Bluewater oysters

All the Yelp reviews were correct! The service is outstanding, even with a party of 10! The Bluewater oysters were good, the she crab soup was tasty and the Bluewater platter was yummy. The tarter sauce had good flavor and the house salad dressing was great. We left happy and full. Everyone loved their meals. Definitely a must do if in the area.

It would be easy to overlook the Bluewater and dismiss it because it is attached to a gas station. That would be a mistake. This is a fun and delicious place to enjoy fresh seafood, and we look forward to bringing all our out of town guests here! We had the shrimp and grits (unusual to have spinach and mushrooms, but the Gouda grits and sauce were spot on). The Lorenzo's catfish was a huge flavor sensation. Our server was attentive without hovering and made sure our drinks were topped off. The rolls! So yummy with butter and garlic topping! We got a piece of key lime pie to go (kind of small but very rich). I already know what I'm trying next time!

Food was delicious, even the sides!

Saw many recommendations for Bluewater Grill by locals, and it is very good. Next time, I'll go for some oysters and crab claws. Saw other people getting them and humming, they were so good. Our server, Terry, was friendly and efficient while juggling multiple parties. Hope she's there when we go back! Note that prices have gone up since their menu was last posted, but not ridiculously, and where hasn't that happened in Columbus recently?

Awesome food! Love this place. Have to try when in Columbus. Great atmosphere. Fresh food!

Chargrillled oysters ,grouper, shrimp.pompano, brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes with a can of Guinness nitro

Regularly travel to Columbus on business and have eaten at most of the restaurants here. Including Mabellas, Saltcellar and other well known downtown ones. If you are looking for seafood, this is it. Nothing even comes close. It is my favorite go to place for comforting yet healthy food with a very lovely, friendly ambience and nice people all around . The chargrillled oysters with jalapenos , bacon and a drop of their home made hot sauce are heavenly, as is the shrimp pompano . The grouper is done fried, blackened and my favorite - a thin, flour dusted pan sauteed version. The she crab soup so reminds me of some places near the Indian rocks beach in Florida. Extremely fresh and truly the coast coming to the heartland. Very well stocked bar and a good collection of drafts and cans to choose from and pair with the seafood.

The food was amazing. The hostess was very pleasant, but our server left much to be desired. She started out wrong. She didn't bring us the amazing, complimentary rolls we saw everyone else getting. We had to ask for them. Then my husband asked if they served pina coladas and she said yes, but what he got was coconut milk on the rocks. She claimed that they didn't have a blender. Well, that should have been explained upfront. I was bartender before becoming a healthcare provider and I had NEVER seen pina coladas served on the rocks. My husband took one sip before she had a chance to leave the table and he told her that it wasn't good. Her resort was that she couldn't take it off the bill because it was alcohol and that he did good to get that because she's severely allergic to pineapples!! Huh?? She spoke with the manager and said it would be taken off the bill, but we were still charged and didn't notice it until after we had left and they were closed. We turned the car around and got them to correct it while they were still there.......even one of her cohorts noticed her poor service and apologized. As far as the food, DELICIOUS!!!! The crab claws, mashed potatoes, and dinner rolls were to die for!!! We're from out of town, but would go back just to dine here!!

We ordered a couple of their specialty salads and were not disappointed. They were packaged to go but we ended up dining in. See photo for cute to-go pic. There was a complimentary water station with 2 offerings: a cucumber water and a ginger infused water. I never had ginger water before and i really liked it! My Bouncing Blueberry salad tasted as fresh as i expected, it was chock full of ingredients and very filling. I highly recommend this veteran-owned business and supporting their mission of spreading preventative health education thru food.

I'm here for a week and this is my second amazing lunch here (and I highly recommend their Build…read moreYo Poke restaurant, too). You literally can make limitless combos to have your salad exactly as you want. All dressings are made in-house, which is pretty impressive. You can order a rice bowl with ingredients, too. The portions are beyond generous (a small salad would be considered large elsewhere) and the array of ingredients and toppings is exceptional. On my first visit, I ordered a small spinach salad with grilled salmon. As toppings, I added chopped red onion, shredded carrot, pineapple, mandarin oranges, blueberries, chopped strawberries, chopped beet, blue cheese, sliced avocado, dried cranberries with their in house made raspberry vinaigrette. It was literally one of the most delicious salads I've ever had. I was so stuffed from the generous portion that I didn't need dinner. On my second visit, I got a veggie wrap with grilled chicken, chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, shredded carrot, blue cheese, sliced avocado. I got the in-house buttermilk ranch dressing on the side (and ended up not using it-sandwich was amazing without it). I was asked if I wanted chicken warmed (I didn't) and I was amazed at the skill of the preparer who was able to tightly wrap the ginormous quantity of ingredients into the wrap and halve it. I only ate half my sandwich so I have lunch for tomorrow. Win-win. The black cherry tarragon soda was so good as was the Italian lemon soda. Their soups sounded great as did their desserts. The staff was so friendly and helpful. (Don't forget to tip!) The tvs on the walls show cool food art being made. I'd come here and their Poke place at least twice a week for lunch if I lived locally. Prices are extremely reasonable for quality and quality of food.

If you're anywhere near downtown Columbus, this needs to be your stop. The Old Fashioned was beautifully balanced, garnished with a gorgeous orange peel, and at $10 it's an absolute steal -- honestly, they could charge more and it'd still be worth it. My wife is vegetarian and had the pasta, which she loved just as much -- great sauce, feta, sunflower seeds for crunch. This place genuinely has something for everyone, carnivore or not. Add in a waiter who was on point the whole meal and that down-home Southern ambiance (exposed brick, string lights, the whole vibe), and you've got a restaurant that nails food, drinks, and atmosphere all at once. If you're looking for where to eat in Columbus, don't even think twice -- this is it.

But, other than that our actual wait person was awesome and the food top notch! The hot pimento crab dip is to die for and the Harlot Burger was a definite winner. We also very much enjoyed the banana pudding. Charming place, friendly service and great food...just wish the greeting was a bit more welcoming, still a 5 star experience.
