I had an event of about fifty people-- we had a two-hour serving window. Keepin Up With the Jones's food truck came about 90 minutes or so early to prep. The menu we had included: pulled pork, buffalo chicken sandwich, chicken bacon and ranch sandwich, cheeseburger, hamburger and popcorn chicken. Along with fries, baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad as sides. I am not kidding when I say everything that came out was great! Everyone was clean plate club. (And that is saying something. My wagon is overflowing, and hard to pull. The cooler is full. There's multiple food options packed from fruit to sandwiches to chips to brownies. There's candy and popcorn and a multitude of sunflower seeds. I've got something for everyone. But it never fails. It's the third inning of our first game and I have the hankering for more caffeine. And while I am already two cups in, fully caffeinated -- with a Coke Zero waiting for me in my jam packed cooler-- I still have to walk over to Tom's. The staff is always pleasant. Price seems standard. The menu has something for everyone (except puppers. My bougie Boston Terrier legit expects a pup cup when she smells coffee and Tom's lets her down each time). My last purchase was the nitro brew with cream. Delightful. Overall-- Traveling Tom's Coffee is a worthwhile food truck slinging coffee to over committed softball parents. Local Burrito is synonymous with happiness in my mind. Try it out, you will not be sorry. Also, here's a pro-tip. You order and pay on the left, then get in line on the right where you tell the peeps what burrito you got. There, you can say if you want salsa/hot sauce, or none. The salsa is SO KILLER though, you have to get it.

If the ingredient mix were balanced, this could have had much more flavor than it did. The other menu additions, such as Korean fusion and thai peanut tempeh, sound intriguing so I'll update my review once I try those.

The portions were TOO BIG! OMG, I barely made it through a third of my meal before I had to give up and put the rest aside for left-overs to eat later. And then, my next problem is the food itself. Tasty, delicious, perfectly prepared, and so good that just SMELLING the aromas on my drive home caused me to gain five pounds. My final complaint? I ordered two gyros, one for me and one for my better half, and nothing else. When I got home, we dug in, only to discover that they had tossed in a free order of (mouthwateringly delectable!!!) french fries. Okay, so kidding aside, the food and the service are wonderful. At $9 each, the price seems a bit high to me, but then again, everything seems expensive to me these days. A quick web-check shows me that nine bucks is about average for the area, and speaking from experience, these Gyros seem above average in quality for the area. My only other (real) complaint? The hours. With labor/wages being what they are these days, I can understand the short hours, but that doesn't mean that I LIKE them. If you want to taste a little bit of culinary heaven, keep your eye on the calendar and the clock. Gyro Hicks is open from 11AM to 1:30PM, and only open on Weds, Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Even so, it is DEFINITELY WORTH IT.
