The people in class are all friendly and support each other through the entire class. These are certainly HIIT classes and you will get your heart rate up. The owners have been flexible with the memberships, I travel too much to purchase an unlimited so I buy packages but four a month wasn't enough for me, so now I have 8. It's easy to book my classes through the Basecamp app, you can book up to a week in advance. The coaches have been great, they will correct posture as needed and encourage you to work harder. Class times typically stay the same from week to week unless it's a holiday. Basecamp is a chain so they run specials throughout the year to encourage you to hit your targets. If you're looking for a quick, effective workout that encourages community, this is the place for you.

I was kind of nervous about going to a HIIT class because I haven't done a HIIT workout in forever,…read morebut I'm glad I went! For starters, I went to the 5 am class since it was the only time that worked with my schedule. I was sorta groggy because well.. it's 5am lol, but when I got there..Everyone ( and I do mean everyone) was so happy lol. It really helped improve my mood. I went on a Wednesday which was a full body day. It definitely was difficult, but I was proud of myself that I was able to keep up! You're broken into groups and you rotate between doing a floor exercise with weights or being on the stationary bike. Each rotation is 1 min long. Don't be fooled, that 1min seems to last forever when you're on the bike! The last 30secs on the bike, we were challenged to go faster and hit a certain speed so I pushed to hit the speed every time. The instructor (who's name I don't remember) was super nice and gave lots of positive affirmations for me being able to keep up with everyone given it was my 1st class. It made me feel like I just got a gold star in school lol If it wasn't 30+ min from my house, I'd be down for attending more classes.

I have a long history in martial arts and boxing, and as I get older, I turn a lot towards cardio…read moreboxing and kickboxing classes to keep up my core health and endurance. Of course nothing can replace Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in my life, but I already train regularly where both advanced kickboxing and BJJ are taught. Title is not that gym. However, recently my grown kids have shown an interest in the cardio and training from a boxing class like Title, and honestly there are few places in the Kansas City area that can provide a consistent training experience with plenty of space and bags to handle a mixed class of beginners to advanced boxers. The location is also very convenient to at least half of us. Two of my adult children asked me to take them, so I passed out gear, showed them how to wrap up and stand and hit, and dragged them in for a few intro classes. It was not a disappointing experience! I'm not in the shape I was when I was younger, and I've been down with injuries and unable to train hard at my regular gyms, so the classes we took at Title kicked my butt nicely. My girls both enjoyed the experience as well, and it turned out there was no need for me to help them (they don't want to listen to me anyway) because the friendly staff was prepped with everything from teaching basic stances and foot movement to proper strikes and technique. They even could have provided loaner equipment and they showed them how to wrap their hands. Now... I don't wrap because I'm old and calloused and set in my ways - and in my day we used to punch bare fisted until we bled out our weakness. I don't like that they don't throw out combinations by number (naming the strikes throws me off), and I don't like that there are no kicks. I'm thinking, in my grumpy old man way, that I'm the wrong student to have in class. However, I'll tell you that treating the class like a 45 or 60 minute boot camp (time depends on which class), you can push yourself pretty hard. For me it takes getting past calling out the strike names instead of numbers, overcoming my old deaf ears trying to follow the instructions over the music, and then I got a great sweat on! Lots of ab work! Burpees rock! Lots of time to focus on basic technique! And I got to do something fun with my grown kids! I'm just gonna give this place 5 stars, because *yes*, I signed up for the unlimited plan so I can keep dropping in with my oldest two kids for some bonding, and a hard workout tailored to where my body is. If I was going to take away a star it would be because the Title membership does not transfer between locations. That's disappointing. One of my girls lives right next to another location, and she decided not to make it a regular thing because she couldn't go to the closer place without asking me to add a second membership.

I usually like to try something for the first time with a friend but this time I just went on my own. It wasn't intimidating at all. I felt welcomed by all. The guys working there were super friendly and helpful and they shared the schedule with me (which is challenging to find online if you're not a member). I ended up signing up for a drop-in for a 5:45pm class that evening. The class consisted of tread, row, and strength and I got my workout and felt great! Shoutout to Reese who helped me with choosing a spot to start and got my heart rate monitor up and running. I love popping in to different studios for workouts when I travel and this one was no exception!

My workout regime changed post surgery, but I will always recommend OrangeTheory to anyone who might need al little more motivation. Traditional gyms used to intimidate me, and this is a great way to provide a stress free workout environment. I love the individual stations that remove the anxiety of having to share equipment. I have completed Dri-Tri three times, and would say that OrangeTheory does a great job of getting your body ready to complete such an intense challenge. I also appreciated towards the end of my time there the addition of Strength and Tread specific classes, since I think they realized that was an area they could improve. Maybe one day I will try them again, but if not, they still definitely taught me a lot and got me on the right track.
