The course is mainly across the street from the actual park so it's best to park along the road. The course is very technical and has tons of water. Almost every hole has lots of water or at least some swamp like areas. There are many bridges and narrow fairways. It's not the best course for beginners. There are few places you can just let it fly without fear of losing your disc. The course is in pretty good shape. There were no maps in the mailbox at the beginning of the course, so it was tricky a few times figuring out where to go and the last hole was completely confusing. There is a port-a-potty about half way though the course which is nice. The park itself is nice with a play ground, walking trails, biking trails, a gazebo and a rec room that you can rent out for birthdays and such. The park also offers bikes and canoes you can rent. We did not see any alligators but there are "watch out for alligator" signs all over the park and disc golf course.

There is a huge pirate ship, water features to explore, misters, picnic tables, sand area, swings for the kids (& adults!). Restrooms are inside the complex & next door is the sandbox children's museum. Nearby is the beach access also! Literally the best (& also free) day excursion for any family. There are ponds around the area with fountains where we saw an alligator & a plethora of turtles. Definitely a must visit when coming with a family to visit Hilton Head. The boys are already asking to come back!

I was disappointed there were no restroom facilities. I would think this would be a requirement of…read morea National Park. They need to add one in the parking lot. Additionally, there are very few benches. Only one bench exists along the walkway from the parking lot to the Ibis Pond. We rested, but then felt forced to get up because a couple of older ladies came along and we knew they would need the bench. The only other seating we saw was a picnic shelter at the Ibis pond. (No trash containers at the shelter). At the pond, there is a very small butterfly garden. We also went down a more natural dirt path in the area. It overlooked the marsh at a point. Lots of tiny little crabs in the candy soil running around. The main path is more like a road and is wide and easy to travel, but no trees overhanging. So be sure to wear sunscreen, wear bug spray, and carry water. Thankfully it was overcast the day we went in late September. We saw an alligator, several common gallinules, white ibis, great egret, great blue herons, and great egrets.

This beach was like no other beach I had been to. Being the…read moreexplorative individual I am, I stumbled upon this beach which I thought would be a perfect spot to spend my birthday exploring. Urghhh not so much...!!!! This place is located in a residential area and I drive around on a unbusy Monday being a work day but, it still took me like 30mins to try to find a park just to enjoy the beach. I was thinking I did t make a good choice for a beach day. Anywho finally after spotting a person pull out from a street parking spot, finally I was able to park. Next venture i had to figure out was how to get to the beach now. Because of road blocks, I ended up having to ask 2 men at a hotel and they directed me which way to go. At this point, I'm starting to feel defeated but, I'm determined. At least, close to an hour later...I see the beach. It did had a water sprouting from the ground, a few swings for couples so nice landscaping. Then there was the beach, sadly it was not at all what I had expected as the water was muddy looking. Also the sand-flies were aggressive & everywhere. I sat on a boat for a few minutes checking out the view but, honestly on this day it was not much to enjoy beside the wedding that was about to take place. After only 10mins sitting, the sand-flies won! I left the beach and walked around and went through a restaurant which I noticed a lovely pool and a Tiki Bar next door. So thought I would grab a cocktail to start celebrating my birthday to but, not before getting bite 5-6 times by the very aggressive sand-flies. Warned: The beach does not offer the most easiest access to get to. I would have preferred going to Orange Beach in AL so, for this reason instead of staying the 2 nights I planned on staying...it would t have been worth the money. I only stayed in Hilton Head 1 night!!!!!!! Please put up signage so, people know where to PARK and BEACH ENTRANCE SIGNAGE so, 1st timers will not be defeated in trying to go to the correct area of the beach. It's not fun feeling like you're in a maze when visiting somewhere new.
