I finally found MY go-to salon! I got smart when we just moved to a different area of Miami and did my RESEARCH! I was looking for a salon that specializes in "Blonding" techniques. It so hard to get the right color for your look-modern, but natural. MOST importantly, minimize the damage! I have pretty long hair and it is important to me to maintain it. No shade, It's all about personal choice. I need to "do me" and be my best authentic self. I found a terrific stylist here IRENE! She listened to what I preferred, and made terrific suggestions. Her attention to detail and expert techniques plus a great eye for style are all you could hope for. Her energy is so upbeat and positive. The look and feel and movement of my hair is SO much improved! This is my follow up visit and it just keeps getting better and more healthy, bouncy and shiny. You will leave with a hair maintenance plan & looking goooooood. If you value your hair as your crowning glory and you are willing to invest a bit of time, energy and yes $$, this is your salon! Thanks for following me and happy beautiful 2026! read more

I came back to this salon for a balayage and am absolutely obsessed with my result. The minute I walked in, I was made to feel so welcome and at ease by the staff. My stylist listened to exactly what I was after a soft, blended, and low maintenance, and completely nailed it. The atmosphere of the salon is super chic yet relaxing, and you can tell everyone there truly cares about their clients. I left not only loving my hair but feeling refreshed and confident. I've gotten so many compliments already, if you're thinking about getting a balayage or any color service, I couldn't recommend this place more! read more

I truly wish I could give this salon zero stars. They ruined my nice blonde hair and turned me into a chicken. I came in for a cool, clean blonde color and brought clear references (of my last colour service as well). My first toner turned out very warm and brassy. The stylist redid it once, and for a short while, the result looked fine -- but after just a few washes, the toner completely washed out and my hair turned yellow. I contacted the stylist immediately to let her know about the issue. She offered to "fix it," so I came back again. That was already the third time my toner was applied there. Under the salon lighting it looked okay (but still different), but I understood that after three tries, the stylist Maggie simply couldn't achieve the result, and I didn't want to risk damaging my hair even more. I politely said it was okay and left. Once I got to my car and saw my hair in daylight, I realized it was just another warm yellow tone ever worse -- nothing close to the cool blonde I had asked for. Ten minutes later, I texted her again, explaining how disappointed I was and asking for at least a partial refund, since the result still didn't match what I had paid for ($600!) Instead of showing understanding or taking any responsibility, she refused. The salon owner reached out to me a starter blaming and gasllighting me that I was ruining her business and it was my fault i didn't reach out to her directly (how was i supposed to know they didn't communicate with a stylist???). I still offered her a hair and peaceful dilution despite the fact she continued to blame me and manipulate me but she refused. I paid $600 for a service that left me with uneven, brassy hair and a terrible experience. I tried to handle everything respectfully and fairly -- but the lack of accountability and empathy from both the stylist and the salon was shocking. If you value your hair, your time, and your peace of mind -- please think twice before booking here. They ruined my nice blonde. PS. The salon and the "stylist" Maggie blocked me in social media and never accepted the fact that the ruined my nice blonde. read more

Where can I start, the salon is beautiful, clean and every single person who works there is polite, knowledgeable and very professional. Michelle is by far the best stylist in the planet. However, I wouldn't for a second hesitate to do my hair with any of the other ladies in the salon. That's how much trust I have in their work. I have been coming to blunt blonde since the moment it opened and I would never go anywhere else. They are the only ones I would ever trust with my hair. 10/10 recommend. read more

Found Gen looking through instagram/yelp for hairstylists after moving to the area. I have always left the salon feeling amazing and that they REALLY listen to their customers. Blunt Blonde Salon - Full highlight, color and cut from Genevieve - Hair Salons Near Me - Miami, Florida

Had a consultation with Florencia and had a great experience. We spent several minutes going over my hair history, my goals, and the gray-blending look I was considering. Florencia was very knowledgeable, detailed, and confident in her approach. She did a color strand test and took the time to explain everything clearly. In the end, I decided to hold off on the gray blending but I did get a haircut and I'm very happy with it. Florencia was polite, professional, and her cutting technique was spot on. I really appreciated how thorough and honest she was. read more

