. Other nail salons I've been to have had exact matches. Pedicure was good. Would have appreciated more foot massage and less calf massage, but that's a personal preference. Next time I will make my preferences known. I had a complicated order for the manicure: shellac French mani with turquoise tips (less noticeable as it grows out if you only have color on the tips. I also wanted a thin line of silver glitter between the tip and the rest of the nail. They turned out totally fine, but there could have been a bit better artistic ability on the glitter line and tips. I will return next time I need nail services and would recommend this place to others, especially for pedicures.

If you want gel-x make sure to make an appointment a bit in advance because only one person there does it. They don't take walk-ins in general anyway. My nails lasted a long time and Shirley did such detailed, clean work. After I got my nails done here, one of my friends commented that it was the best she's ever seen my nails. They have a huge variety of colors for shellac and gel-x as well as regular. The one downside is it is quite expensive - I can't come here on the regular but definitely for a special occasion or to treat myself every once in a while.

Due to the service we received and the less-than-impressive results, I would not recommend this salon to someone looking to get their nails done in Sun Prairie. When I arrived, they seemed to have over-booked themselves, as they didn't seat us for over 30 minutes. During the pedicure, I asked for a French tip design, which ended up being a pink polish that dried bumpy with a shaky white line along the top. The water was initially lukewarm, and we were left sitting with it for another 30 minutes. As I mentioned, I initially booked 2 classic manicures (not gel). We were both convinced into switching to gel polish instead after we asked for designs, as the techs said that the designs would turn out better with gel. I asked for a small design (stars on two nails), and the designs ended up smudged and looked sloppy, which the tech refused to correct when I asked. After the tech was done with my friend's design and the polish was curing under the lamp, she experienced pain due to the heat and quickly withdrew her hands. The tech was rude when this happened and seemed frustrated and impolite despite her expressing pain. We both ended up with polish all over our hands, which the techs did not remove or acknowledge. Although the people behind the front desk, who I believe were the owners or managers, were very polite and thanked us for being patient, the techs seemed rushed, were rude, and were upset when asked to make corrections. The nails look OK from a distance, but as the person wearing them, the quality is underwhelming. If the mani/pedis had been higher quality, I would have been willing to look past the issues. However, with the subpar service, long wait, and disappointing quality of the treatment itself, it was simply not worth the $200 I spent.
