The steaks were good but you need to order a head of time because they are all hand cut. It reminded me of a old school piano bar . They have a full bar and good wine and beer selection. The server was super cool knowledgeable and very helpful. While the food took a while it was well worth the wait. The cheese cake was realy good too.

It was covered in dust and not clean at all. The staff were very inept and really had no clue how to wait on people, or work in a restaurant. They both were dressed like slobs. The food, what a huge disappointment. The meat on the Ruben flatbread show have been corned beef, it was roast beef, over cooked, bland and was ready to be tossed. The drizzle of dressing was minimal and no flavor.the drinks were nothing to write home about. It's really unfortunate that this was not a better place. Downtown could use a nice daytime lunch venue, but this is not it at all. Our bill for 2 drinks, 1 app and 1 flatbread over $50 before tip. I will not be making a return trip.

Also the sourdough bread was delicious, we had a couple rounds, ha ha, and that butter, as the saying goes, smooth like butter baby! After experiencing fine dining through living on the West Coast and traveling internationally, I…read morewas excited to learn that the town I grew up in had a restaurant that offered a tasting menu. I knew I had to try it on a recent visit back home. My experience was mixed. The excellent: our table service was next level with each dish being thoroughly explained. We were educated on the thought process behind each wine pairing as well. Between each course our table was cleaned and we were presented with fresh silverware. The great: the food was presented beautifully and our meal looked incredibly impressive. The interior definitely invoked the Brooklyn vibes that inspired the restaurant in the first place. It feels very upscale hipster. The disappointing: though the overall experience was tasty and texturally perfect, each dish we tried had some overpowering element and flavors were not balanced. After the tuna crudo all I could taste was celery, after the morel mushroom pasta all I could taste were the pungent chive blossoms, and the trout skin/asparagus were over-grilled and I felt like I was eating a well prepared charcoal briquette. Maybe I'll give this place another try next time I'm in town and hope the flavors make as much sense as the rest of the experience.

Classy, upscale place with great atmosphere, food and drinks…read more We like to share the Rueben Sandwich basket with Parmesan fries. Two for one happy hour suds!

As many times as I've been here, I've never written a review, so here it goes…read more LOVE the atmosphere, for some reason it feels like an art deco speakeasy. I've never had a bad experience with the staff, though my friends and I usually sit at the bar. I used to get the Cuban on the pretzel roll back in the day but sadly the pretzel roll went away then so did the Cuban. One constant I've almost always have had is their Parmesan fries, they've always been a highlight either as a side to a burger or as an appetizer. Their version is easily some of the best fries I've ever had. The dipping sauce is on point, I recommend getting two of them. Something that has fallen off in recent years and I keep forgetting that fact, is their cheese wontons. I first fell in love with cheese wontons at Irish Democrat many moons ago and I've been chasing them ever since. They were good here once but not anymore - too much CRUNCHY wonton wrap and not enough cheese. People don't eat wontons for the wrapper, they go for the filling, if they didn't, that would be like going to Paris to see the frame and not the Mona Lisa. For these, the dipping sauce is always the best part of the dish. Overall it was a positive experience as usual. I will return.
