On a Sunday, we were surprised to find this business was not too crowded and we sat immediately. The breakfast burrito is quite small (by fatso American standards) but the bagel with egg my friend got is the same as American sizes. Coffee is tasty. Staff is friendly and English speaking. In a cool part of town near our Airbnb, so I recommend this place for at least one brekkie or brunch. read more

I enjoy this corner coffee and bagel cafe. It's reasonably priced, the bagels are reasonably good (though that can vary from person to person, but as an American I find them to be acceptable), and the service is consistently good and swift. Every time I'm in this area during the summer I always always get their basil hibiscus lemonade. It's cold and refreshing and I'm a fan of it. Also the WiFi is free. Found this place while looking for a GF breakfast place in Vienna and I'm so glad I did. First of all, this was one of the best coffees I had in the city. They also had GF bagels!!! These are hard to find in the States, so I was shocked to find a place in Vienna that had them. They totally made the breakfast sandwich and weren't crumbly/ flavorless at all, which is typically a problem with GF breads. And the employees did not make us feel weird at all about asking about our gluten free options. Definitely check this place if you are in Vienna. read more

It was a nice Sunday morning in Vienna. I was really craving bagels because I haven't found a nice bagel shop back in Germany, or at least in Bielefeld ... The shop is easy going with good services. I had a hummus bagel with salad, it was tasty and with just the right amount of the hummus ( I hate having over loaded sauce in my face...) The coffee was fresh and great. Coffee review only. It was decent. I'm guessing I'll have to accept Vienna's standard for coffee, but in my view it's not all that great. I find myself sticking to either filter coffee or americano since the milk is likely UHT and steamed terribly. Enough of the rant though. So, Blue Orange. Good service. English menus available. Americano coffee fine. Latte... meh. BUT this place is in a great location with plenty of seating and outdoor seats where you can soak up the sun. Breakfasts and bagels seem to be a specialty here. Finally found a good bagel place in Vienna. They have around 15 different fillings and always a monthly special. The bagels themselves are very very good and the first one I ever had here was TH BEST. (Sadly a monthly special so they don't have it all the time.) Service is swift, friendly, efficient etc etc..... You pay at the till after noting your table number which is a very cute idea and gives it a certain intimate feel. Here at the Blueorange you can enjoy the French and Bohemian life the best. They offer breakfast also in the afternoon and in a nice ambience. The café is located close to Vienna's city center, in the inner 4th district, with a little patio on the street as well. If you come at the right time of the day you also catch some sun. I ordered the vital, which came with a bagel, cheese, cream cheese, hummus, fruit yogurt, mini salad, apricot jam, and fresh orange juice, all for 7.90 euros. The bagel was toasted and pretty good. The icing on the cake is that everything can be to take away! :D First, the ambience is nice and relaxed with friendly young waiters and a modern and simple decor (sitting along the road can get quite nosy though... But isn't very annoying). Second, they have plenty of interesting beverages, from coffee to bio teas, chai tea and matcha green tea, cold or warm, with soy milk or vanilla soy milk if wished for... I had the avocado bagel sandwhich and the mango-jambo smoothie, and they were decent. The bagel itself was well-toasted and warm when it came to the table, and the avocado and other ingredients were fresh. The smoothie was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. Good cafe to study/do work if you're looking for a place to switch things up--or to grab brunch with a couple friends. Not too expensive, but I wouldn't say it's cheap. They also have a to-go area if you're in a rush, but I feel like sitting down is better for enjoying the toasted bagel. read more

Personally, I don't get why this place is always basically empty when I go there. (In the evening during the week) This place (as well as their other location) is the only place in Vienna I know where one can get a relatively cheap, healthy snack. And so I find it great for a small supper if I've had plenty to eat during the day. And considering how lunches are usually ~10€ wherever you go (if you don't count trashy places) anyway, 4-6€ for a sandwich, 4-7€ for a bagel and ~8€ for various meal offers doesn't seem particularly unreasonable? They're also very delicious. Especially that beetroot bagel I once had was pretty heavenly! The seating is also very comfortable and the service very friendly (at both locations). The only thing I didn't like was the trashy dance music (at least at this location). I wanted to relax and write in peace but that just wasn't possible. Could this be part of Blueorange's problem? Alienating the more culturally interested people in the area with those horrific sounds? Anyway, for me it loses a point because of it. But that's the only reason. read more

Perfect place for a healthy and delicious breakfast and/or lunch. The vegan/vegetarian options are yummy! They also have plenty of GF options. Reasonable price for the quantity of food. They also have an English menu and speak the language very well. Not to mention that they are very polite. This restaurant is a type of place where younger folks tend to go to. I've also seen people bring in a laptop while drinking coffee or something, so the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. I'd go there again! I appreciated the gluten free bagel option, it was freshly baked and very crispy, and perfect. I would definitely eat here again.

I am obsessed with bagels, very hard to please when it comes to them, and heartbroken that bagels don't have a larger presence in Austria (the country which invented them!!). That's why I'm very grateful to this place; it has great bagels. I tried their bagel with cream cheese, both the plain and the everything. Excellent. I also tried the American sandwich (an everything bagel with cheese, egg, and cream cheese but I got it without the bacon) and that was amazing, really reminded me of my New Jersey breakfasts back home. I also tried their Italian bagel (mozarella, pesto, and cream cheese). That one was alright, but I wouldn't get it again.
