The ambiance on the Bluewater Bar + Grill patio is really nice in the summer. My party of 4 was able to come on a Sunday without a reservation and enjoy some live music. The waiters were attentive without being overbearing, always making sure we had water and such, but giving us space to have a conversation. I enjoyed the salmon, which has a really beautiful presentation and was tasty. My husband got the rigatoni, which was delicious. It came with some sausage and a creamy sauce. We shared a pineapple cheesecake off the dessert menu, and that was good not great. My parents really enjoy coming here because of the vegan menu, which is larger than many of the surrounding restaurants. read more

Nice place with an outdoor patio and in the summer they have live music. Somewhat of a nautical decor. Small 6 seat bar with some high tops. Service has ranged from very good at the bar to slow and not very good at a table. Summer months seem to be much busier. It can get loud, not a place for a quiet romantic evening. The best meal I have had here is the Caesar salad with panko chicken. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer is also very good. The margarita pizza is one of the worst I have had. They have a whole vegan menu, which I appreciated. I got the Basil Chickpeas and they were delicious. My guy has the lasagna which he really enjoyed as well. We went during the week and it wasn't busy at all. Service was quick and our waiter was very friendly. The food was really great! Extremely busy last weekend of the season so service was spotty but apologetic.. ran out of water glasses and drank beer from the bottle because of the glass shortage. Started outside but moved inside because the small 3 piece band had volume way too loud for the venue. Whatever happened to background music? Loved the outdoor music concept but it felt more like an outdoor concert. Inside was noisy because busy but we could at least have somewhat of a conversation without yelling. Came here for dinner recently. Got the Caesar salad, calamari and shrimp carbonara pasta dish. The calamari was excellent, lightly battered yet crispy. Salad was pretty good too. Pasta was Aok, the combination of ingredients didn't seem to go quite well. Overall good spot in Barrington. read more

The best part of this seafood restaurant chain is that there is no corkage fee for the first two bottles of wine that you bring in. The ambiance at this location is pretty good, and it's very comfortable to sit outside on a nice day. Most of us found the food to be very disappointing. I ordered the personal pizza. I don't recommend it. The grilled crust appeared to be frozen, the sauce tasted like a cross between red sauce and ketchup. On a positive note the yellow tomato appetizer is delicious as well as the buffalo cauliflower! Although a bit more buffalo sauce would have made it better. This not a place we frequent but went because it was Maddi's 6th birthday and she wanted to go there. This was the worst experience my fiancé and I have ever had at a restaurant. The service was not professional at all . The waitress forgot a special and rolled her eyes . She said , " I can just ask the kitchen ." Then , I ordered a burger well done (pretty basic order ) and it came back red. I asked the waitress if possible for a new burger all together . She proceeded to question me as to why I didn't touch the bacon . After 20 mins she comes back and says, "They pieced your burger back together but you got a new bun." That just grossed me out that they put the burger back on grill , and the way she worded it just made me not want to even eat it . As she came back at the end of the meal she does not even comment on the untouched burger and says , "You didn't even eat the tomatoes ." I was so uncomfortable with all her comments . Then she has another wait staff clear the dishes alongside her , and says "There your job is done for the night " and laughs . Not even paying attention to my fiancé and I she takes the dishes walks away and brings a check with out even taking off the untouched burger , or asking how everything was . Normally I would never leave a negative comment as a Yelp review on a business (I would simply just never go back .) But this service was just so deplorable. You would think in a time where places are experiencing staffing shortages, they would at least maintain quality customer service to those giving their place business . Good selection, predominantly seafood, excellently done and moderately priced. Drinks were good, moderate. We arrived early, with a reservation, and opted to eat in the restaurant. The room was quiet, but got noisy as time passed. There was not much of a water view, (but a lot of stored boats (across the street from a very popular marina). Freaking excited! Bluewater Waterfront Grill Impossible Burger preferred temperature and the Impossible Bolognese. Man, my belly aches for pleasure. -rudy Owner Brian Thimme, says seasonal, local ingredients will remain the stars of the menu, but even though former head chef Cara Duskin has added more vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options to their menu, Blue Water just added Impossible Burger 2.0 and the results are wonderful. The Impossible Bolognese, well it's truly Italian and the burger... my favorite as of 03/14/2019 as I have tried many styles and tastes across the states. At the kitchen, I have to say, Polly! Well done man, awesome how you created an Impossible medium rare burger, that was delicious. David! Bolognese, come on man you did it! My wife and I were so excited that we forgot to order the red wine. Very nicely done. When Troy, Blue Water's Manager came to the table, presented and said, here are the two Impossible 2.0 dishes... well, my jaw just dropped with excitement. See, even though I have been a friend and have followed Dr. Patrick O. Brown, I didn't know that it had arrived in Rhode Island. Made our evening just that much better. Although Vegan Executive Chef Cara Duskin is no longer at Blue Water she left her wonderful creations and supposedly now creating in Boston... soon to travel to check out her new 'stuff'. We've been back to Bluewater a few times since our last less than stellar experience and I'm happy to say they were all great visits. They have updated the inside t give it more of a modern and fresh look. We enjoyed quite a few items of the Spring and Summer menus. I'm a fan of the shrimp taco appetizer and always love the seasonal scallop dish. Their Caesar salad is absolutely delicious. Their website lists nightly specials, such as $10 pasta night or kids eat free night. They often list nightly specials as well as live music on their Facebook and Instagram accounts. This was my first visit to Bluewater, and it will be my last. Our server was great, but unfortunately, another employee ruined our experience. My friend and I had dinner at Bluewater Bar & Grill Saturday night. Our reservations were at 5:00, and shortly after 6:00, a woman came to our table and said that a party had arrived for their reservations and they needed to be seated at our table, so we had to move immediately. I still had a full drink. She said I could bring it to the bar and drink it there. She came back a few minutes later to tell us once again that we had to leave. I told her that we couldn't leave without receiving the check and that we had just paid and were waiting to receive our cards from the server. She said, "The people have been very patient." Why were we treated this way? We had two entrees and ordered four drinks between us, and somehow it was okay to demand that we leave. It is unacceptable to treat customers in this manner, and the fact that management thinks it is okay to do so makes me angry. With everything the restaurant industry has gone through in the last two years, they should be grateful for every customer that walks through their door, instead, they are only concerned about flipping tables as quickly as they can. I am disgusted by their mistreatment and unprofessionalism. read more

