Drinks aren't cheap but also not expensive. Cheese curds (small) for $12 ... in NL seems high. $5 domestic drafts. They also have a big burger and tater tot challenge where if you eat it all you get it free. I'd not $35. Fixin to do it. The wings by the way come with NO dipping sauce. $12 for basic wings and you need to pay $1-2 for sauces. Place is a little weird. Run very cheaply. First day on the job bartender was rude and typical from my experience. Heard they are fixing to sell. Hoping new owner can take not to the next level as this place has potential but incompetently run and staffed.

It was my first time going there, so I browsed the menu and ordered a chicken bacon melt. After 30 minutes of waiting I finally asked the bartender to just close me out after a couple beers. The woman bartender had her stomach out all over the bar surfaces and there was clearly some tension going on with the staff. Even if the food did come out I'm pretty confident it wouldn't have been good. Will not be going back when there are far better options in North Liberty.

When we got there we sat on the patio and the vibe is always fun and casual. We ordered appetizers and happy hour drinks. The Spicy Chicken Thai flatbread is always delicious. We also ordered the chips and queso/chorizo. It is so so good. No picture of the flatbread as we ate it so fast. Lena was our waitress and she was delightful, attentive and sweet.

We ordered the Pork Tenderlion, Grown Up Grilled Cheese and rhe Wacky Patty. It took a little long for our food to arrive but it was well worth the wait. Pork Tenderlion was a little on the small size but tasty. The Wacky was delicious and the Grilled Cheese. Sides are ver6 tasty. There is an astounding slelect of beers offered. Both draft and bottled. After I asked the manager if the kitchen was short staffed, as the food took a littke long. Alex stated that they had a limited staff at the tome as most had been on break. As we were on our way out, Alex presented us with a gift certificate for the delay. It was ver6 unexpected but greatly appreciated. Overall, our experience was very good and I will be recommending this establishment to my friends. Well worth the time to head out to enjoy the fares this establishment has to offer

The food the food was excellent. Jordan did a good job of describing the various options we drilled in on the pork tacos which apparently were on special and then the fish and chips which is what I got. I also got the cucumber and onions it's a side dish Yum Yum. Service was great. We were here at a pretty quiet time around 3 o'clock. So there really wasn't a lot of people around. Piggy enjoyed her pork tacos along with the warm mac & cheese. we will definitely be back here again as it's only 2 miles from Hallmark. I may even have to order to go and drive out and pick it up from my girlfriend a.k.a. the wife. If you're in the area you should drop in.

I've had the Cajun Jack chicken sandwich, the Reuben, and The Miami, and found all the be solid sandwiches. I have yet to have had a bad item on their menu, but nothing has blown me away. Barrel house differentiates themselves a little in the side dish arena, offering chips, potato rounds, and barrel cucumbers as slightly different options along with the common fries or salad. Barrel House also has a few house beers. This location has a good layout, with a bar area with some high top tables along with booths and tables in the open main dining area. There is also a smaller patio area outside for the summertime.
