The menu has a few options for everyone. Beers: (5/5 stars) They have really interesting beers, smoked, with hot peppers.... My group of three really enjoyed 7 Stern. Fun atmosphere in a traditional pub. Great traditional Bavarian food and drink. Staff is very friendly and helpful and professional. Would definitely recommend and will plan another visit. read more

Seeing all the brightly colored, healthy looking breakfasts from Cafe 7*Stern (Stern is "star" in German) on Instagram got to me -- I made a reservation online for 2 people for a Saturday morning and anticipated breakfast that week. Then on Saturday morning, on a quiet walk with my husband down Siebensterngasse we made it to the cafe and got a nice seat by the window. We were the only ones in the cafe at first (Cafe 7*Sterns opened the same time as our reservation -10:00) and I got to take some pictures of the modern, cozy, university-student like vibe and interior before other people started coming in. I like Cafe 7*Stern because they serve a variety of unique and diet-friendly breakfasts. There is for example a raw vegan breakfast, a "starry breakfast," and funny enough, a "hangover" breakfast with Portuguese sardines, tomato juice with Worcester sauce and a pitcher of fresh mountain spring water. Each breakfast includes a smoothie of your choice (a nice perk!) My smoothie was more like a thick juice and had carrot, orange and ginger in it...mmmm... My breakfast, which was the "Full breakfast" was about 10 euros with the smoothie. I found this a good value/price for the breakfast I got: Egg of my choice (ham and eggs, omelettes, scrambled eggs), Bread + homemade herb butter, homemade granola with a choice of yogurt, fresh fruits, honey and amaranth pops, fried grapefruit with vanilla sugar and a smoothie. 7*Stern has all the potential to become my second home in Vienna :) I went there today for brunch and loved it! I picked the vegan breakfast which was perfect - the portion didn't look big, but it managed to make me feel full and the "sweet green" smoothie with it was better than I expected. It consists of grapes, banana, pear and lettuce. I was a bit suspicious about this kind of combination, but it was sweet and the taste of lettuce kicked in just a bit later. Also I think the price (8,80 for brunch - including smoothie!) was very acceptable. What I really like about 7*Stern is that it can serve as a cafe and restaurant, but I can imagine that it could also be very nice to go there in the evening to have a few drinks with friends; as well as I could just bring my laptop along and work there. read more

Love this place! Can be a bit slow but good if you're not pressed for time. Came back a second day to get their one of everything breakfast and muesli bowl! They make their own bread and herb butter and it's seriously AMAZING. Great granola and smoothies too!! read more

a nice place mostly known for the nice outside seating area. specially during those lovely summer nights. its so known for this culture of good drinks and some snacks, that i never took a look at the menu before. Through my fellow yelpers i was lucky enough to discover that they offer not only food in general but they also have their regulars for breakfast and brunch. i went today with my brother for breakfast. we had the big breakfast (eggs + müsli + smoothie). personally i didn't like my omelette it was to light (i guess to much milk in the mix), but it worked for my brother.. so i guess its a personal taste thing. the müsli was good. smoothie really impressed me. all in all a good place to go to, casual and very relaxed. read more

Trendy, bright spot in the heart of Neubau with outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Great for brunch since they serve breakfast until 16:00. Lots of healthyish flavorful options, including vegan choices, served by friendly staff. They put a twist on their food without deviating too much from the tried and true formulas - for example, including avocado and black sesame with shakshuka. Untraditional, but delicious. The 49 tram stops right in front of the restaurant, so super convenient to get to also! read more

This is the ultimate bang for your buck breakfast in the 7th district. The atmosphere is great with a ton of natural light, and it is one of the few breakfast places around here I have found that will accommodate a party larger than 5 or 6 so it is a great place to meet up with friends. Most of breakfast the selections come with a ton of food and a smoothie for around 10-11 Euros. Definitely make a reservation. read more

Oh how I wanted to get excited about this place! Seems like they have some healthy options, however while their rhubard drink is tasty, you are playing the price. Also, in the evening you really have only two food options; one being a sort of club sandwich (fairly good) and the other something completely forgetable. Nice to sit outside, you are not straight on the road. Staff is not pushy, however I was also there for a party and their service was less than optimal. They did not make it easy for us to order drinks in the room that was specially reserved for the guests, limiting the options to beer, red wine, white wine, and if you wanted anything else, like an aperol spritzer or food you have to go outside the reserved area to the bar to ask another waiter there for it. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me (which you are I suppose if you are reading this post). And of course the bathroom.... well if you ever want to chop trees down for no reason but to waste, come here because the paper is not absorbing at all so you need to pull a bunch and try place in thier already overfilled trashcan. Anyone who appreciates music and doesn't check out their events is a moron of epic proportions. Now that I have your attention (or lost it), let me elaborate in a more reasonable manner. First of all - up until today, I didn't know about this stuff myself. Secondly - this review is really all about their "Wohnzimmerkonzerte". All I can say about the rest is that my table was wobbly as fuck but the waitress was nice and cute. So there's that. After watching a few samples of the band playing this evening, I thought "Hm, they sound quite alright, could be interesting." And it was. Stylistically, not all of it was my cup of tea but... from a technical point of view great. Great dynamic between the band members, some interesting guitar techniques, great singing and there was interesting stuff on bass and drums as well. But that's kind of specific to THIS event. What's more general... Apparently, there's never any entrance fee for these events. But bands might obviously ask for a voluntary donation and might have a CD you could buy. If you don't go inside with a drink, a waitress may come by but I'm not sure that she always does. Which... I find fine either way but I find worth pointing out. If you're lucky you get to sit at one of the tables right in front of the stage! (I did - just ~3 meters away from the singer) And since it's a small room - if the band that night isn't nuts, they'll play at a volume level that is totally reasonable and won't make your ear drums shiver in pain. Which they did (play at reasonable volume, that is). For me, it was a rare treat to actually be able to hear instruments almost as clearly as I would in a recording and to enjoy live music without ringing in the ears afterwards. Yet... to get back to how this review started out... it seemed aside from friends and possibly relatives of theirs, there was almost no one there. And I thought to myself "What the hell is wrong with people?!" (I'd say only about a third of the ~40 seats were filled) Although to be fair - there was also a group of people who arrived later on and kept talking during songs. So loud that one could hear them yell and laugh over the music. Yeah, I guess that's one downside - as soon as you have a slightly bigger audience, you can get disrespectful people like that. Fortunately, they left after a song or two. But that has nothing to do with how fantastic the concept in and of itself is and how seemingly good quality at least some of the bands are.
