This was my first time at Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant! We decided to go here randomly and I…read moream so happy that we did. You walk in and it is the wine tasting room and gift shop. Our waiter, Kyle, was absolutely incredible! He explained how the wine menu shows which wine pairs well with each food option. He also spoke to us about joining the wine club, which does seem like a good deal, if you have a location by you! I started by ordering a glass of moscato, which was very good. We then received a pretzel bread roll. This pretzel roll was incredibly good! It was crispy and airy, which is different than other rolls in a good way! I then ordered the Gnocchi Alla Vodka. Vodka sauce is my favorite type of sauce and Cooper's Hawk's vodka sauce did not disappoint! The dish was delicious and it had plenty of Italian sausage in it. You can also add other protein if you would like. If I am traveling and see another Cooper's Hawk, I will be sure to stop!

Despite presentation clearly not being a focus of the kitchen, the food has exceptional flavor…read more The wasabi mashed potatoes are very good, but the way they present them sort of makes it look like a cat puked in the middle of the potatoes. However, instead of the potatoes, being fluffy and white, they are dense in yellow, which does not contrast well with the wasabi sauce. The medallions were prepared to a perfect medium rare with very good flavor, and the toppings do not take away from the flavor of the meat. Of the three toppings available for the medallions the blue cheese is unremarkable and has a tendency to overpower the good flavor of the medallion. The service was great, and I enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere. At $50.00 this meal is a little underwhelming. However, it is not bad. It is a good meal with good flavors overall and it is nice to have with a glass of wine on a late afternoon lunch..

Came for Mother's Day brunch and avoided the crowds by going the day before the actual holiday. And…read moreit was a great decision! Mother's Day specials were available but none of us ordered from that menu. I had the lunch size spaghetti and meatballs and it was pretty good! And still a good portion. I also had their espresso martini (mocktail version) and that was lovely as well. Last time I went our service wasn't my favorite experience but this time went much better! Cooper's hawk - you have redeemed yourself. One thing to note - it does get super loud in there and it can be hard to hear people at your own table. So if you're looking for somewhere intimate and quiet, skip it this time!

We got here at 6 pm. They had an exact count of guests. Every meal was identical. It is now 8:13 PM and we are still waiting for dessert to be reserved and they will not bring it in it to go boxes even though 30 minutes ago I said we had to leave and were told it would be 15 more minutes They definitely could have prepared much better I absolutely expected more I think some people are blaming the planners and that is really unfair because it was definitely a Cooper's Hawk shortcoming Still waiting.

Like me, if you don't read closely, you might miss the fact that their wine, all their wine, is…read moremade from blueberries. But that laziness might be a very good thing because this is one of the most surprising wine experiences I've ever had. I believe variety in life is a good thing...and this place provides a nice departure from mainstream wine. They have 4 wines. Just 4 wines. There is a dry option that truly is dry and definitely tastes a bit of blueberry. It is a pleasant wine for sipping and relaxing. The next in line is slightly sweet and again rather tasty. The next one is the best in my opinion. It's a "blend". Not in the sense that you normally think of wine blends (you know, multiple grapes) but in a way exactly the same because it's more than one berry. They blend blueberries and blackberries to create an amazing fruity and semisweet wine. This is more that a dessert wine. I could see it as an aperitif, or maybe a lunch wine on a lazy Saturday at home (thinking cold cut sandwich and chips). The final wine was sweet. They finally crossed over into the taste profile I expected for the whole lineup. Service was friendly and gracious. Somehow I expect this guy does a lot of defending his wine against the conventional. Our kindness, open-mindedness and acceptance of this alternative was well received. So in the end, if you're walking the streets of Brunswick and want a little mind-expansion on the wine front, stop in...I think you too will be surprised.