I was referred by a client of mine to this place for cut and color. I literally walked in and asked for the best hairstylist for shorter hair and bobs. The stylist was busy and working on her last client. I asked for a consultation and Irenie literally felt so bad for what my hair has gone through as of a year ago. After consultation I asked, when can we schedule? She cut my hair right there and then, best cut I've had to correct what occurred a year ago and three weeks ago for what was suppose to be a correction cut (my hair was butchered). She took her time, we agreed we had to take length. I just wanted my hair to make sense and look professionally cut and styled. She was awesome, I'm so grateful for what she did for me. She stayed to help me out, when she was going home. Five star plus! Ty so much, will be back. She really listens read more

If I could give Gen 0 stars I would. I had been her client for months and then my last appt with her, she was a no show. Didn't call or text me to let me know to reschedule etc. I overheard the other employees chatting that Gen did not want to drive over because I was her only client that morning. Irene was there and offered to help me but when she learned of my service needed, she couldn't commit as she had her own scheduled clients. To this day, still waiting for an acknowledgment of the horrible experience I was subjected to by Gen. read more

I have been going to Blunt Blondes ever since 2020 and have recently been seeing Tati. I went in for just a haircut a few months ago and was blown away with her patience and precision. Yesterday, I went into the salon and received baby lights and went lighter than I ever have. Tati was comforting and confident in her work and I am amazed with the results. She truly has a talent and is passionate and precise every step of the way. My hair could not have come out more amazing and healthy, I can't wait to return! read more

. read more

Michelle exceeded my expectations. I have trust issues when it comes to my hair and I have never had a hairstylist that has left me completely satisfied until Michelle. She listened to me carefully, helped me decide which style was perfect for me, and took the time to show me different techniques to achieve the style I wanted. I found her skills and expertise very impressive but her genuine care for her clients truly sets her apart. She is also very pleasant to talk to. I am so happy to have found her and will be returning regularly. As for the salon, it's clean, beautiful, and bright. The staff is friendly and helpful with making appointments, hair care tips, and product recommendations. read more

So beautiful my daughter came out of the salon happy with her new hair!!! Deff recommend for girls who want to try something new!

Absolutely love coming to this salon. The staff is friendly and so caring to your needs/expectations. I came here originally for nail services and decided to do my hair as well. Kassandra does the Russian manicure on me and by far the best manicure I have gotten. My manicure lasts me over 3 weeks! I also tried my hair with Tati and loved how she did it. They are extremely accommodating with appointments and their pricing is reasonable considering they are a reputable salon in Miami. They earned a regular customer with me. read more

Let's take a moment to appreciate the cuteness and cleanliness of this salon. I would also like to thank Genevieve for her professionalism and good vibes in helping me wash and trim my clip on curly extensions along with giving my own curls so much needed TLC. I look forward to seeing the pictures once they are ready. Also, I went home with wonderful product suggestions I look forward to purchasing when I can. I am so happy I don't have to go all the way to 'The Curl Whisperer' for subpar customer service & unfair pricing. At The Blunt Blonde, even curly brunettes can get what they need, which includes the Most Bang for their Buck con un latte y todo. I also love how the team helps each other which is so important for work place mental health needs. I found my new home! Thank you, Blunt Blonde Millenial-Gen Z alliance Salon. read more

I am sooooooo happy I found a hair stylist like Shelly here in California! I have been on the HUNT for a stylist because I am very picky about who can cut my hair. I had my go to guy back home for 6 years so trying new people is hard for me. Getting my hair done with Shelly was so simple. She listened to exactly what I wanted and then dropped some knowledge on how to style it. I have long thick hair that always gets tangled and grows very fast. First, Shelly gave me the awesome tip of getting a wet brush to keep my thick crazy hair tamed. GAME CHANGER!!!! Second, her patience with me and the fun conversation we had throughout my experience was enough for me to want to go back all the time. Lastly, my hair has grown out sooo nicely which is hard since it grows fast. I can't wait for my next cut with Shelly. I HIGHLY recommend her :) read more

I met this styling goddess who transformed my stubborn red-undertone, dark, thick curly hair into a rooty blonde. And if I didn't give her enough obstacles, I came to her after months of disappointing appointments with other stylists. My hair was dry, dead, and over processed and Shelly gave me life! Truly, you will not be able to resist falling in love with this angel. She is sweet, funny, so down to earth, and an expert with hair. Also, if you're itching to go for a real change and lob your hair, go short for a change, or change up your short style... Book your appointment now. I was scared to just go for the short hair I've always wanted, and I haven't looked back. She gave me the most flattering and custom cut for my face and I have not stopped hearing the compliments!!! read more

