Few days prior my wife and I get conflicting times on the massage. Since they are closed on Monday we had to wait until Tuesday morning, the day of the massage, to call. I was told yes, I am at noon, my wife is at 2:00. I ask how can that be because it's a couples massage and the owner was very specific that if scheduled for noon they could get us in. After a brief hold we were told they could get us in at 2. Being that it was birthday my wife had additional plans AFTER the massage, so that was out. This is not the first time we have had to call and bring THEIR screw up to their attention. Then,I get a message saying they marked me as a no show!!!!! A no show after I called to ask about a scheduling error on THIER part?!?! Then I find out stuff like this has happened with our second child that goes there for haircare. Also my wife took our two youngest daughters there for spa day, but there were similar issues with that too.So, they have now lost a FAMILY of customers that had been going there for years and continued to overlook THIER scheduling screw ups.

I used to have to drive at least 25 minutes for any type of eyebrow threading/waxing, and I am so thankful that Pearl decided to set up shop in our town. I called Saturday morning to confirm my appointment but Amy at the front desk let me know I was not on the schedule even though I just scheduled two days prior.. they were able to fit me in 45 min after said appointment time anyways so I didn't get upset. Once arriving I was told I'd have to wait an additional 30 min which was confusing but I had time in the day to wait (ended up being almost 45 min of a wait) The service I wanted, I got talked out of by Tina the hairdresser but I trusted her word since she is the professional. I ended up getting a "curly cut" instead. My experience with her actually was good, customer service wise. It's not uncommon to leave a salon with damp or wet hair to air dry for curly hair (your preference) so while wet I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary plus the employees boasted about how good my hair turned out!! I get home and at this point my hair is lightly damp, my husband looks at my hair from outside the window & is SHOCKED. He couldn't believe the way my hair turned out & told me to look at it. I look at it in my phone camera and the "layers" Tina put in were chunks. I show a friend who is a hair dresser & she was appalled by how horrible the hair does not blend. I also asked for no length taken off and my overall length is shorter. I called to let Amy know I was not satisfied and what are my options. She lets me know she will talk to the owner about coming in to get it fixed. I told her I'm not sure I want to because since my left side is so short, I would have to go even shorter on my right side just to match it which was not the goal from the beginning. My original service had nothing to do with a haircut, I just trusted Tina's professional opinion to save my curls from having a baby 7 months prior. Amy lets me know she will discuss a refund from the owner Monday when she is back in the salon. George sends me an email Monday late afternoon but I didn't get to it until yesterday because of work. When I call, I'm told if I don't come in to get it fixed (which I already discussed why I declined that option) that I could come in M/W/F when the owner is in to see if my hair is worth a refund (Forgot to mention I was asked to send pictures and/or videos of my hair Saturday when I originally called & did so). I let George who was extremely kind & understanding know that I'm a full time working Mom & with my husband & babysitters' schedules, I can only come in on Saturdays. The owner from my understanding through communication would not work with me & refused to refund this service. I'm at a loss & will not be getting a refund unfortunately. It's also unfortunate that the owner Terri/Terry (unsure how her name is correctly spelled) cares more about money rather than a returning customer who just wanted to feel good in her skin after just having a baby not too long ago. I have plenty of friends who are business owners in the beauty industry that agree that this was a poor way to handle this situation. I can understand if I spent hundreds of dollars and took up hours of time that someone else could have been serviced, but I paid under $60 and it took about an hour - hour and 15 min in the chair total. Other than the dissatisfaction of the hair cut, this review is mainly to point out how this business can better handle a situation like this in the future.

I stated if she could do it that would be great but is my hair going to be okay? She said I can't do it much longer but that my hair would be okay. I had been under the dryer for a total of 4 sessions of 20 minutes each. Long story short she fried my hair it now is breaking off and will shrink up like an accordion. My bangs are half the size of my pinky because they broke off and shriveled up. She stated put a mask on it will be fine. I did for 24 hours and it came out in a huge amount in a brush after I washed the mask out. I called and said I wanted a refund to which she stated come in later for it. I did and they were closed. I came back 5 more times during the regular business hours and they continued to be closed. I asked for the refund when they were finally open and she lied stating that she never said I was getting a refund that she wanted to look at my hair. When I stated I don't want you touching my hair again I want a refund she stated we don't do them and I was told to leave. So unprofessional. They shouldn't be open. Never ever go there.

Some places literally do this in a back room of their business, cleanliness was an issue as well as the generation of equipment they were using. At ohio hair Karen used the latest equipment in a clean friendly environment, I was always in complete control and she took great pains(haha) to use the weakest intensity of the electrical current possible while still getting results so it didn't hurt me more than it needed to. Some places just go to full intensity and maintain it for no reason and cause unnecessary pain and irritation. This office is awesome!! For serious!! Lidocaine spray or lotion is probs s good idea 20-30 minutes before hand and make sure your skin is clean and moisturized.
