As a Cancer survivor, I've dealt with a lot. One of the most depressing things being losing my hair. My hair is growing back, but it's still awkward and I felt the need for a change! I'd seen Carrie on Channel 4's River City Live a few times doing makeovers and makeup lessons. I've done my makeup the same way for years. I don't wear much makeup, but I wanted to see how to maximize what I do use. I went to Carrie's website and booked an appointment. Easy peasy! Yesterday I spent an hour or so with Carrie. I found out that I'd been doing the opposite of what I should be doing with my eye makeup! I also learned that my current lipstick is a good shade for me; but also that, yes, I can wear (cherry) red lip color! I recall going into stores for makeovers years ago, and the employees just slathered on the latest fads ... most of the time, you ended up walking out looking like a clown. The store is well stocked and well organized. There's so many varieties of the items that I came in for. Hair ties of all colors, textures, and sizes. Beautiful and functional hair clips. It is hard to find one that works for my hair because even though it is long, my hair is thin and slippery. I was so blessed to find a type that worked perfectly! I was able to also find the type of hair tie that works best with my hair for the same reason. I have been using the same type for the past few years, but since I moved to Jacksonville, Until today, I haven't been able to find the right ones and at a great price point. A bonus for me was that I was also able to find beautiful bracelets at the front counter that completed my search for a set of red, white, and blue. This is a very good day indeed. Mission accomplished and I found some nice surprises as well.

Her prices are so reasonable, especially for Bridesmaids, no one wants to fork over a gazillion dollars to be one...but she will get you looking your best at a great price. She is fun and easy to work with and also taught me some new great tricks for doing my own makeup! My mom, who was nervous about getting hers done (she didn't want to look like a different person) even loved her makeup when it was done...she came to our hotel too, which was really nice. She was so caring and selfless that she advised me to try out a lash lift instead, as my natural lashes were already long. Knowing that it would cost much less (putting client first, business second). She is such a perfectionist and will take the time to make sure your lashes come out beautifully. After trying her extensions for a few months, she told me to take a break with a lash lift, to make sure my lashes would not get damaged. Any other business would just keep taking the client/money.