My wife and I had lunch here this week. We had heard about the chef's ability to create delicious meals at a reasonable price. We were very pleased with the swordfish sandwich and eggplant dishes. The service was attentive, friendly and competent. We hadn't been to this restaurant for years because the main dining room noise was excessive. So we chose to sit outside on a perfect summer day in an area appropriately landscaped with sea grass and flowers. But the ambiance was compromised by the music that was being played. My guess was that the average age of the other customers was in the 60's. The music was more appropriate for teenagers. It should be an easy fix to select music that is age-appropriate and complements the fine food and service. read more

I would say this is a really good find! First time here. Mussels were fantastic, fresh and the broth was definitely worth dipping the bread into . The atmosphere is Loud! Not a place you'd bring a date for a quiet evening but definitely bring your friends for a good meal and conversation. It seemed Sunday night was family night so there were a ton of kids. There is a nice outside patio that my friend and I decided to sit . The dinner was great as well as the service. Everything smells out pretty quickly. No complaints.A definite try. My girlfriend and I went to Bluewater Bar & Grill on Saturday night and I just wanted to share our positive experience. It was our first time dining there and the place has a great ambiance. Very bright, clean, with a most appropriate nautical feel since you are right on the water there. We got apps, a 1/2 dozen shucked oysters as well as fried yellow tomatoes, both of which were fantastic! The food was fast to be ready every time and it was steaming hot. For entrees my lady got Surf & Turf and I got the Mini Rigatoni with a Cesar Side salad. The entree portions were large enough that her and I both brought half our meals home to be enjoyed later. All of our food was amazing as was our server, Troy. He was extremely personable and fun and made good suggestions when we were ordering (which a little guidance at a new restaurant is always helpful). We were extremely pleased with our experience at Bluewater and will absolutely return again soon! read more