I would not trust my hair to anyone else! Shelly is exceptional. I've gone to her twice already. My first time I went in, I had really long brown hair that had no style and no life. I wanted a change but was terrified. Shelly made me feel so comfortable, asked me questions about my daily lifestyle and hair maintenance, she explained to me hairstyle and color options based on my skin tone and answered all my annoying/nervous questions. I left her salon feeling like a new confident woman, with a long bob blonde balayage! I just went back to her again a few days ago, and we went blonder and shorter this time. Once again, her amazing personality, patience, and talent resulted in another wonderful experience. I love my hair, love Shelly's passionate work, and her positively vibrant personality. Highly recommend!!! read more

I haven't actually gotten my hair done at this salon yet but thanks to a miscommunication while booking an appointment I did get to talk to the owner and I was very impressed by the fact that she took time out of her busy schedule to call me after hours and explain everything so that I would be satisfied as a customer. The work ethic displayed through out our conversation and her desire to make sure that every client is happy so that her business can thrive is a characteristic that all business owners should posses . Making an appointment with this hair salon is a nightmare. Most of the time the receptionist tells you she will call you back to give you a date and even when you have an appointment "anything can happen". I just got a call from them 30 minutes before my appointment time telling me they had to cancel because Michelle had to pick up her kid. If you are a business owner and have had this appointment on your schedule for a week, (with a 50.00 deposit by the client) how do you not make arrangements ahead of time for things like this?!! Because the client is not their priority here! I have seen this kind of thing happen there while getting my hair done, their approach to work is very "relaxed". They mostly work office hours and their needs come before their client and if you don't like it that's fine with them. I told her it was very unprofessional to do that and that i would not be returning and there was no answer. The stylists are not even all that experienced there. read more

Shelly is the best! I have been doing my hair with her for years and she has effortlessly transformed my hair from blonde to brown to red throughout the years. I spent many years unhappy with the tone of blonde I had because no one was ever able to get exactly what I wanted done, and Shelly nailed it! Her color and cutting techniques are both top notch (which is sometimes hard to find in a stylist). Most importantly, she listens. She takes the time to understand what I am looking for but is also honest about her thoughts! She executes flawlessly every time. When I sit in her chair I have no doubt that I will have great conversation, she is inspiring and instantly makes you feel like a friend! I find such great comfort in knowing that my hair is in GOOD hands every time. I recommend Shelly without a doubt in my mind! read more

I paid 420$ for this color "correction". I'll let you decide for yourselves I specifically asked to stay blonde and to blend the color together. I think the pictures will do justice to describe HOW AWFUL MY EXPERIENCE WAS. im licensed in ny to practice cosmetology. when I had reached out to the salon to try and resolve this, I was met with some bullshit run around as if I was stupid. Top everything off, the stylist didn't even blow dry my hair afterwards. Took my card and shoved me out the door. you be the judge! I even showe'd and texted pictures of what I wanted. My hair was light and blonde before. Pay 420$ to go back to brown with no highlights and all my hair cut off is traumatic and not to mention the salon owner calling me to tell me my hair was messed up before and that I had no clue was talking about!? I'm licensed in ny and well aware of basic Hair color 101. So insulted and I've never felts so ugly in my entire life for 420$!! Just so heartbroken. Oh and ps, i spent the WHOLE entire day there. From 10 am to 4pm.. I'm not sure what took so long to go from blonde to ugly one solid poop brown color. I'm so literally devastated. read more

The salon was recommended through a close friend and I absolutely love everything about this place, from the owner, the staff, the atmosphere, the vibe, their work. My appointment was for balayage, trim and blow dry with Shelly (Michelle)- the owner. My hair was a hot mess, with different shades of brown and some black still lingering around. ~ShellyStyles, it's literally in her name! By the time I started playing with lighter colors, Michelle had already left to California. It would be a while before she would come down and just like any girl, my patiences ran low and I went with my usual hairstylist. I had trusted her to do my darker shades, what was a little lighter?.. wrong! When Shelly got to my hair I was frustrated, back to dark and had really malnourished hair. Slowly but surely, a little over a year since our first appointment, my hair is in better shape than ever! Michelle only uses the best of the best products, Olaplex, Matrix, Monat, to name a few. I would recommend Michelle and her team to anyone looking for a quick and sweet cut to a drastic new look. She's very personal, takes the time to really get to know her clients and is 100% real about how far she can take your hair with only one session. You'll go from client to friends in as little as 3 hours! Thank YOU, for coming back to Miami and making my life a little ~lighter read more
