Went with a Groupon ($14 wine tasting for 2 and a free wine bottle) and was pleasantly surprised. The lady helping us try the wines was personable and willing to give recommendations on wine pairings. I loved the peach and green apple along with the blackberry and pomegranate one. They all were so complex in their own way. Would love to pick blueberries when they are in season.

This place was very pleasant, I went with my daughter, she had a Groupon. The lady who served us was very friendly and very attentive. He explained us very well about the wines

Glamping trip winding down, so we wined it up!

For being the winter months, selections of wines can be minimal. Our groupon we found netted us 5 tastings but only 4 varieties exist. Cannot fault them personally since cold weather does kill their supply. While our glamping trip was coming to a close and making our way back from an Airbnb on the Suwanee River in Mayo, this winery was selected as our first stop to sample wines since a groupon was found by one of the glampers. This winery boasts wines made from their berries and fruit fermented on site! Off the paved road, through a dirt road and surrounding trees, we enter an entrance of the left into a clearing where this winery is located. As we drive through the property on bobling terrain rocking our rental van, can see random small buildings among the rows of vines (hibernating in the winter time) and finally at the far end where the very small tasting room is located. It had a quaint porch complete with a swinging chair overlooking part of the vineyard. Picturesque, we got some strangers to take a group photo and then we proceed inside. We saddle up to the serving area, present our groupings, which have to note they only had 4 out of 5 flavors to sample, so they will repour one of our choice. We sampled the Windsor White, Windsor Red, BlackBerry Bliss, and Sweet Strawberry. The young lady was nice and pleasant pouring and conversing. Also around the tasting room were creative merchandise to buy including a coaster and a shirt that have a hilarious parrot holding a wine glass that's says "Scr*w the cracker, Poly wants wine" LOL . Oh and a hilarious picture frame phrase in the bathroom that reads "If you drink NoNoir you Pinot Noir" Haha! Also against one wall were wine in a rack against the wall where a window to the backroom shows many blue barrels? Fermentation going on?? Hmmm.. All in all we took a group photo at the tasting area and enjoyed a pleasant experience sampling wines. My personal likes are that I enjoyed the Sweet Strawberry but truly enjoyed the blackberry bliss that slight deeper flavor similar to a cherry Cole deep flavor kind of way! Liked so much, I purchased two bottles as well as some funny merch such as a hand towel that goes along the lines of "my super power is drinking red wine, whats yours?" and of course that hilarious wine coaster with Polly holding that wine glass I mentioned before. Oh and one last thing, was nicely surprised when one of my friends asked where the nearest park would be to enjoy such wines in a picnic fashion to which the young lady effortlessly answered theres one very nearby! Very awesome Oh and was nicely surprised the young lady easily helped answer our question of where a park would be for us to go have a picnic with the wines we are buying. Turns out there is a nearby park very close by! Let's drink some delish wine with our leftover glamping food of salads steaks n tomahawk n more!

Amazing place to taste locally made blueberry wine. Greta place also to pick blueberries when it's in season. Don't forget to try their fusion wine selections. A must-visit place if you enjoy a glass of vino!

I just love U-Pick season here in Gainesville!  If you've never heard of U-Pick, it's exactly what the name states; you pick!  With all of the great farms out here in North Florida, February - July are prime times to pick local, natural fruits and veggies, all for a great price.  This late in June still allows some time for Blueberry picking so I thought it the perfect time to head out to the Winery with my bestie, DeCara.  I lucked out and found a great Groupon for only $16 that called for a wine tasting for 2, PLUS a bottle of wine!  I love Groupon, *insert ugly cry here* Bluefield Estate Winery is about 20 min outside of Gainesville, tucked away in the trees where you'd never find it unless you were truly looking.  With lush grounds covered in Muscadine and Blueberries, upon arrival, we knew we had to be in the right spot due to the beautiful fruit and landscaping.  After walking into their trailer-office, we were greeted by a kind young woman who was attentively pouring wine for a group of women who had already begun their giggly wine tasting, as well as all of the wine-themed gifts you can imagine. Buckets were stacked and ready next to the door, and visitors were able to simply grab their buckets to head off on their blueberry picking journey at $3/lb through the bountiful blueberry bushes.  We happily grabbed our buckets and set off to the blueberry bushes!! We had received a bit of rain earlier in the day so the grounds were moist, also leaving the blueberries with a natural wash and glow for us to enjoy as we began our picking.  The Estate had over 5 rows of what seemed like 15+ bushes per row!  Every step I took to the next bush provided me with even juicier and sweeter berries than the last!  Even so late in the season, I had no trouble finding ample bushes to pick from as I happily popped about 5 berries in my mouth for every 2 I dropped in my bucket.  :-D Our Groupon afforded us a wine tasting, but we didn't know that meant we got to sample EIGHT wines!! Sheesh!  Groupon is TOO good to me.  Bluefield's specialty are it's Muscadine Grapes and Blueberries, while other wines/ingredients are sourced from California but you'll hear no complaints here, as they were delicious!  The young woman conducting our wine tasting was quite generous with her pours as well, as by sample #8, I was passing my last sips to DeCara!  Each wine was so tasty and prominent, I couldn't believe I got such a bargain! I believe that Green Apple and Pomegranate were my favorite, as they were both sweet, yet bold!  DeCara decided on Pomegranate as her free bottle to take home and she loved it! At only $6.50 for our 2.2 pounds of fresh blueberries + $16 Wine Tasting Groupon = $22.50 for an afternoon of boozy, blueberry fun sounds like a total win!

