On our first morning in Vienna, we opted to venture out of the hotel for breakfast. The hotel did offer a breakfast on-site, but it was listed as 21 Euros. We figured we'd shop around and see how that compared to eating at other local establishments.
This restaurant was only a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and was well reviewed. It is probably within 10 minutes of the Hofburg complex It was small, but they were not slammed so we got a table near the door. Service was fine. They seemed to have about a 50/50 split between locals and tourists.
The menu had both German and English, I think. Everyone was able to find something they wanted. I think I got a croissant and a yogurt, but may have also sampled some fruit from someone else.
Overall, I liked the breakfast here. When we paid, it was around 58 Euros for the 3 of us. Not bad, but it put the hotel in perspective.
If you want to dine out for breakfast, this is a decent choice. read more
