I did a partial kitchen reno and needed to match the existing quartz counters that Mona's team installed last time. Ran into a problem: they didn't have any remnants in that color, and I'd have to purchase a whole slab just to match a little section. Mona came to the rescue! She offered me a remnant of a different color that she promised matches really really closely the original color. And since the new section was to be installed across from the old one (not contiguous), it would be very hard to tell. Sure enough, it worked out perfectly and Mona saved me a lot of money by finding a creative solution. Just like last time, I was doing this long distance without seeing anything in person. With contractors there is always drama or miscommunications, especially if you are not there to supervise. Not with Mona. Her reliability, attention to detail, and smart problem-solving in every project, no matter how small, give me total peace of mind. And the prices are still very reasonable, even years later! Thank you so much!

Their designer (Tong) helped us with a plan to combine two small awkward rooms into one bathroom and worked within our budget to give us a much more functional space. Work started as scheduled with Steven as our PM and he kept us well informed along the way, handling any issues as they arose and minimizing disruption to the rest of the house. The NKB carpenters (Michael and Jorel) were excellent and kept things moving onsite along with some great subcontractors for plumbing, electrical and tile that Steven aggressively coordinated to ensure the project progressed quickly. The end result was better than we hoped and we only had one small change order for a late change we made to the plan. We truly appreciated the professionalism and flexibility of the whole NKB team from the design process with Tong through final payment with Adelya in Finance. They kept us on schedule and on budget with no surprises. We now have a beautiful bathroom that we will enjoy for years to come!

Surprisingly the low ball option were t so low. We chose DK&M after looking at reviews and remodels they've done. What was essentially a new cabinet project turned into a much bigger job with a wall separating the kitchen and dining area knocked down and a large opening cut in the wall separating the kitchen and living area. We went with a cabinet design from Waypoint that while a standard cabinet are proving to be solid and well manufactured. DK&M (Bill Reed) explained the process and timeline very well and then met the timeline exactly. We replaced the range and microwave as part of the project. Given this was done between January and March 2020 eg COVID time we were surpassingly unaffected by material issues and in fact most vendors were ahead of schedule. They partner with Envy Remodeling and the team Rob sent in was top notch. Very professional, on time , and excellent at their jobs. I did some rough analysis of material and labor costs and based on the hours spent onsite and similar big box store cabinet prices we feel it was a fair project cost. Looking back it was a very smooth process with no drama. We would highly recommend this team for any remodeling job.

If anything, the electricians were the one downside. Good, not great and we've had to swap out some material well before 12 months even went by(under cabinet bulbs). Matty and crew are excellent- highly recomend working with them if you can get on his calendar. The architect he recomends is also very good and reasonably priced(George Berg).

We were a bit surprised by the BY APPOINTMENT sign on the front door but we went inside and the kind woman at the first desk showed us to the faucets. She was very knowledgeable and said she would email us all the information on the ones we liked that afternoon. She also told us most items were IN STOCK, which was great news. Well....to my surprise we never received the promised email so we ended up ordering online through Home Depot and found out later thru the parts department at S&J their price for the same faucet was $125 higher!!! I felt that if we were a couple looking to redo an entire bathroom and kitchen we would have been given that quote on the spot.