I went here today and is was delicious! This place was very kid friendly. Kids got a free ice cream when they got something from the kids menu. Not just a Hoodsie Cup or something small! A HUGE ice cream! And you can have toppings in it too! And kids got free Wikki sticks! The property was small though. Granted, it was in a marina so they don't have a lot of space. I have to say, the bathrooms were very clean. The interior design was outstanding! The waitresses and waiters were funny and they joked a lot. It seemed like they knew each other personally. The hostess made it clear that it wasn't one of the "bubbles" and I really appreciated her clear description as it avoided any confusion. We had a great view of sunset, but as the temperature dropped the waitress, Karen, proactively switched us to another outdoor table that was under a heat lamp (Awesome!). We made reservations here since they offered outdoor seating and want to support restaurants during this unprecedented time. They greeted us and sat us down with a table that was just disinfected and gave us disposable menus. I ordered a refreshing mocktail with muddled strawberries basil and seltzer. Delicious The hubs ordered a New England Lobster roll which was full of juicy pieces of lobster on a hot buttered bun and shoestring fries. We've eaten here many times since they opened years ago. We've had good food and service while dining in person. During COVID we got take out many times to support a local restaurant. Each time there was an error with our order not discovered until we were home. We never complained. Most times it was minor things like no salad dressing, wrong side, etc. We did take out again a few days ago and once again we got home and were missing a side if vegetable we had ordered for a toddler. It was on our order and charged on our receipt. Whoever is packing up the take out orders needs to double check the orders before they go out the door. Another restaurant we have been going to for many years. Back when it was the Tyler Point and the Micholetti's were running the place, we always got hugs and kisses at the door. The actor Anthony Quinn used to sit with his wife at a back table. He would blow my Mom kisses. What a good time it was. We were sure to run into several people from town. Well, time goes by and the Micholetti's have moved on. One of the partners from Stella Blue has taken over the place. They brought a lot of their own people, and menu items. I don't think many of the original dishes have remained. I know they worked on their menu with local celebrity chef Joe Simone. It was in the papers! The menu changes with the seasons too, so you will see new things. They will also make you just about anything you ask for. We had my Brother's wedding reception there last year and we have booked the place for a couple banquets, and we have been very satisfied. My favorite menu item is the wild mushroom ravioli with cheese sauce and grilled asparagus. Next is gnocchi in vodka sauce or shrimp fra diavolo. They have good bread for eating with pasta. I like their chicken Marsala with little potatoes. They have a big hamburger they serve with a big plate of shoestring potatoes. The calamari is very good and we order it a lot too. My Aunts like the chicken CVM, which is a baby greens salad on top of a chicken cutlet. I like the pasta myself. It's not perfect. I have a couple issues, like a rock lobster tail in my seafood risotto or restaurant cutlets in my chicken parm. I wish they put more protein in their pasta dishes. Not perfect, but plenty of food I like. It also seems a lot louder than it used to be. Different ceiling panels, more tables. Very, very loud. They usually have 3 or 4 specials too, and I order them pretty often. I'm not drawn to cheese sauces, gastriques, reductions, .... I like traditional food and you can find both there. A few review mention the price vs value of the place. 90 percent of the time, I order an entree under $20. There are a lot of offerings between $20 and $30, and you have to pay for a salad! There are also $15 specials all the time and they have been running the pasta Tuesdays for $10 for a while now. You get what you want. You can be frugal and still enjoy the place, and you can celebrate and go all out. My friend and his wife went for dinner and drinks and it cost him $200. I just brought 3 friends and our bill was $140! Beer and house wine vs Grey Goose Martinis. You know where the money goes. I enjoy eating there. Stop by, and see for yourselves. read more

Our visit here tonight was spontaneous though it had been on our list for awhile. I was pleasantly surprised with all aspects of our dining experience. First (check my tip), local draft brews on tap for $4.50 was a nice start. This alone gives me a convenient excuse to have 3 pints instead of... well OK, let's just say that the 3 pints were less expensive than they normally would be. I chose one of my favorites: Foolproof's Farmhouse Ale. Next we decided on our appetizer-- the margherita pizza. The sauce was flavorful especially after it cooled a little. My only (slight) comment is that I wished that the crust was a little thinner (very minor). For my main course I had the salmon with bok choy, mushrooms, and a chili sauce glaze. I enjoyed this lot! I did choose to split the multi-berry fruit tart for dessert which was also delicious. Service was also very attentive. 4.5 stars seems more like it and I will definitely will be back to try some of the regular and special dishes! read more
