Took a while but worth the wait!! We found Blurock as a licensed contractor from the TimberTech aluminum railing website. We had some misdealings with their initial representative, Antwan. But then we met Jesse who was professional and responsive and took over the project. We had to wait 9 months until they were able to come and complete the project. This was due to supply chain issues with getting the railings, compounded by cold weather (freezing temperatures could crack the granite when drilling). As with any contractor- there are always some missing touches that require additional care after project completion. In our case- it was loose post caps, prior granite holes not completely filled with silicone, loose fence post. Jesse was responsive, responsible and came to repair ASAP. His partner, Troy is also amazingly diligent and kind. We've had different contractors work on different things- and they've all had to come back to fix/touch up after their initial project. So don't be surprised if you need them to come back. All things considered- we are very pleased with the final results. Good things are worth waiting for and his railing work is outstanding. Troy was also very nice and sweet so that was a bonus!

John designed our state-of-the-art modern kitchen that showcased a gorgeous and prominent metallic gold hood that took center stage. Under the hood sits a flush-mount induction cooktop that provides an easy-to-clean cooking surface that is seamless. On each side of the hood, we selected appliances, with the help of Anthony, that complemented the modern space symmetrically. Based on the square footage of the kitchen, we not only had 2 islands but also a separate pantry for storage that had its own sink, second dishwasher, and another rubbish/compost disposal system. The refrigerator and freezer columns are adjacent to the motorized overhead cabinet doors. These cabinets are a very convenient location for our stemware and glassware. Under both islands, we have additional storage cabinets and if that wasn't enough, we have storage that goes up to our ten feet ceilings. We also chose to have integrated lights under the overhead cabinets and dimmable lights with sensors integrated in the drawers. Sean and Ajirth at Showcase Kitchens were both meticulous with the renovation. Sean came after framing of the kitchen space was completed to take accurate and precise measurements. It was at this first on-site visit by Showcase Kitchens that he found that our existing ceiling did not come out far enough to align with the cabinets. John and Ajirth worked on revising the design, which worked out better than the preliminary design. We were very thankful that Sean caught this when he was on-site. He was assigned our project manager and was very responsive and always in contact with us as well as the manufacturer. His coordination seemed effortless even with the language barrier and time zone difference. He assured us that every component of the kitchen was boxed, loaded into a container from Italy and made their way on the ship to NJ, inspected by customs before being unloaded onto a truck for the warehouse and then ultimately to our home. He was very helpful with providing the manifest and plans to confirm that we received our entire order without any hiccups. Sean also came back after the kitchen installation bearing additional accessories and saw the areas that needed adjustments by their specialist for this brand of kitchen cabinetry. He coordinated the work and the specialist came to make the final adjustments. Ajirth came prior and after the kitchen installation to ensure that a Showcase Kitchens representative was available throughout the process. He provided vital information to our fabulous GC (also referred by John) crew and his insight on the product line was instrumental to the design and install. We can't say enough about the services that Showcase Kitchens provided. They are top-notch and work tirelessly for their clients. The manufacturers they work with make exceptionally high quality products that will last for decades. Thank you for making our dream kitchen. Note to the scope of work: We were not only renovating our kitchen but also other areas of the house and the designer we worked with recommended Showcase Kitchens. We are so grateful she did. And we couldn't have achieved the results of our entire renovation without the GC that John recommended. His resources and connections enabled us to safely remove low bearing walls and columns that separated the kitchen from the living room and shore up our basement with new structural headers and columns with footings. Everyone on the team played a crucial role to the unconventional renovation. Thank you Showcase Kitchens!

As efficient as it is, it is beautiful - the result is exactly as I envisioned. I was very concerned about the quality meeting my standard, i.e. I didn't want to see chipping or scratches a few months after use - it's now 3 years later and it is as good as the day it was installed. Showcase is extremely professional, addressed all of my concerns and I would highly recommend them.

But the job they did deserves recognition. Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. Importantly, the team worked efficiently to stay on schedule and were fair when an unexpected issues arose, providing clear solutions. The final result is exceptional, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend ATOZ to anyone.

My husband and I highly recommend the German Kitchen Center in Queens for your kitchen renovation…read more The staff is very knowledgeable, talented and responsive, engendering confidence in their abilities. Our main contacts were Wafaa and Valentina, but we also talked with Elizabeth, Aura and Roei at times. All work seamlessly together to ensure you have the kitchen design you want. They are all very personable, have a 'can do' attitude and are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied. They were patient with our never-ending concerns and questions and we felt completely at ease dealing with them...so much so, we enjoyed our visits to the showroom. The only reason this is not a "5" rating is we found ourselves very involved in all aspects making sure the many details were coordinated and went as smoothly as possible. Despite that, as with most renovations, there is always the unexpected that can't be controlled (e.g. stove gas pipe in the way, heat riser pipe hidden behind the old pantry, sink that barely fit, but finally did, etc.). The staff went above and beyond and were very quick to do everything they could to help resolve these situations. This did result in some delays coordinating with the various contractors, but we all worked together as a team and it all came out amazing! We love our new kitchen and having finished just before the COVID shutdown in NY, we've gotten to know it intimately quickly!

The service at German Kitchen Center is amazing. The quality is great. We came in several times to…read morediscuss with Wafaa (one of the designers there) what we were looking for and to see some of the colors and pieces in person. Wafaa is super responsive on email and the design she created was exactly what we had in mind. The only reason this review lost a star was the execution through their organization with contractors. German Kitchen Center gets their material from germany but the contractor that delivers the pieces, the contractor that installs the kitchen, the contractor that installs the countertop (assuming you buy the countertop from german kitchen center's vendor) are all not from the German Kitchen Center company. As a result, there were multiple delays due to the coordination of these contractors. In addition, you have to handle your own contractor who is the one installing the sinks and appliances and anything else you want in your kitchen (German kitchen center only supplies the cabinetry and cabinetry installation, your contractor has to do everything else) While German Kitchen Center has a liaison to coordinate with that, my experience is that either the contractors are not holding up their end of the schedule or there was a mix up in the scheduled time. A final point is that you have to absolutely make sure that your appliances won't block any potential areas you want to place outlets and likewise, the design provided from German Kitchen Center takes into account the size of the backsplash and tiny details such as how your faucet operates (minute details that are easy to miss) as the handle of your faucet may run against the backsplash if you don't account for the thickness of the backsplash. Overall, I was very satisfied with the end product, and customer service of German Kitchen Center at this location, but was not satisfied with the execution and had to micromanage a lot of the coordination and communication as there were multiple delays to getting our kitchen finished. I'm glad that the contractors always checked in with German Kitchen Center though and one of the contractors (I think his name was consalo) had a good idea to fix the weird gap in the island design to make it flush. The owner, Roei, even directly stepped in when there was an immediate issue at hand and Wafaa (our kitchen designer) was extremely responsive the entire time (even at times when she was celebrating personal events!)