10/10 Vineyard!! I got a Groupon for $14 for two people that included 8 tastings (8 per person) and a bottle of wine to bring home. It was such a good deal! The best wines are the raspberry, pomegranate, and the blackberry. They were out of some of the wines to take home (like the raspberry and blackberry), probably because they're really popular, so I would recommend ordering your to-go bottle early so that another group doesn't take the last one.

I came here not knowing what to expect. The tasting room is pretty small, only a couple of seats. We had a Groupon for a wine tasting and free bottle. Most of the wines were delicious. A lot of fruity flavors (it is blueberry wine after all). The employee working was very knowledgeable about the different varieties of wine. Their best tasting wine was sold out though so we left with our second choice of wine.

I really enjoyed Bluefield! My husband and I got a groupon to do the wine tasting- which included a bottle of wine. It was fun! The wines are sweet - we both typically drink red, dry wine, so it was different for us. We still enjoyed the experience! It was a homey feel - like you were on a family farm, with super nice people working there! Our favorite wine was the dry blueberry wine, but we also liked the semi-sweet blueberry wine. The white muscadine wine was pretty good too! It was raining when we went and we had a glass on the porch. It was relaxing and a good time!

Bluefield Estate Winery is definitely a hidden gem that is just 20 mins outside of Gainesville. I was lucky enough to find a Groupon that offers 8 wine tastings for two and a bottle to take home for just $14! Their signature wine are made with blueberries and I love their dry blueberry wine. All of the wines they offer were great, the staff is super nice and the shop has many great items to purchase. Upon looking up their website I found out they have monthly wine subscriptions to ship wine to your house. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

    Wine tasting with friends!

First time ever wine tasting and Bluefield exceeded my expectations! The wines were delicious and very fruitful. I had not had fruit flavored wine like blueberry, blackberry or strawberry before. Upon arriving, I was a little sketched out because it felt like it was in the middle of no where. There were a few other groups of people but my friends and I felt like we were the only ones in there. If you go, I recommend trying the semi- sweet blueberry, blackberry and peach wines! I look forward to going again soon.

Most people don't know this winery is around. Due to city sign restrictions it is not clearly marked from the road. It is definitely a small family run winery, which makes it special. It is located off of this beautiful country road with beautiful, old farmhouses. You can pick blueberries here in season. They do offer tastings. You can choose four wines for $4 or eight wines for $8. If you choose the $8 you can end up tasting all 11 wines between the two of you. They make some of their wine from blueberries which causes even the driest wine to be sweet. In fact, most of their wines are sweet. My two favorites were the Sweet Blueberry with hints of vanilla and honey. And then the Blackberry Bliss merlot. We came away with four bottle for $39.99 including tax, which is not a bad deal. The tasting was short, about as long as the drive to get here. Off the beaten path. Family-owned, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Great place to take a date!

    Beth G.

If you like fruity and sweet this is your place. See photos --$4 for tastings of 4 and $8 for tasting of 8--which I think that should be subtracted if you purchase a bottle of wine!! Off the beaten path with a blueberry farm for picking and honey harvested and used in their sweet blueberry wine. Girl was friendly and helpful.

You can pick which ones you want to try, they put them on the tasting tray for you, and you can either stay inside or enjoy the outside area. The Hibiscus wine was very interesting to us, and ended up buying a bottle. The Rustic Red is almost as if it has soda in it making it refreshing for the Summer time. V+C's noticeable attention to detail (marble table tops, miniature variegated Scheffleras and etc.) made it extra special and stress free for me right off the bat, and my first note to myself was, "This is going to be a wonderful experience that I got for a song." I have a deep appreciation and admiration for all things done well and purposefully and this was it. The event was like a three-hour next-level Food and Wine Festival specific to a stream of glorified apéros. It was V+C's inaugural event and here's how it went down. There were five stops at premium restaurants on the V+C: Taste of the Town Center Walking Tour. The participants consisted of two co-producers of the event, 12 tour mates (more like team mates), one photographer, one videographer, five toasts, and we shared five delicious appetizers paired with five mystery bottles of wine. The blind wine tasting concept they used was multi-dimensional and offered an unbiased sampling session. We discovered our taste preferences and the characteristics of the wine individually. Everyone was fully engaged trying to figure out the elements of what we were tasting and what we liked and didn't like about the wine's structure. V+C shared interesting fun facts about each mystery bottle of wine after it was revealed which I enjoyed very much. There were no stingy pours. As a matter of fact, V+C was very generous during the entire event with the pours, the pairings, and an adorable cookie favor for everyone and plenty of good vibes. They provided pens to jot down notes on their brand's stationery notecard which also acted as a fan. By the end of the second stop I was gliding gracefully through the walking tour without a care in the world. It was so much fun hanging out with a new circle of groovy people exploring and just being in the moment. The time for this walking tour flew by. I'm looking forward to doing this again in the very near future.
